Not too bad of a truck. At least all the NAPCO equipment is there and you'll sell him most everything else he'll need. Great description video as always.!!!
Rick...would imagine that someday soon you folks are gonna need a computerized inventory....and its great to see your hard work and reputation bringing in business...internationally too!!...good to see you folks happy and prosperous in attitude and spirit..Rich
Would be interested to see the finished product so if you get any word, please pass it along. It's real nice to see these old trucks restored to original or not too tricked out. This one's real cool with a lot of potential.
Really appreciate people who want to take these beauties back to original but I hope whomever ends up with it doesnt need to drive on too many highways or interstates or whatever they have in Australia, because the original straight 6 is very underpowered for driving at todays traffic speeds. Its fine off road or on back roads but my Dad and I test drove an old Chevy one time with an old 6 that was in great condition and when we got to the two lane highway where speed limit was 55mph, so that means 70 to most people, we dang near got ran over lol. It was fine until we started hitting hills lol. We ended up not buying it because the guy was firm on his price which was way to high. Like most people selling classic GM vehicles the guy was acting like he was selling us the ark of the covenant, and this was 15 years ago !! We ended up buying and restoring an old Ford Rollback we got a great deal on. We turned a great profit on that truck. I miss my old man. He passed in 2016 and I haven't enjoyed looking at old cars and trucks since. What I wouldn't give to hear him say " Lets go to the garage " one more time.... 😢
Great vid. The yard (what we can see of it) looks really good now, coming along very nicely. I know.. lots of work.. But it does look good. Would be nice to see an update video of the yard and your work near the stream there. Hope your both well and its good to see the videos.
Seems he may also need the linkage for the foot operated starter button when he puts the 235 six back in it. It's manual and shoves the starter gear into the flywheel, butts the electrodes together. There is no Bendix nor any solenoid. Completely mechanical and reliable.
It IS taking a bit of getting used-to. I think once I figure out its strengths and limitations, it will enhance the videos to have two cameras going though. Thanks Fer Stopping by again Towrecker. -Rick
gotta admit that the audio on the Gopro is quiet, I think that's mainly due to protective casing on it, perhaps you can get around it by either getting an external Mike if it has a Jack you can plug it into or alternatively increase the volume on the Gopro clips in post editing
Hi , Rick ! Blessings from Puerto Rico . This Truck reminds me of the one you went to see , not so long ago . It was close to the place you live , same color 4×4 Napco correct ( original ) with a factory 6 cils in it . Can you still get in contact with the old man that owns it , if he still have it or repost the video , at least ?
@@ClassicTruckRescue Hello again , Rick . I apollogize for any inconvenience that my last comment may have cause you . Main interesa on that particular truck . I understand it has to be thru you . As you mentioned on that particular video . Would like to contact you by mail , I retired from USPS two years ago. I know Oregon is a little far away from Puerto Rico, but I have the means to get to Florida and have fisical access to any posible project truck in the US from there . My mailing address is PO Box 2881 Bayamon , PR 00960 . Thanks and God bless you and your whole family . Looking forward to send you a Mistery Priority Mail Box soon.

hey guys, would you happen to have any roof sections for a 64-66 chevy c 10? My cab is nice but the drivers front corner is rusted out. Please let me know ; )
Hello Rick Good walk round, trucks got a lot of history, kind of sad that it will all be lost when it goes back to origonal. What about the wheels? Are standard napco wheels strengthened in anyway ?. Anyway thanks for another enjoyable video and its good to see you and Jamie settling into your land now and how to use and live with it. Regards Andy
I actually don't use reproduction parts on my builds. 1955-1959 metal is much different than the 3-times recycled steel China sends back to us. I'd rather beat some bent-up 1950's American Steel into condition than hang something on one of my Trucks that was a Honda 20 years ago. Hope that makes sense. What did you think of the video by the way? This isn't a classified ads section. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Classic Truck Rescue I love 'em all. May forget to hit the like button sometimes but I've seen just about every Vid you have put up. Between you and Jeff Bradshaw, I've spent many a night losing sleep for watching Vids to get caught up. I hear you about the garbage metal that get sent back here from China. How many Steel Plants are still sitting empty? Can't say it's still cheaper to send it to China by the time you factor in shipping costs to and from, import taxes and storage, it cost more than shipping it to Pitt.
hi rick, not all Chinese steel is bad well according to my quality management engineering lecturer. apparently during the 1970's a company making special high quality steel for Mercedes car was quiet and were going to scrap the factories machinery but a Chinese fellow sent over 90 workers that spent most of a year measuring the machine, so they could build it exactly once as it was it reached china. the German car industry recovered and had to buy the steel form the Chinese company as the steel had special alloys in the mix
All I know is that I have repeatedly had customers tell me they have spent hundreds, sometimes thousands on reproduction parts only to give up on trying to make them fit or having them rust-out after only a few years. The metal is often very thin and does not hold up well. But then, I am biased, because I only sell original parts.
Rick how do you clean those vehicles? Bucket and water? How do you rinse them off?. A drive through the crick?.. You D Man, Jamie D Woman, TTFN, Guys and Gals, you too Annabella.
We DO have running hot and cold water and a pressure washer my Friend. Apparently you missed the video where we were nearly crying tears of joy when we were able to run hot water from the sink in January. We sure have learned to appreciate things a lot more. Thanks Fer Watchin' again. -Rick

Totally. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
The 1959 was available with a 283 V8 wasn't it?
Yes, it could be ordered with one, but the installation job on this one was a hack job.

Cool. We do need a School Bus for the collection. -Rick
The "Project" Wouldn't have come from a TH-camr by the name of UXWBill would it? He had one identical that he was getting rid of.
Hay Rick someone is reposting your videos I thought you should know
I know David. I've reported him about 5-times and TH-cam still hasn't done anything about it. Thanks For the head's up though. -Rick
You have to go to his channel and on each video of yours report him for fraud a time consuming task to say the least.
That's Awesome Rick, but the SOUND SUCKS!! Plz go back to the other Camera.. Just Saying!! PEACE OUT!!! ;)
Hang in there. It will get better. Growing takes time and work. -Rick
