I remember playing "Out There" in my car, windows down, speakers blasting, at a red light, and I was BELTING it out. When i fished the final long note, and the song stopped, I heard clapping, and when i looked over, I saw the people in the car next to me applauding me and videoing me! It left a smile on my face for the rest of the day, for sure!
As a recently trained operatic tenor, I can assure you this is a great list - THE TENOR RANGE =. C3 - C5.....what does that even mean? Tenor, the highest male voice - pop tenors use a different technique, HOWEVER, the classical tenor vocal technique allows the male voice to cover all those notes past the natural break (passagio) around the F4 mark .......being trained in classical technique doesn't mean you need to sing like in the operatic style but you have complete use of the tenor range! Finally, the male FALSETTO is one of the ways of accessing the full chest voice in the upper range! THANKS WATCH MOJO.... btw MARIIO LANZA was one of Pavarotti's IDOLS.... other notable classical tenors deserve their own list including: Lauri Volpi, Tito Schipa, Guiseppe di Stefano, Jussi Bjorling, Franco Corelli.... cheers!!
Cutting off Tom Hulce's amazing final two notes in "Out There" borders on a crime! But I'm glad it was included at all - such an underrated number and also performance!
I was watching this list thinking, “what about ‘Heaven On Their Minds’?” Glad it at least got an honorable mention. “Something’s Coming” is my other show tune go to. So fun to sing both of these. 😊
I have a tenor singing voice toooooo. I blame my musical diet growing up of Fleetwood Mac, Jefferson Airplane, musicals, Tracy Chapman, Joan Armatrading and The Carpenters among others
I would’ve preferred that you picked tenor songs from musical theater and opera. Bring him home from Les Misérables was not listed????? And you had several female singers that we were supposed to think of tenors covering their songs??? shouts out to my fair Lady and west side story, but there were too many genres included.
As a vocal music teacher, I am a bit disappointed that several of these songs are female contralto songs. There are soooo many great tenor songs they could have chosen from and you choose contralto songs? You only have 10 to choose and you skip so many great songs from musicals that are tenor and almost all pop or rock singers are tenors. Do better.
Are our picks too bass or too alto for YOUR tastes? Sound off - pun intended - in the comments!
I Really Enjoyed This List Nice Change of Pace Happy New Year MsMojo 😊
Can you do an alto list too
Perfect actually 😉
Too many contraltos. There are so many great tenor songs. You could have saved the contraltos for their own list.
"Somebody to Love" always gives me goosebumps, Freddie had such a powerful voice, and there will never be a performer quite like him. 😇🥰

One of your best tops yet! Happy tuesday afternoon, Rebecca. Take care and God bless you, and greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Thanks for watching and for your continued support, Samuel! Happy new year 🥰
Can you do a series on top 10 songs for different singers and their voices like this one?
Sure! Which should we do next?

Great picks!
Tenors are so awesome! My fiancé proposed to me by singing and he's a tenor. I'm looking forward to getting married this year. 🥰
That is awesome!
Cutting off Tom Hulce's amazing final two notes in "Out There" borders on a crime! But I'm glad it was included at all - such an underrated number and also performance!
Make one for every singing category

I really like ed sing thinking out loud it is amazing, he should be on dancing with the stars, he is amazing dancer.

I Looooove Out There
My time to shine 😭🥺🤣
Non mi stancherò mai di dire da italiana che avete una pronuncia perfetta dell'italiano.
One more, albeit, difficult; is Alive and confrontation from Jekyll and Hyde
Both are emotional ballads that are sooooooo good when you do them right.
I’m alto baritone tenor and these songs are really easy for me to sing
Awesomeness
Why did they put the same picture of Quasimodo twice in the thumbnail
Please do a list for female altos

What songs would you suggest? ❤
Let’s be honest we all collectively hate tenors… they are too privileged baritones need more love they are very special
Tenors?
Tenor is a term for a male singer that can sing in high pitches
The thumb nail for this video was shade and I refuse to see it any other way, lol.
Tenors? What's that?
As someone in choir, tenor is a term for a male singer that can sing in higher pitches
Isn’t Mariah Carey technically a tenor? So any of her songs would probably work here
No.
Mariah is soprano so no. Tenor is like a soprano for male singers.
Technically no, never in any universe whatsoever...
@@User1975- what about somebody like Whitney? I think she might be a tenner? Or how about Taylor Dayne?
