    I lost my manual but need to know if when running the heater do I still need to have the exhaust tube? Also I went from cool to heat for the first time and it blew a little water out onto the floor.

      Hello @NexusPhotografi, thank you for your question. When using the heat mode, you will need to connect the exhaust hose and use the insulator to cover it. To better understand and resolve the issue, please contact us at digitalsupport@midea.com. Have a great day!

      This youtube video will show you how to install it. th-cam.com/video/-1hYMriTNvo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L_b_c70ccowBAKQ1 Because the unit is self evaporating in cool mode, if you run it ONLY in COOL mode you shouldn't have to drain the unit at all. Scroll down towards the end of comments and you will see others who have had success with this.

    • @MideaAmerica
      @MideaAmerica  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, Gillian Derus. There is an air exhaust adapter that you insert into the hose's exhaust to prevent anything from going inside the unit itself. For the user manual, you can contact us via Facebook at m.me/mideaamerica. Have a nice day.

      The model I have is RACPT1412HVWRU, can you link me to the part number for this? I know what they are referring to and I have the same concern. The manual, MIDEA videos and everything else I've seen doesn't indicate that there's any sort of a screen or exhaust adapter that actually prevents things from crawling into the exhaust tube. I know what the general adapter is, the thing with the "duo" inlet/outlet but that has no screen on it.

    I just purchased the unit and I've been trying to find out the recommended time for letting it settle before turning it on. I've download and read Midea's manual for the unit I purchased and nowhere in it does it mention the time the unit should sit before turning on. Most online "experts" suggest 24 hours while most other manufacturers manuals recommend a minimum of 4 hours. I'm curious has this ever been test to determine the actual number of hours or is this a guess?
    The draining instructions are seriously flawed because it assumes everyone has a floor level drain such that in a shower stall, when most don't. The floor level drain will have to be elevated for the majority of users, unless they're okay with unhooking it, wheeling it to bathroom, and lifting it into a tub, draining it, and then wheeling it back to be hooked up again. After use for some time, some units require draining every few hours (varies), and your instructions then become not only flawed but downright impractical. So as I see it the only way to resolve this is to install the unit on a solid flat platform with at least 6 inches of elevation and a large enough container to catch the drainage.

    Does the unit operate at ambient temperature more than 35 C° the employee said that it will disconnect if the ambient temperature outside the room reaches 38 C° and it will be useless he also said that it is an auxiliary AC used with central ACs not used single

    Can you just put a hose on the 3rd drain outlet with the pump for all modes? Why are there 3 different drain holes on this thing..?

    • @MideaAmerica
      @MideaAmerica  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Dynamic Multimedia. Thanks for your question! There are typically three drain locations on our portable ACs that correspond to different modes. The highest drain point would be for dry mode, the middle will be for heat mode (if applicable), and the bottom will be for any condensate that could accumulate during cool mode (rare but can happen in high-humidity environments). Have a good day!
