When I went to Vietnam, I was told that some restaurants refused to serve Chinese tourists because of their cunning tricks. They would order the food, sit there and chow most of it, then complain that it’s not the dish they ordered, the dish wasn’t cooked the right way, the ingredients were bad, ect. and refuse to pay. This trick happened more and more often that the Vietnamese restaurant owners take cautions of the Chinese tourists. The Chinese netizens spin this around saying the Vietnamese single Chinese out due to political reasons, but the Vietnamese just want to protect their money and mental health from the Chinese nuisance. I read that Chinese tourists did the same tricks in Japan before.

10 years ago I was at a buffet in Rome. They were about to be fully booked, maybe 3 tables left in the restaurant.
In comes 5-6 chinese tourist and they were seated. One guy went outside and came back in with another 10-12 chinese tourists. They were literally climbing on top of eachother to raid the buffet yelling and screaming. Dropped half their food while still grabbing whatever they could. I watched a "lady" walk out the restaurant with 5 fully loaded plates and return empty handed only to start all over again.
The owner tried to calm them down but that just made them escalate things even more untill they were finally thrown out. They then started to yell and scream out on the street with pizzaslices sticking out their pockets.
It was an absolute hilarious nightmare to witness. Felt so sorry for the owner and the poor waiters.
They left, leaving the restaurant looking like Gaza.
Theyre like that everywhere and usually gets away with it. In Thailand they dont though. Thais take no shit

Have some respect, I think that you are no better than the unfortunate tourists who you are berating. Why do you expect people from a foreign country to understand and follow your petty expectations? The Chinese people have suffered many indignities from their government over the last century and my only surprise is that they have survived as intact as they have. I do not know about most but evry single guest I ever had from china was a filthy person. 5*Mariott in zurich and they were stealing cutlery, took whole trays from self serving, eat like pigs and they have no idea of manners. I have a feeling however that if I was to visit the poorest parts of china I would find the opposit of that. To be honest I could say the same of the rich around the world.

I used to volunteer at a museum specifically for kids called strong museum and science center. One time we had the African safari. We had zookeepers come in to talk to the kids about different animals. On this day, we had a tour group of people from China. This group have the audacity to try and grab the animal from the zookeepers hand. They were told multiple times just to pet, but they did not listen. One of them successfully grabbed the snake out of the handler’s hands. And they proceeded to pass the snake around their group. The whole time, the zookeeper and the staff at the museum are trying to get the snake back. They were literally playing keep away from the staff. The tour guy eventually got a hold of the snake and profusely apologized. They were asked to leave immediately. But they refused. The police were eventually called but they made a huge scene as they were all being physically escorted out of the building. I’m talking full on temper tantrums. They were kicking and screming and throwing themselves on the ground. It took at least 15 police officers to get this entire group out of the building. They were all permanently banned. And the tour guide company was banned as well for not properly doing their jobs.

    • @robertmoore1215
      @robertmoore1215 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

Holding the touring companies legally accountable seems the most reasonable way to go about things. Touring companies relaying their grievances to a consulate might also go a long way towards keeping disrespectful people grounded with passport suspensions so as to not embarrass China abroad. I would not be against an American law having unruly people losing their deposits, reservations and vacation time with immediate revocation of travel visas. If the consulate won't step up, an INS detention center until the rest of the group is leaving works for me. "Freedom" doesn't mean the right to abuse anyone, especially not animals (kicking Japanese deer- good lord). It would empower touring companies to take meaningful interventions on the spot. I also wouldn't mind any other country passing similar laws if Americans were out of control with themselves. There's just no excuse to abuse host countries.

It's not much different from what happened here in Brazil, more precisely in Rio de Janeiro. A Chinese store owner accused and attacked a woman, accusing her of stealing items from the store and breaking the belongings of the woman who was accused, and using racist terms to refer to the woman who was attacked. Since racism is considered a crime in Brazil, she was immediately taken to the police station to answer for the crime, but she paid bail and was soon released, but in order to do so she put the store up for sale and fled the country, exactly at the time she was to be tried for the crime of racism.

Usually charging groups like that the "pain in the ass tax" aka PITA deters them from staying, or at least, makes them fearful of losing their deposits for rentals should they act like animals. American laws preserve the right to refuse service, not based on ethnicity, but negative behaviors disruptive to commerce. When their behaviors are exasperated by their numbers, I would expect legislators would start holding the tour companies liable for the damages. If the police have to be called everywhere they go, what would you do?

few years ago we ran an operation with 22 airbnb apartments. one friend in the area told us to block bookings from china/hong kong IPs because the cleaning takes twice as long (the cleaner is paid by the hour) and damage they generate with stains makes it simply inprofitable. we thought she is racist. before we started to see our apartments after chinese checkouts.
what you see on the pictures is stanrdard, sadly. at least the eating remains are on one table. we had much worse. eating remains and spoils EVERYWHERE, beds, sofas, floor. bedsheets and curtains used as napkips and tissues.
if the price goes up with each person, they will also never tell you the actual number of guests. 5 will come for a double booking and use anything to improvised bedwear, they go to your things, take blankets, terrace pillows, anything. and leave the place like a hurricane went through it.
there is nothing racist about it, it is simply time for chinese to understand that money and respect are not interchangeable. you need to have both. but at the very least you need to have the later.

When I first arrived in Australia, well, the second time actually, I mean when I arrived a a migrant in the late 90s, I bought a lovely two storey town house in a lovely location. There were about 8 other units in the complex. There was an Aussie guy who lived in one unit, another guy was from the UK like my wife and I, about three were vacant. We noticed that the three occupied properties were owned by Chinese people. They couldn't speak English or communicate well at all. They didn't even smile at us and wave as we would smiled back at them. Gradually the other units were sold and more Chinese people moved in. Anyway, moving forward two years, that place was an absolute dump. They had cars parked everywhere even though there was no room for more than than one car parking per unit - and one per unit was strata regulations. They just didn't care. They would come back late at night, or through the night and talk at full volume. The build up or trash was unbelievable. We ended up keeping the place as a rental for a couple more years and selling it - to Chinese buyers - just to get rid of the place. I've seen the area since and it's run down, neglected and filthy. I would never move near Chinese people again. Singaporians of Chinese decent, I've found are completely different. Look at Singapore after all!

Same behaviour from the huge Chinese population in the Toronto area. Most disgusting are the older generation: They squat on top of toilet seats, leaving footprints, rarely flush, throw used toilet paper on the floor. Malls and their surroundings are littered with their garbage from fast food. Total pigs. They also shove and

I travel to Japan frequently since I used to live there and have many friends I want to visit, but it's becoming very difficult these days. I was in Japan only two months ago and I found myself yelling at Chinese tourists almost daily for doing the wrong thing, from pushing deer in Nara to walking in the middle of the road in Fujiyoshida. It's exhausting, and I feel so sorry for the local Japanese residents who have to live with this daily. More and more now I am travelling to very remote Inaka to avoid horrible tourists.

It is saddening to see this because understandably the world sees all chinese people as "mainland chinese" much like how its difficult for asians to discern between europeans such as germans, russians, scottish, irish etc etc.
I am chinese but not from china, and the mainland chinese friends that I have are courteous and kind. I also have seen nasty ones.
However, it's because of this reason why I refrain from travelling overseas even though I could due to fear of prejudice, which is understandable because I myself hate the toxic mainland chinese culture and behaviours.
Seeing this whole debacle gives me second hand embarassment, its kinda cringe to watch.

I was on the cruise ship that was repositioning from the USA to China. There were many Chinese multigenerational families on the ship. That cruise was expensive, so those people were well off. In the buffet, they would pile up a plate with so much food that food would be hanging on the side of the plate and falling on the floor. Then, they would put desserts on the top of that food. Cakes over spaghetti. They could go ten times and get all that unlimited food, but they preferred all food at once on the same plate. There were large decanters with honey by the tea station. This Chinese woman came with her own container and poured out all honey into her container and left. This Chinese grandmother came to the ladies' room with her grandchild, and instead of taking him into the toilets space, she lifted the child over the sink where people were washing their hands and make him to pee into the sink. They also don't stay in line and come on the front of the line and take what they want. I was very happy that I wasn't going all away to the end of this cruise.

One time I was on vacation with my family in Barcelona and we went to an all you can eat restaurant. There was a group of three Chinese people who sat beside us, I think they were between early to mid twenties, who ate a lot, I mean they were occupying a table for 6 and filled it with lots of plates with abundant food. It was understandable since it was an all you can eat indeed but the frustrating part is that they did not pay! Supposedly the waiter will give you a ‘bill’ if they see that you are done eating or if you simply ask them and you need to pay it at the cashier. However those jerks suddenly took their jackets and hurriedly ran out the restaurant. The horrified look of that waitress who was ‘overseeing’ that area when she discovered that table was now empty. She was already eyeing them before since they have stopped eating and were only chatting among them. She went somewhere for a minute and in that instant they took advantage to get out leaving a lot of mess both on the table and on the floor!
We were stunned when we saw that scene as it was never happened to us before and we would have not expected it from those three as they seemed to be dressed decently, quite trendy if I may add it.

Four Chinese girls with long hair, who rented my whole apartment, left it in a similar way. I was still finding their hair six months later. My next Chinese guests were an elderly couple who rented a bedroom. They didn't check in until midnight, then they turned my bathroom into a Chinese laundry, flooded the floor with water when the lady took a bath, locking her husband out, causing him to shout at her at 2am. When I opened the door and told them to be quiet, the old man was naked from the waist down while banging on the door. When I told their relatives to pick them up because they were being too noisy, they made me wait until 10 next day. After I returned from work, I rang them to ask where they had put a big red mohair blanket I had left them to use, the daughter apologised about her grandparent's behaviour giving the excuse, "They thought it that's how Europeans behaved, so they behaved the same way!"

We’re Overseas Chinese, and my dad’s friend learned the hard way after renting his fancy villa to mainland folks from rural areas. I’d always heard they’re a different 'beast' from videos like this, but it never crossed my mind that someone so close to us would get into this kind of issue, or it was really just exaggerated
The whole house was a disaster the day they left! Liquor bottles were scattered everywhere, the kitchen was broken beyond imagination, and even the bathtub knob and toilet were busted (the kind of unthinkable mess you can’t make up).
I laughed when my dad told me the story and said, 'I’m familiar with this kind of behavior. Your pal had too much faith in mainlanders-especially the ones from rural areas who act as middlemen for their bosses in China. They might look the same ethnicity-wise, but they’re not the same in mind or values as our ancestors who left China before all the chaos of the WWII era. I went site seeing and camping in Hokkaido Japan in the summer of 2023. It absolutely blew me away how rude the Chinese tourists were. Smoking in public areas, being extremely loud, cutting lines and just being disrespectful in general. I was in complete shock.

They're like that world wide. Last week a friend and I were at a local tourist park, admiring the gardens. A group of Chinese tourists coming towards us, didn't leave enough room for us to walk past. I had taken another step to the side and my friend moved in behind me. Although they now had enough room to pass us, one Chinese women purposely elbowed me, to push me further out of the way. My verbal response left her with no doubt about what I thought of her actions.

Going to Asia this summer. I initially thought about Japan, South Korea, and China. But then again I hate China's politics, and now the manners of Chinese citizens. I don't wanna get into an argument with these people without manners. I just said skip it. I will explore Taiwan instead.

Good choice, unless you want to be robbed, poisoned and then blamed for allowing it to happen or arrested for trying to stop it. Literally everything is fake there down to the trees in cities. They collect oil from gutters to resell to restaurants, even buying alcohol is a gamble now that they've learned how to make fake beer using soap and rubbing alcohol. Money is their god to them, religion is frown upon, and what are other humans when compared to god? They will literally do anything for profit, nothing is off the table and everything is possible

Yes. I don't leave towels on the floor (unless it's said we should do so)
Also I normally "help" a bit and take the pillows and duvets from pillow top and duvet covers.
And put them nicely on the bed.
(If I am in hurry then I might not do that though. But otherwise yes)

They do it all the time at all ages over there. There's plenty enough video evidence that, if not for India, the (mainland) Chinese would be the people globally refered to as "steeet shitters".
One of the wildest videos I've ever seen (probably THE wildest) involves a granny stopping in the middle of a crosswalk on a T-intersecrion, so the tiny kid can take a shit in the middle of the crossing. A cement truck, or some other massive Mack truck type, comes FLYING around the corner. The truck slams his brakes and miraculously stops in front of them, only to fall on its side and flatten them.

Where Im from when we see someone looking remotely Han we quickly differentiate if they are Hong Kongers and/or Taiwanese. Theyre really welcomed and can be trusted to be left alone.
