I don't know, I think PGL would be open to having all 3 on the desk, they seem a lot more willing to take these guys in than Blast and ESL who only want to play it safe. PGL knows that these 3 would make the best content
@@KindriEvans Thorin and Silviu had a mardy on twitter after Copenhagen and when Richard announced he would be working PGL's events next year Thorin said "Apparently everyone else wants the PGL cheque so I'll be their huckleberry, like I seemingly always have to be." so heavily doubt lol. There's a first time for everything though so maybe Richard can convince him to lay off it lmao.
@@distantlights3510 I understand your points, however if they're willing to sign Richard who is considered a brand risk for other TO's (and especially after everything RL and Thorin had said after Stockholm), I wouldn't put it past them to employ Thorin and a few others after a few conversations. Maybe not for the biggest events initially, but I think seeing him every now and again for some PGL events isn't out of the question
@@KindriEvans The point isn't that PGL won't hire Thorin, they of course would, it's that Thorin is seemingly going scorched earth in relation to them and Thorin ain't one to back down lmao.
RL isn't considered a "brand risk" what are you on? He's one of the most tenured and professional people in the whole of esports. He's fundamentally opposed to sports washing/will call out TO's on their bullshit, that's not being a "brand risk" that's just called having principles.

I think Richard took the past to personal. Even on the interview stewie was watching his wording to not put players down. Even when making comments about taz. You can see he was going to go down one road but turned back.
Analyst been talking about hunters performance. Stewie gave us some insight how hunter was doing and claimed to give him just positive reinforcement which may have helped and hunter performed.
Claimed they didn’t realize nexas performance but knew matches got turned around by crucial clutches.
Then Thorin talks about the stats something along the lines of “stats matter for everyone except stewie for some reason”
As if we didn’t see blameF get highly talked about being this high rated player when his stats came from farming ecos, exit kills and mainly trades. Stats matter but some kills make no difference.
I love everyone here, I watch their interviews/videos they put out.
But never have I seen two journalist be extremely biased because of their own emotions. Stewie isn’t 100% matured but where he was from two years ago, you can tell he tried carrying himself in a different matter. More mature. To have the sentiment of “he’s the same fucking guy from two years ago” and not hoping or thinking he has changed or matured a bit is insane.
TLDR:
If they can’t understand Stewart’s impact and difference from hooxi to understand the why people paint hooxi as replaceable and not to have as much game sense as stewie, I highly advise everyone to watch stewies Dallas matches vs hooxi in blast @london.

1:59:59 this part of richard lewis's talk bothers me. When I watch the game I think it's natural to place players who think similarly to you in higher regard. I used to love the way syrson awped. He made a lot of the same decisions as I would in scenarios and because of that I happily overrated him as an awper even if he isn't all that good. I think if stewie were to play with someone awping like shiro he wouldn't say anything like that because shiro's a more passive awper even if he is absolutely amazing and has been one of the top 5 awpers in the world for several years now. m0nesy and stewie do actually approach the game in a similar way if you just literally watch the way they play the game. Ignore the smoke criminal bs, look at how both players react to being down a player. If you watch hunter and nexa, they're your more static players who sort of turtle up and wait for the hit to come, while m0nesy and stewie get more uneasy and start moving a bit, trying to find a gap in the T setup to relieve the pressure.

Not every kick is a backstab tbf. The reason the stabbi situation was so dramatic was because they presented themselves like a family. Then there was the angle that they forced their way out of Heroic, so they essentially just spite kicked Cadian out of a team they weren't even planning to play for. Tough to say without knowing the behind the scenes details, but I doubt there was anything that extreme with Liquid.

Richard & Thorin thank you for the excellent and humorous insight on stewie2k's interview. I was beginning to think the counterstrike world had gone mad with all the idiotic positive feedback I was seeing. Thorin put it well. He's still mentally 16 years old. Unfortunate for him he hasn't learned from his mistakes. I can't help but root against him because of his disingenuous personality and complete and utter lack of professionalism.

Stewie2K becoming IGL is funny, considering he didn't watch any player, didn't knew donk, m0nesy, MOUZ, w0nderful. He didn't play, he didn't watch, and he admits it with proud.
Thorin has grown on me so much he is so fucking funny
This episode reminded me why By The Numbers was the best esports podcast ever. I can listen to Rich and Thorin for hours without losing interest
Some truth and I do think m0nesy is the successor of s1mple but as an individual, s1mple’s peak was still better:
1) s1mple had better dominance and better numbers in a team that was even worse than the one m0nesy is on right now with Na’Vi 2018-2019. And this in CS2, where people arguably have better stats than before in terms of highs (obviously as it’s harder to keep fragging out with more gun rounds, which is why everyone has lower rating in overtime or close games). And s1mple was in that dogshit team for way longer. Realistically m0nesy has only had a “bad” team for like 7 months. S1mple had that curse for years.
2) While m0nesy is also great on the rifle, s1mple was a better rifler. This guy could have literally been the best player in the world with a rifle in his prime. In fact, in 2019 when he switched to the rifle after main AWPing for almost 2 years, he immediately became the best rifler in the world (stats show this) for that stretch of time (5months). He outdid both NiKo and electronic as a rifler.
3) s1mple still has the greatest highlights, even with an AWP. You’ve never seen m0nesy hit a shot like the one s1mple hit on EliGe in Nuke. And I’m just using one example. They’ve both done crazy things, but s1mple still slightly beats him here.
Recency bias is a tiny bit strong in this and I’m not downplaying m0nesy but when you come at the GOAT you best not miss. Maybe with time he will reach that level completely or surpass it, but he is not there yet. He’s very close and is showing a good comparison, but you can’t say he’s more complete.
Only time will tell, but it is pretty obvious that S1mple was dragging teams that had no reason being in semis or finals by just fragging out of his mind and winning un-winnable rounds. M0nesy is the successor through just play style and mechanical skill and willingness to learn and grind the game endlessly but what S1mple has done can’t be replicated imo, that’s something that cannot be replicated for a very very long time.
It's pretty hard to objectively say s1mple is a better rifler than NiKo in 2019 because in 2019 NiKo was igling for faze and also in 2019 there was the krieg meta which made it hard to judge riflers (imo)
@@pranavgadgeyo NiKo wasn’t the same player he was back then. He was a lurk that called the game around himself, similar to BlameF. Yes the Krieg mega might imply something else, but even still, the fact he was objectively the best rifler IMMEDIATELY after switching from years of being an AWPer says a lot.
Also in 2016 he wasn’t even an AWPer and had comparable stats to NiKo, was the 4th best player in the world as a stand-in a lot of the time.
S1mple has shown the highest ceiling in the game.
