MarkusKrassius Exactly. The songs were used to show the backround and characterization for each of the characters, something I think that many people fail to realize. It sort of makes up for the game killing off most of the characters within 20 minutes of meeting them unfortunately.

It's interesting that you can audibly hear both lyric tracks but towards the end, around 1:30, the in-game lyrics overpower the original. In-game: "The fires of greed will burn the weak, so we'll make freedom obsolete." Original: "The fires will burn in their defeat, the human heart is obsolete." I interpret the original lyrics as the people and the in-game as the gov't. The people truly believe they are united against a common enemy, and as such can disregard their humanity when in reality, the gov't (in-game lyrics) are the ones truly disregarding humanity by deeming their freedom "obsolete."

I think both of the lyrics are from the perspective of the Patriots, right? Would also make sense since the song is about how Raiden sees Armstrong. Also should be noted that Armstrong doesn't have a human heart, it being obsolete to him.
@@tritonewt3344 No, that music is the perspective of Armstrong and everything he hates, like how Patriots manipulate and keeped the people blinded. It has a bit of Solidus as well, because Armstrong admired him.

i like this. it gives a feel of like a crowd singing along with the singer. that's my opinion. also, it feels like the Maniac Agenda Mix (the in game mix) overpowers the original mix at the second verse. sounds awesome regardless though

The thing about this theme is that it does not really fit with Armstrong's goals. He wants to restore the power to the people though anarchy and Social Darwinism, not have the government control everyone.

Armstrong has yet to reveal his true plans by this point. As far as Raiden knows he just wants to grease the economy with the blood of America's enemies. Lines like "the righteous will succeed" hint at his real beliefs however.
This song is Armstrong mocking what he sees as the current political climate of America, where the corrupt politicians control wholly and endorse war, while also essentially brainwashing the populace to repeating the same mindless drivel

This was the EXCELSUS fight's theme, where Armstrong was masquerading as a NeoCon warmonger. Soon as he got out of the EXCELSUS and fought Raiden hand-to-hand, he revealed his true ideals as some hyper-populist Social Darwinist...which is where we got "It Has To Be This Way".
This sounds like the ultimate theme of the USA elections.

I know that this might seem dumb to some people but I can't find the term "Dual mix" on the internet and I want to know what it means.
It means that two versions of the same song are overlaid each other. Essentially playing the two songs at the same time.
It isn't an actual term, it is in fact two words.
Dual meaning two, for example dual vision is sight with two eyes.
Mix is referencing to the songs, the two versions of it.
Putting it together we see that dual mix references to how both similar songs are mixed into each other to create this one song.

And Amrstrong would be perfect if he elaborated on how he'd bring any semblance of order to the land. Would it be a monarchy where the strongest man in the land is the president? Would you also require him to have general strategic training? All of it needs answers for us to believe.
If we are lucky, then Platinum Games will make MGR 2 and maybe explore that idea that Armstrong had. Maybe not in America but in another country!
Its interesting how this, and "The way it has to be" Showcase Armstrong's ideals and reality, the reality is that he sees America as a huge flock of sheep, unable and unwilling to see the whole truth and make a valid judgement call, the ideal is a new free America, untainted by business agendas and external politicking
