They were the most stable Top 5 team at the time and made consistent showings. Like I said, every player on NAVI right now has never been worse individually since joining NAVI (apart from iM who is about the same). Under current circumstances, I see no way simple can return to CS2. Most CIS teams contain russian players which simple will have to avoid due to current world situation, the other international teams don't necessarily need an awper right now, NAVI has just won the major and the team chemistry is so good that they don't really want simple to return to potentially ruin the team chemistry, and simple's ego is too big for him to stomache the prospect of joining a tier-2 squad. There is only 1 scenario I can see simple returning to CS2. With Cadian probably out of the team liquid in the offseason, if somehow liquid decides to spend 1.5 million to convince broky to play with his countryman yekindar and his former teammate/good friend twistzz, and broky somehow decides to agree on this massive contract. Then in this case, there would be a spot on faze that opens up to simple and would be almost the best scenario for him to return back to CS2. Simple spoke very highly before about faze players (specifically ropz and rain), and karrigan would be the best igl to bring simple back to his previous glory.

With simple, you don't know what kind of simple you will be getting, will it be the "goat" simple or will it be the "washed" simple and you don't know if simple will cause big damage to the team chemistry (liquid let simple go in the first place due to bad team chemistry). And I can guarantee you that simple won't be costing less than broky. All in all, if liquid were to pick an awper out of broky and simple, I see them more likely to go with broky instead of simple, especially with yekindar and twistzz probably having the most say on team liquid.

I don't know if I'm delusional but I am still optimistic about Yekindar becoming good again. Maybe all he needs is a system and teammates that believe in him and a confidence boost.
