    Thank you. This helped a lot. Yesterday I replaced a ceiling fan and it even works properly. And I used the wire connectors you previewed. Brilliant!

    Wow!!! I’m so glad I watched this. I’ve I installed many a ceiling fan, mostly for family and friends and I’ve never seen those awesome “wire” nuts!!! How friggin cool are those! I need those in my arsenal. They look extremely handy and better than reg wire nuts. Thanks my man 👍🏻

    PRO TIP:::
    When possible put together the blades, light onto the ceiling fan on the floor first, instead of climbing up and down each time, it could be dangerous that high. Do as much as possible on the floor.

      I appreciate your comment. I think it's easier for me to carry multiple light items up the ladder than one large unwieldy assembly.

    Great video. But, always a but, should you had twist the rod until it snaps onto the the proper cavity of the ceiling bracket.

    My question is how do you bring that 14 ft ladder home 😅?

    • @JustEnjoyingLife73
      @JustEnjoyingLife73  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! I have one of those rooftop cargo carriers, so I just mounted the two crossbars on the roof rack of my Odyssey, and I just put the ladder on top of the bars.

    I'm using the supplied downrod but the threads don't go all the way down. Also I don't have a hole for the set screw is this safe?

    • @JustEnjoyingLife73
      @JustEnjoyingLife73  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it a different brand? I would think that as long as you have several threads of engagement and as long as the downrod isn't stuck, you should be fine. Does it not have a set screw at all or just not a hole on the threads of the rod? Does the manual say anything about the set screw?

    Hi Thanks for the video, It helped with the down-rod install that I needed to do. The only question I have is you capped the blue wire on the ceiling but used the remote control? where did you install the receiver for the remote?

    • @JustEnjoyingLife73
      @JustEnjoyingLife73  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad to hear it was helpful! The remote receiver is part of the fan, so I didn't need to install anything additional.

    • @johnnytranna
      @johnnytranna 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, thank you. I see you posted this a year ago, so they must have made a chamge. The remote is now separated and needs to be installed on the ceiling at the wiring junction.

      Hi
      You can tug the receiver in the ceiling bracket with the blue wire connected if use a dual light/fan switch.

  • @asvpab
    @asvpab ปีที่แล้ว

    Where did you hide the controller receiver inside of the fan?

    • @JustEnjoyingLife73
      @JustEnjoyingLife73  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't have to hide it. It's part of the fan, so it's inside.

    I am trying to install hunter ceiling fan with downrod and I do not have the downrod accessories (hanging rod brockets). When can I I purchase the rownrod accessories (brackets)?

    What size step ladder did you need to reach your ceiling? The tallest ladder I have is 12', and I'm unable to reach the upper downrod (6') attachment. So, I'm hoping I can just remove my dead Hunter fan from the lower end of the downrod, and install my replacement Hunter fan without having to replace the upper bracket.

    • @JustEnjoyingLife73
      @JustEnjoyingLife73  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a 14 foot ladder for the 16 foot ceiling. Menards rents out ladders. Lowes probably does too.

      I was wondering if you were able to just attach the fan to the existing downrod?I have a 20 foot ceiling in my family room and can't reach the top.Having somewhere to put the excess wire seems like would be a problem.

    Can I install this hunter ceiling fan without a rod?

    • @JustEnjoyingLife73
      @JustEnjoyingLife73  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question. I'm not sure. I would try emailing the manufacturer or checking out the manual for the fan you want to install.

    • @FernandoRodriguez-ds5ri
      @FernandoRodriguez-ds5ri ปีที่แล้ว

      You need the rod to hang most ceiling fans. Some manufacturers sell flat ceiling fans without the need of a rod.

    Hi. Is this normal that the downrod is not fully screwed into the base, part of a threath is visible outside? Doesn't look safe.

    • @JustEnjoyingLife73
      @JustEnjoyingLife73  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's fully threaded. The set screw will also prevent it from coming undone.

    What size down rod are you using?

      Are you looking for the length? It's 3 feet long.

    The mounting bracket opening is supposed to face to the peak of the ceiling. Have you had any wobbling or any problems since you mounted yours sideways instead? I'm asking because I'm considering returning mine because I can't mount it properly.

    Nice video. Do you know if you can add an extended downrod to any hunter ceiling fan?

    • @JustEnjoyingLife73
      @JustEnjoyingLife73  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, sorry about the delay. You should be able to. You would just need to extend the wires.

    The fan wobbles if the downrod is not plumbed

      If the fan wobbles, the blades need to be balanced.

    Hola he comprado otro Hunter Exeter Costco parecido y me viene con dos tornillos chicos de diferentes tamaños y una arandela, pero en las instrucciones no me indica para que son, el ventilador esta completamente montado y funciona perfectamente, pero tengo la duda a alguien le ha pasado lo mismo?

      We have remote controlled Hunter fans in our house that we purchased over 33 years ago, and they are still in service, so Hunter has served us well.
