Fixing the Poulan Pro Mower From Hell

I got this Poulan Pro for free last fall, and the previous owner said that it ran but had black smoke. There's no deck with it, but let's dig in and see if we can figure out what's wrong with this riding lawn mower and if we can repair it.

I got the same issue going on with mines so did you end up putting on a new starter or the jumping wire mad it start?
