One tip for getting repeatable cuts, lets say to do multiple colors/passes on the same piece of material, is to make a jig. I just thew in a thin piece of wood, tucked it in the bottom left, and had the laser cut right along the axis. After I cut a color layer on whatever project, I can take it out, paint it, powdercoat, sand, whatever, then throw it right back in with the jig and hit it with the next color layer.
Very creative man. Love the results! I've been playing with multi color engraving with my janky Falcon 2 Pro unit. It's an interesting process/skill to learn.
When the Wood Whirler got his, he made a cabinet under it that allowed him to lower the working bed down so he could put tall objects inside it. I realize that takes out the cutting tray, it would be something to think about maybe that way you could monogram the bottom of your big bowls and stuff.
