Speaking of retirement, Shigeru Miyamoto still works at Nintendo at the age of 71. He joined when he was 24 in 1977 and has worked there for 47 years.
Technically he doesn’t make games anymore, just producing.

YoshiP has said he’ll be directing XIV for at least 20 more years. By then he probably will have produced 2 more mainline games too and I doubt he will dtop there unless he starts getting health complications from drinking too many energy drinks and not sleeping.
Here’s a thought: if they’re still cooking Kingdom Hearts IV and want us to be sated until it’s ready, how about they ACTUALLY release the Kingdom Hearts collections on Switch?

@@Powerman77775no it can. Someone made a prototype for it with the switch capacities. It can run it, sadly there are areas in which the frames can get astronomically low (mainly places in which there are a lot more assets with physics interactions). Best they could do is reduce it the cap of maximum frames.
In order for KH3 to run well on the switch. It will need an optimized version for the console like how Doom Eternal for the switch did (which runs pretty amazing) and Nier Automata
@@Powerman77775 but that's a whole operation specifically for this and I'm pretty sure that's not what fans want right now (nor would sales be the same as the initial version on the ps4). BUT it is possible

Kingdom Hearts won't be at the state of play. The most likely spot would be at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) in December.

Hearing people say they are happy for the “bread crumbs” sounds so sad out of context, even then it’s like wow.. being a KH fan is pain. Good thing all the big fans are people who actually have patience’s… I think. Even tho I’m not too big on KH I am interested to see where this next game goes and them improving stuff from previous mistakes and so on. I feel like at most there will be something shown later this year if lucky. Especially if it is gonna come around 2026, but then again it’s Square so ya know it’s tradition to delay. Anywho great in a nutshell vid as always ❤
There might be a trailer at TGS this December. KH has historically been there a lot, mainly in the days of KH3 hype. If not that, the 2025 game awards.

Square needs a comeback win, so... Why not? They already released a mature rated game (FF 16), so an all-out, no restraints FF XIII Versus 13 *could* be the way to go
@@Ingisenyou see the problem with that is realistically you’d want people to be able to play 13 and 15 on the same console as versus 13 to know the characters. The best bet is releasing 13 trilogy on ps4 but porting ps3 stuff is notoriously difficult.

@@ultimaterecoil1136 nah not really. Sure the Fabula Nova Crystallis in itself has the 13 trilogy and as much as I liked it and was hyped up to what 15 would become, I didn’t end up finishing 15. I think barely anyone played agito (type 0) and overall as a standalone title as long as it still has the basic ff terminology alongside 13 hints there and there, it wouldn’t be impossible.
I remember when KH4 trailer dropped over 2 years ago. Sometimes i wonder if it was a good idea for them to shoot their shot too early back then. Making us wait this damn long.
That and.. hearing that Nomura's in his 50s now is making me sad. Bro is getting old, no doubt he will retire soon and KH will end for good. I expected fully that the series ended with 3 but im amazed he still has it in him to make a 4. The 5 thing may just be a joke, but i dont mind if its not a second trilogy. Maybe by this point, the next arc wouldnt be as long as before, as long as the games itself are pretty beefy in content

Or it's mostly just a tour of Disney world with some anime sprinkled in for the older audience. That somehow has really good gameplay despite it all.

Being heavily monetized as much as possible by Di$ney while Nomura has to play tug of war with the woke Disney craps while trying to come up with a good story to even set the stage for the game. Tough to cook when there are money crazed Disney executives breathing down his neck. Frozen/big hero 6/tangled world already showed this issue. Can we just erase these filth with the snap of a finger? Probably not, so it will just be a struggle until kh4 releases because of these particular individuals. Maybe square can fight back enough to give space to Nomura in the end, hopefully for the true vs XIII

Fans of something will “wait” for eternity. A year, 7, 13, 20. Even in death; then when the product is “good” they’ll boast about it
And should the original creator be gone, the dreams of “what could have been” will live forever
So Nomura retiring at that point will secure all his work forever, and whomever decides to pick it up will take all the bullets of it’s botched in any way that modern day botches things
I rewatched the ML trailer and was reminded it's "supposed" to come out this year
At this rate I expect those probably dead remake mods to finish before KH4 does. Though I must admit, it is sad to imagine the series' end being within sight.

After FF15 and KH3 the wait for every other Square game seems pretty tame in comparison. Games being released 3-4 years after their announcement is infinitely preferable to 6-9 year wait times. They've become ever so slightly better with the announcement to actual release date time gaps.
Went from a spaghetti anime of odd perfection to a trollfest of will they or won't they and then a what the hell might as well IDC it's money for us.
That's one of the reasons I hate KH3 so much for not providing any real conclusion before the new narrative ark. Because the series either will never end or will never be properly finished.

i'm passing the time by writing/ drafting my own KH story with my own OCs and an original qworld/ setting disconnected from the main canon,

Quick correction, it's just the Global version of Brave Exvius that's hitting EoS (apparently due to issues with the company running it), the JP version is going on fine, apparently.
Kingdom hearts 4 will release sometime around December 2025-February 2026.
Kh2 came out in December 2005 and kh3 came out in January 2019, roughly a 13 year gap. Naturally, therefore, the gap between kh3 and kh4 should be 7 years.

KH1 got the lion's share of the classics, KH2 got most of the rest, Some of the remaining classics were used in BBS and DDD and so KH3 had only Toy Story left while the rest were newer lesser movies.

I mean they still have plenty of old 2d animated films. Treasure Planet and Atlantia the Lost Empire have become extremely popular over the years and haven't been covered yet.
Plus if they are desperate they could always tap into the TV shows. Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and especially Owl House could make great worlds.
It's not that Square Enix isn't making anything right now. They did come out with Visions of Mana. I'm playing it right now and I think it's a pretty fun game, even though it took 18 years to come out.
