after 40 there is no employment in IT. students need to choose law,CA,CFA ,Doctor ,Govt jobs for careers.

Many of my friends are working in Cognizant and this is true. The company deliberately rates people with '1' rating, put them on bench for few months and fires them. Shockingly, many of the people, who are forced out of Cognizant are highly performing & talented. The company is making sure that only inefficient people are put onto real time projects & billable position, screw the projects and keep earning revenue for the Company forever. This is what I hear from Cognizant and with most other Indian IT industry.

For the upcoming students, Majority of IT sector will be dead in coming years because of AI. So better to choose electrical, electronic, mechanical, civil courses. Cuvil isliye bol raha hoon kyun ki development ho raha hai desh mein toh construction apne speed par hoga, mechanical because ev manufacturers will take chances for EV.
Ofcourse IT jobs dead nahi honge but 20% tak toh aa hi jaayenge. Aap kya khud ko 29% mein rakh paaoge?

Very sad! But I am wondering, how come a person taken out from a billable position to a non billable position? Was there any fight with client or the manager? Or the client has any negative review?
To everyone one advice from my side. Maintain a good rapport with your client. If you smell any fishy and have a strong feeling that you could be the next target then just speak it up with customer non - officially over the call. If they say that they want you in the position then no manager can kick you out (unless you made a criminal offense). Many people got saved in this way. Best of luck for your future.

If you are in a billable role nothing would happen. If you are in a non billable role then get into a billable position immediately try in the same ac different project under different manager or change the ac. Change of manager can change your fate inside tcs.

Ees example wali aadmi ka sadisati ka 2&half saal ka lokhand ka kharab time chal raha hoga. Oosko ooski kundali dekhne chiyiee thi before telling about resignation. Aaise kharab planetary position may nuksan k chances jyada hai.

All service based companies are doing silent layoff by asking employees to resign after 2 month of bench period. There are very less client project everywhere. These are difficult times and i think it will continue for next 2-3 years. Only option is to work on latest technology which is in demand. Older technology projects are not there.

After 20 years in jobs, both IT and others, I have found that those who are successful are those who does career selection based on what they are good at. Those who are not, select based on factors like ..what will be people say, or that my friends have gone ahead of me... external pressuring factors.
I have been deliberately put into PIP despite good performance and my manager has been constantly taking meetings with me and the same statement please look outside stating I am unfit for this company. I am the only son of my mother, my father passed away in 2015 still they don't care and finally the time has come and this Friday 23rd August is my last working day in Osttra. Osttra is a joint venture of CME & S&P. All companies are the same and the managers working inside are not Managers but Corporate Politicians.
I don't know how things will be managed my mother thinks about that even though I am a little stressed but I have lost interest in working for any company now. I am trying very hard to establish my business and I know soon I will accomplish that.
God please help me in this difficult time, I am also your child.

try to get project ASAP when you come to the bench specially when you are on high package but in a service base company, everyone gets 3-4 months in the bench, even if you are in a high package because they always have new projects in the pipeline.

There is no 6 months bench period nowadays .most MNC’s have majorly 60 days bench period and max 120 days bench period and that too depends on ur tech stack.
