Harry & Jazzie Q&A

- Jazzie, an 8 and a half year old PDA girl, whose mother runs and writes the blog, Another Spectrum Day, wrote down a load of questions she wished for me to answer during a video recording - which I wasn't to look at beforehand! After I answered her questions, I asked a few to her. We had fun, I hasten to add!

Loved it.😊
Was smiling all the way through.☺️
OMG same with 'Are you okay?' I could scream, I really bristle. And I feel it's a fake question?! Like, do you REALLY want to know?!
i love the neurodivergent community idea that’d be so amazing to live in
This was a gift this morning! Thank you for sharing this! 🥰
I too love the idea of the community, as I'm not on social media, and the groups planned or already existing via my local services collapsed due to the pandemic ...
Educational and entertaining. Thank you both!!❤️
First of all, thank you both so much for your vulnerability in sharing yourselves so that I can better understand my daughter. You have no idea how each video provides insight and compassion for understanding a glimpse into my daughter’s world.
I believe my daughter would love Jazzie’s squishy toy as she loves water. Can you share what Jazzie was playing with and maybe a link online for where I can get one of those? I’m also curious what it was like answering questions from each other. Did it feel like a demand or is there less of a demand coming from a fellow PDAer? (I understand if my questions feel like a demand. I’m still pretty new at this, please consider being patient with this NT brain of mine. I’m sometimes lost in translation. It feels like learning a new language.)
See you in Chicago Friday Harry!
There are links to 'Grape boobs' :) on our blog here: facebook.com/anotherspectrumday ... the video has raised a lot of interest including where to find them! We should have bought shares!
being a fellow adult pdaer these videos are really good and are really funny and to this day i am still have more shutdowns rather than meltdowns which is interesting also have a good day and yes when people say are you ok it always sets me off worse and ive found that i can break down crying because of it
my favourite weird food combo is apple pizza i get very weird looks when i make that also its not bad its just different fight me its sweet savoury and has a nice bite to it
My BFF
What is the name of the blob she’s playing with? I want one!
I understand that well. I would not want an operation, being surrounded by people who can do to you whatever they wish since you are knocked out. It feels like a defilement. My body, my sacred space. Nobody touches it. Period.
And what if they make a mistake, cut away something, you can't take that back. Or they forget an instrument inside your body. All of those possibilities. So I try to live a healthy life. Eating meat is what healed my body, tool my pain and inflammation away - so I am back in control, my body no longer producing random symptoms. Quality of life back online.
And fuck is one of my favourite words too. ha ha
I have had c sections. I choose to have sedation during the procedure as my heartrate was so high (due to loss of control!). Next sugery I ever have will be under a general and i will decide when they put the mask on etc.
My 8 yr old pda er would love to meet up with others the same age to game online etc. Anyone suggest a ’safe’ and appropriate way this is possible?
I have the exact same fear!!!!
lol
Asking "Are you OK" to not OK people,,,,,,,,,I wonder why people doing it.lol....
