    glue some magnets on your 90 bracket device, they can hold pieces down as well.

  • @gordparrott9640
    @gordparrott9640 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    There are switches just inside, behind the front logo, that operate the alarms, one for the tray, one for the lid. Also, I cut square "Cs" that will easily hold down your warped material. My camea worked first time.

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yeah after the sponsor saw the video they told me about the switches inside 🤦🏻‍♂️
      I'd love to see the "c"'s you made! that would be super helpful👍🏻
      Glad the camera worked for you. i haven't had a chance to revisit it yet😅

    • @gordparrott9640
      @gordparrott9640 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stuffsethmakesCan't seem to upload a photo here, but I measured the total depth including the 3mm material and drew a square "c" . The opening is larger with 6mm material. Also, the top edge of the C needs to be skinny so as not to interfere with the module. The C slides down btwn the slats. Twist it under the slats and over the material.

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @gordparrott9640 so the height of the C just needs to accommodate the rail and the thickness of whatever material i'm cutting? 👌🏻 Maybe i can 3D print some. Thanks for the tip!

    I initially had the same issue with the camera. However, using a different USB cable solved the problem. The camera is a really basic USB webcam module.

    wait a second why did the initial cut of that wood end up burning? did you ever explain that in the video or did i miss something? cause the rest of your cuts looked great what did you end up doing to solve that problem?

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      you're referring to the cut test? i think it started burning it because on that part of the cut test is where it's doing the cut with the slower speeds and the most heat. That means those first few cuts are generating a lot of heat in that same area with no real cool down time in between (because the little squares that it's cutting during the test are so close together). I also think this happened because it was the first thing I did with this 40watt model and I was only used to the 10 watt model so I didn't really know where to start with my heat/speed settings so i just SENT IT 😂. I could've run my first test cuts at more conservative settings and built up from there.🤦🏻‍♂️. Hope this helps to explain it. I think I did NOT mention this in the video...i should've!

    Are you still loving it and would you recommend it? I like that you can step down the 40W to a 20W! I was considering this one or the Genmitsu L8 but this seems to have a few more features! Thanks again!

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you!🙌🏻. I'm definitely still loving it and i do recommment it. I also like the 10 watt version I had but when I got this 40watt model I gave the 10watt to my friend who is in his 70's and he's been having fun learning how to use it.
      I'm really happy to have the 40watt over the 10watt though. The extra "umph" makes a big difference.

  • @paulettealfonso2024

    I have an issue with my 60w. My machine is not powering up at all. I checked all the hookups and nothing. The green light to the power bank lights up but no power is going to the machine. Can you give me suggestions? I contacted the manufacturer and they are useless

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      bummer! hmmm. the only thing i can think of off the top of my head is the emergency shutoff button. Is there any chance you might've accidentally bumped it? Double check that to make sure it's in the correct position. Another thing you can check is the key lock if your machine has it. Mine does but i NEVER use it so if you're like me then the key lock probably isn't the problem, but it can't hurt to turn the key back and forth a couple times just in case.
      If you still have no luck then I'd DISCONNECT all the plugs and wires, (to the point of initial assembly) and then reconnect them and see (but maybe you already tried that).
      Last thing could be the power supply cord or power supply itself. While the light on the power supply may turn on, I guess there's always the chance that the cord AFTER the green light is bad. On my first laser, the 10watt model, the included power supply took a dump pretty quickly. Creality sent me a new one and the problem was solved.
      I don't know if any of these suggestions will solve your problem but they're worth a shot🤷🏻‍♂️. I'm sorry you're having trouble with your machine and with tech support😕

    Can i ask, is the working space really 400x415mm or is it smaller because of the metal arms for the axis? And how is the smell even with the casing?

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      i'd say the working area measurement is accurate. the ACTUAL surface area is bigger, but that's the unused space because of the arms/axis.
      The smell shouldn't be an issue if you have it ducted properly. I have a somewhat sloppy connection where i've ported mine out the window...and on heavy burns I do notice a little bit of smoke leaking🤦🏻‍♂️ but that's no fault of the laser, just my poor design of the connection haha. I have a pvc elbow attached to the exhaust hose and just the way it's positioned is not ideal, i just haven't had the time to fuss with it more yet.

    Love this video!
    But question. Where did you get your exhause hose?
    I've been scouring Creality's site and the webs for a good exhaust hose, like you have in this video, and the only place I can find one is as a package with the fume extractor. I'd rather not spend another $400-$500 when all i want is the hose.
    Thanks!

    I am wondering how can Creality make any income from their Falcon2 Pro considering they send their machine to so many TH-camrs for reviews! Crazy... What a business model...

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      how much do you think it costs Chyna to make these little laser engravers? I'm guessing not much. I do know that at least a couple, if not more, people have purchased one of their lasers as a result of watching my videos and I'm just a small channel. Larger channels probably bring more business for them. Also, their main thing has been 3D printers and I think they want their laser engravers to become as popular as those. You gotta spend money to make money.

    I have a Falcon 2 40 watt, NOT the Pro version. Can you engrave coins?

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      i don't think so. I don't think you can even have much success with acrylic 🤦🏻‍♂️. Just for kicks I tried putting a brass coin in mine and ran some tests but it looked like i didn't even do anything haha! I think you'd need a fiber laser (?) to do coins. If you look up the channel "Two Moose Design" of something like that, you can scroll through their videos and I think he does some coins or medallions or something with a fiber laser👍🏻

    In another review I saw that this is slow?

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  หลายเดือนก่อน

      it all depends on what somebody considers to be "slow". it all depends on what your project is. It all depends on what you're trying to achieve. And it all depends on the settings you use. Doing a set of test cards for the different materials is extremely helpful. I've been very happy with the speed of this machine. My previous laser was the 10watt version and it was definitely slower than this 40watt, but still fun!

    • @carlhoward5469
      @carlhoward5469 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Did you try it at the speeds they are advertising? Other reviewers show it was not achieving the commanded speeds or even close. Unless you actually *measured* the travel speed (which is pretty easy to do), your comment is made in ignorance.
