1:59:59 this part of richard lewis's talk bothers me. When I watch the game I think it's natural to place players who think similarly to you in higher regard. I used to love the way syrson awped. He made a lot of the same decisions as I would in scenarios and because of that I happily overrated him as an awper even if he isn't all that good. I think if stewie were to play with someone awping like shiro he wouldn't say anything like that because shiro's a more passive awper even if he is absolutely amazing and has been one of the top 5 awpers in the world for several years now. m0nesy and stewie do actually approach the game in a similar way if you just literally watch the way they play the game. Ignore the smoke criminal bs, look at how both players react to being down a player. If you watch hunter and nexa, they're your more static players who sort of turtle up and wait for the hit to come, while m0nesy and stewie get more uneasy and start moving a bit, trying to find a gap in the T setup to relieve the pressure.
iirc a couple of years ago someone asked G2 for a photo and when the pic was being taken the fan raised an old version of the russian flag (it wasn't seen by the players and could've been easily mistaken for a flag of another country) and so later some low level ukraine esports media tried to use that pic to paint monesy as a supporter of the ukraine invasion and russian regime.
A couple of years ago, when the ukraine russia conflict started, someone at an event come up to G2 at a fan meetup and held up a russian flag as the picture was taken It's crazy to think that was a controversy

XTQZZZ and apEX survive in Vitality because they're French, that's it. If they were Swedish or something they'd have been done for long ago. I agree with Richard, I'm not sold on apEX as an IGL, never seemed cerebral, never seemed to out-read his opponents and always leaned on coaches to get the tactical side done. Whenever Vitality win, it's because their defaults are good and their players hit their shots, or Zywoo goes nuclear and carries them or they get lucky. I've never seen apEX do what Chopper did in the final of Blast Spring where he just out-reads the opponent completely. I've seen apEX gamble stack at the beginning of rounds, but I've never seen him just pull a team apart as an IGL in mid rounds by pushing the right space for info multiple rounds and putting his teammates in position to just plant the bomb safely by fooling the enemy team to rotate, or to stack a site as a CT off his instinctual play. It's always seemed forced. As for XTQZZZ I've seen him as coach in G2, can't say much other than they underperformed and didn't qualify for a major, he also basically used Aleksi as a sacrificial lamb for him to stay at G2 as coach, which is hilarious considering Aleksi is a good IGL and definitely elevates players. Then you look at Vitality now and they have nothing to show really for him to remain as coach. I don't know much about him and his coaching ethos because unlike Blad3 he doesn't have really a distinctive style or system, in addition he barely does interviews and stuff and stuff in English is also hard to come by with his take about stuff. But he's basically riding the coattails of when his Vitality team with Shox and RpK were doing well despite them being old. My counter argument is although those guys were old, they were at a point where they're legends of the game in their twilight years, with so much experience winning between them that they just knew what to do or they bought into the team plan and helped assist Zywoo, or they min-maxxed their individual play through their wisdom. Sure, on the stat sheet they were negative rating or whatever, but they simply did everything so optimally good that it worked out and the team succeeded as a whole. Say what you want about Shox being bad at CS:GO towards the end of his time playing it, but he was still so experienced that he would almost always make the right move move and be a good secondary caller in a team that desperately sometimes needed an idea when things went south.
1:29:03 I cannot believe there was an almost hour long conversation about Stewie2k's unprofessionalism and huge ego and his shit-talking of Grim on stream was not mentioned. This was pre-EG too.
I wonder if we'll ever get the blackmail story outta richard. Him coming out on by the numbers all pissed off was clearly him getting ahead of something. Definitely not been the same since. Miss trashtalk rich.
The point about perfecto and Richard's reflection that he doesn't particularly care for anchors right now is all derived from how much more aggression is rewarded in CS2 mr12 over CSGO mr15. Even the top quality IGL's we're seeing from the old guard are some of the most famously aggressive players such as apEX, chopper and snax. I'm confident that in the era they were at their best we would've all picked their more cerebral peers if we had to gamble on who would one day be some of the best IGLs on the market. Gotta go fucking fast.
Is Maui alright? Does he know what stats is and how it functions? Like good stewie had one good tournament where their star players overperformed but like it’s one event Does he think that one event going to change whole counter strike meta which was tried and tested in all the previous tournaments Does he really thinks that one event is going to change stuffs?
vitality making it to high up in tournaments but failing to win has been a theme throughout the entire project it feels like and the only constants have been zywoo and apex
when maniac said spinx was a fraud on that first map against G2, he was right, zywoo was literally the best player on the server on that map doing all the clutchs, entry kills, and impossbile retakes, and spinx threw hard key rounds.. it would have been a quick 2-0 if the rest of vitality stepped up on inferno.... and maniac criticized zywoo after the 3dr map where he disappeared in nuke..
Lol I thought i was the only one thinking that. Sometimes these ''analysts'' talk a lot of bullshit 😆. This has been a thing since the beginning of Counter-Strike though, so i'm not suprised.
How does having a good first 2 maps make the fact he disappeared on nuke untrue? He was nowhere to be found and that was the game they NEEDED to win. Doesn't matter what happens previously if he's the best player in the world he will hard carry when he's needed most.
@@neil2451wtff completly missing the point, maui said maniac and zywoo fans criticize spinx while zywoo is playing bad, which not true,(example of that map in inferno where his teamates throwing stupide rounds) zywoo carry them in majority of the maps, not The other way around...
@@neil2451Who here is saying Zywoo is the best player, here. Did any of Maui,Thorin or Richard say it? According to them Zywoo might not be the third best player this year. All three are Zywoo haters and know little about cs. Spinx has 1.06 against top 10 this year, while shiro has 1.24. If idiot Thorin has done his research, he would have known.
But you keep believing him, good for you.
@adityapathania1098 Zywoo haters cause they don't slob his knob nonstop and actually expect him to put up results? Crazy how your definition of "hater" works.
Nice, christmas has come early!
Where can I find the show where you talk about films?
Last Free Nation Culture. Series is called Four Play. I 100% recommend the 90s action series from December-ish. Watch the movies first so you can laugh along.
@@CONM0S Thanks a lot. I'll take a look at it
Richard & Thorin thank you for the excellent and humorous insight on stewie2k's interview. I was beginning to think the counterstrike world had gone mad with all the idiotic positive feedback I was seeing. Thorin put it well. He's still mentally 16 years old. Unfortunate for him he hasn't learned from his mistakes. I can't help but root against him because of his disingenuous personality and complete and utter lack of professionalism.
