- Hi everyone! Quadra V-Tech from Cyberpunk 2077 is finally at its new place! There's a small courtyard area, which means we can try to ride it, also check the new suspension and see how the car acts with such wheels!

Looking amazing, and I'm looking forward to seeing the paint and interior especially, a rear view camera with a feed to a monitor inside would fit the cyberpunk aesthetic well

Absolutely, ideal donor in my mind would've been an AUDI R8 given it's a mid rear V10 but that's obviously not a viable option financially
@Biodebatable he could have easily done a v8 or v6 swap mr2
@@Biodebatablecouldve used an mr2 shell and used a 5.2 audi v10 from a crashed audi s6. Wouldve been pretty cost efficient
You need to adjust the rear suspension so the wheels don't have positive camber as the outer tires isn't contacting the ground and may rub on the wheelarchs.

It should have enough. Also the double wheels are more weight than actual traction, the second wheel has maybe 10% of contact with the floor, due to the camber, most of it doesn't make contact with the ground.
Isn't it an mazda rx8 engine ? I wonder how long it'll last with all that weight lol
its basically a stripped rx8 shell, so its pretty light; only gripe I have about this build is the fact that the actual quadra is an RMR setup. Still awesome to see this kit.
Those 13b engines can make around 230bhp stock, if you install a turbo or bridge port you can make a fair chunk more power.
@@Kyle-xv5kv the problem is'nt the horsepower, it's the torque and rx8s make like 150ft lbs of torque and thats up really high in the rev range, im suprised it moves as well as it does.

Its getting there, this is going to be a great car when or if you ever finish it properly. I wouldnt even sell it, this is your masterpiece, so much work and dedication you put into this, it feels like this is your dream to own a real life quadra turbo. Keep it up man, i root for you, its very hard to make a cyber car completely from scratch.

You must create air vents for the radiator and oil coolers, or will overheat it for sure

@@nnaheim. it is a Mazda RX-8 a car with a rotary engine known for being very easy to overheat. I own one, I overheated it once for about 30sec, I had to rebuild my entire engine just for this one time that it overheated. And costed me near 8000$ just to make it run again. So, Yes it will overheat, and you will break the engine just driving around!

Its unfortunate that the law requires you to use a donor chassis. The real Quadra is rear-engine I think.
I mean I wanna say they could have gotten an MR2 out of a junkyard, but then I remember this is 2022 not 2002.

The actual Quadra V-Tech from the game, its full name being the 2058 Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech, makes 740 horsepower from a mid-mounted high-rpm V8, and it runs on a fuel called CHOOH2 (consider it basically E85 but unrealistically far better), basically the closest real life engine to the V-Tech's engine is a small-block with a built bottom end and built valvetrain that revs to a measly 9000 (since there is a small block Ford out there that goes beyond 10k and its a 1200hp n/a monster running 116 octane race fuel which is VP Racing's Q16 gas) and detuned to 740hp in the name of reliability while running on E85 fuel instead of petrol or methanol or whatever. The V-Tech is a pretty awesome car but it'd be a real challenge to make it, if you need to use a donor chassis, then if you can stomach it (and have the cash) you can get a DeTomaso Pantera or the GTS model of it, its roughly similar body shape and rear engine V8 are a very good fit, both are long and have a wide track width with wider back wheels. But given one of the cheaper Panteras I found was 80 grand its not worth it really :/

You'll get the same effect by buying a clapped-out RX-8 for about $3000 and cutting off the muffler.
@@peterjohnson9438 Agreed but that doesn't make the sound any less good. Many cars sound awesome just by removing the muffler
Happened on this video suggestion and noticed it was an RX8, so I had to give it some love. I daily an RX8 and I love cyberpunk, so this gets a big thumbs up from me. As other commenters mentioned, please add vents for the radiator and oil coolers so you don't cook it on the first real drive, haha. Progress so far look great!
Honda s2000 cluster would fit amazingly in this car.

i've seen this around before on videos but never actually looked at it next to a photo of the V-tech in the game and theres some dramatic differences in the lines of the car,
like the bottom of the door doesn't come down to the bottom of of the grill section on the game one
the line from the vent behind the front wheel has a gentle downward angle before steepening as it passes over the front wheel, it doesn't rise up first.
and the line over the rear wheel continues on a gentle rise as it passes the wheel arch it doesn't curve back down.
oh and it's rear engined in the game, you can take the camera under the back and see the twin air fitlers/turbos and the engine/oil filters etc.

Do you intend on adjusting the rear camber? I noticed that the extra set of rear wheels basically weren't on the ground at all. The project is coming out nicely by the way. Been following it for a long time.

@@snowpuddle9622 It's an home made project, not factory one so it's understandable that guy had to cut costs, it's not finished yet anyway this video is just test for suspension and to see if the wheels are spinning correctly.

No it certainly does not. The engine in the game is without a doubt a v10.
@@fl4shblade ...I know its a 4.4 ltr V10 in the quadra but this SOUNDS just as bougé. Its great tbh and the imprint of a V10 in real life we have is basically the LFA so less people expect a V10 to sound this way.

rotary powered V-tech sounds and looks killer.
There is no point in having double wheels on the back if their angle is so that they do not touch the ground, it's just a additional weight right now.

I suggest replacing the RX8 genesis 13B motor with a RX7 FD 13B motor or a cosmo 20B 3 rotor, the genesis 13B's are very weak compared to the other rotory's i mentioned, and definitely recommend a turbo charger setup 👍🏾
I agree. There are a lot of great aftermarket options for the RX7's engine, given that it was such an iconic racing platform from Mazda.
@@mozzarellaice2014 exactly! Even a LS would be great! I mean.. its no longer a RX8 so it doesnt have to be "pure" anymore, i would prefer another rotory but idk what the car (in game) actually sounds like so ill have to do some research 😂
I know the builder is in either Asia or Europe, so it may be harder to get support for an LS, (although I really have no idea for sure). But LS would be much more reliable than a rotatory, although less cool in my opinion.
@@mozzarellaice2014 definitely less cool, another good swap would be a 1jz-2jz, price is another big factor in all of thias aswell hahaha
They probably won’t even consider swapping the engine till the rest of the build is done and even when they are done they most likely won’t bother with doing so as power isn’t important for a replica and could cause a lot of problems for the rest of the build. Unless you’re looking to invest a substantial amount of money in building power such as turbocharging the 13b the Renesis is fine, especially given the hassle it’ll cause. I doubt he’ll even port it as then it’d sound too distinctly rotary and mess with the image.

Maaa..i got a honda with a iVTEC engine and i start to think that this is maybe some kind of reference and thats soo cool!!
im suprised it can move as well as it does, the base car is an rx8 and those things have basically zero torque down low and this thing has a another 200lbs attached to the wheels .
