Esprit Marching Band - Grade 3
Here is a marvelously paced closing production on this familiar song from The Phantom of the Opera. Opening with a trumpet solo, Paul's arrangement builds impressively to a climax then tapers to a quiet ending with the distinctively dissonant “phantom” chords.

This is the song we played during homecoming night for half time for our homecoming game
I played the tenor sax part at our homecoming game while the homecoming court was being announced, we repeated it countless times
My marching band is doing this for our show this year
i just played the trumpet solo on my baritone and it sounds so cool
yes yES YES
music to my ears lol
Put the speed on 0.75 and it's almost perfect. Really nice either way though
We played this for our competition, a short version compiled with the phantom of the opera and all i ask of you, arranged by Michael Sweeney
maybe.... just a little bit... fast paced don't you think? it's supposed to be almost a lullaby slow and drifting
Am I band we put on a clarinet solo
How do these guys do this? I'm trying to pursue a passion of music arrangement but I can't seem to find good software. I'm just stuck with musescore and it doesn't have nearly as good sound as this one. Is there some type of notation software they use?
this is my only favourite piece from the musical
If only the mello part was the phantom vocals,, instead of trumpet
my daughter played this for freshman year
Kinda fast and doesnt quite fit for marching band, but as a concert piece I think it would be 10 times better. But hey, as a trumpet, I'm fine either way as long as I could play that solo
pumped up kicks pls :3 marching band :S
The music is lovely, but how can this work as a standout show?
No. Just no. As my old band director said, Phantom of the Opera is too slow for marching band and speeding it up won't sound right.
