There are some dietary supplements that may slow retina damage. Ask your doctor or ophthalmologist..
Consultation with the professionals and having a diet rich in beta carotene will be helpful to the eyes👌

Both are high in antioxidants, but not the healthiest choices for most people.
Is the bioavailability of these antioxidants the same from fruit and vegetable sources as it is from meat sources?
There are significant difference between plant and animal food antioxidants. Most studies emphasize plant foods and I have not read any comparing bioavailability to animal foods.
