Did she just quote Gumby “ oh no Mr Bill”. I love it Thank you for teaching her correctly, she’s going to love you for that! I just imagine there are a lot of newbies watching also
Love your nails, Becca! You’ve got this Momma Nancy! I’m teaching my 11 Granddaughter how to sew, she sewed a perfect 1/4 inch, straight seam first time out, I wanted to cry, because I still can’t do it!
Good on you mama Nancy your never to old to learn . I’m 68 years old and I’ve been quilting for 4 years. I self taught myself just by watching you tube tutorials your a good teacher Becca 👍👏🥰🌷🇦🇺
I enjoyed your live with your Mom Nancy. You have lots of patience and you are teaching her the correct way. I wish someone had taken the time with me long ago when I was learning. Love that you marked the quarter inch mark on her fabric so your Mom could sew straight. I’m going to do that with my granddaughters next time we sew together. Easy solution for beginners to learn to sew straight. I think you have a future in this business……You are ver special and joyful.7
I am watching on replay and I have been sewing for a long time. Made many quilts and I also do not sew straight. So you are doing a good job getting your mom on the right track. I am self taught and sometimes it is hard to correct bad habits so correcting them upfront is the way to go. Good luck to Mama Nancy on her quilt.
Becca watching after the fact. You are so patient with your mother. I can tell you I wouldn’t have been so patient. But it was a great experience for everyone as we watched. Good job
Becca, you are a wonderful teacher! It’s great that your mom wants to learn. I currently have my second pieced quilt (from 2017) on my long arm. It has a white background with lots of bright colors in the blocks. I cleaned all the dark threads before I loaded it. I am so glad you mentioned pressing the seams to the darker color and not the white when possible. I did not do that on this quilt, but it has lots of seams so I pressed some to the white to reduce bulk. Unfortunately, I have dark purple fabric frays showing through the white.
Hi ladies. Becca it’s great you are helping your mom. About 10 yrs ago I help my mom how to sew pillow case with French seams. And pin for her sew seams on apron. She said many ways how to do things. She asked me how I learned. I said by watching Then later watched tutorials.
Sorry I missed your life tonight. Hope you had a great evening. I will watch it later. Had my grandson this evening so I was hanging out with him. God bless and see you soon

Everyone lessens differently!!! I want to teach more, but I want to do it in a format where we can both speak and see each other. ❤️❤️❤️

What machine was your mom sewing on??
I want to follow along
I'm watching replay I kind of fell asleep while waiting, oops
Hahaha! I do that sometimes too!!
Hey Becca, is Juki or Bernina a better machine?
I’ve heard lovely things about both! Mary has one of each! Personally, I prefer my Juki TL 2010 since all I do is a straight stitch!!
Can she move her left finger to the side so she can see the line?
Is the fabric Christmas eve
The fabric I’m using is sugar pie by Lella boutique!
