After I complete these 2 upcoming Masterclasses, I also wanted to do a video similar like this for the Data Reshaper and Proximity Sensor. I believe they are both VERY STRONG. Especially the proximity sensor, it is essentially infinite wall hacks because of its refresh rate. I highly recommend trying them if you haven't! 👍👍
Been rocking it ever since the buff. Covers so much area I absolutely love it. The Nama Tama skin is the egg on top of this, can’t get any better than that 🥚
I love the goo grenade, but tbh the only reason why I'm not using it as often is because of how inconsistent it is. I don't know how it's coded, but sometimes the goo will not spawn like it should. For example, you throw it in front of a door and it spawns at 90° to the door rather than parallel as it should. It's also hard to make the goo go where you want on uneven terrain. I wish they would fix this, the same way they would fix the heavy barrier so you can place it even if there's a small pebble on the way.
The barricade being so unreliable is why I went goo instead, I'll take any wall over a wall that I can never place. Walls, ceilings, from 20ft away, I still find goo so much easier to place, especially in the moment when a barricade manages to feel like it's always blocked. Goo just spawns no matter what is in the way.
Pro tip: in small rooms players often trying to block 100% of remaining side of room. But after they place 1 goo wall down on the floor there is 1/3 of uncovered space which enemy lights can use. To close that inexperienced player will throw goo grenade at ceiling expecting it to behave like floor one. But it would just grow 1 or 2 goo sections. Instead you need to throw it in the wall just below ceiling and goo wall will grow perpendicularly out of it, closing remaining space. (Yeah I can't explain it shortly)
goo grenade is so fucking awesome, added benefit on light cause it synergies rlly well with the grappling hook (you can hook up and sit in hard to reach spots to get heat off u or to stall cash outs)
Use this on heavy and its so much fun. Creating bridges across buildings, making diving boards to slam down, buying cover to reload and reposition, medium i instead go a little more offensively with pyro nade, zipline, jumppad or defib. Pyro nade to block choke points or use offensively and the mobility item for, well, mobility 😭 Edit; i do the goo wall + jumppad trick, but usually just use barrels for it since thyere everywhere
people always run past my goo pads. for a while i would throw the goo ahead of my team mates when we spawned to they would stop but every time they climb over and run off. even when they already saw do the jumpad thing several times in the match. even my discord server does this unless i specifically tell them to wait a second every single time i do it. life has been much easier when i started leveling the zipline
U can also block the mega pads in fortune stadium the isuel ones both with goo, don't throw the goo directly on top of it bc it'll just bounce off but to the side of the pad bc the width of the goo will still get on top of the pad ( only tried this on the isuel mega pads not sure about the other maps or ones)
Goo Gun has ALWAYS been the most underrated specialization in the whole game! It's power scales with creativity and experience and the skill ceiling genuinely might be higher than any other ability in the game. Also great video as always! Nobody makes Finals content quite like Hazed!
The most underrated gadget of all is definitely data reshaper! Love this gadget so much, especially because I mostly play powershift, if I see a lot of mediums in the other team, I just know they be running turrets 😊
The Goo Grenade literally carried me and my buddies up the ranks back in S2. The other teams were never ready for the degree in which we used them, and in truth a lot of time it felt like they were just shooting themselves in the foot for not running it.
Goo Grenades have been on my loadout in season 2. I play mostly Riot Shield, and the sheer versatility of it has solely made it possible for me to reach D3 in with it. Some things you dont touch upon is how it can be thrown in front of fleeing players to deny an escape and be able to gap close, which admitedly is only super relevant for melee builds, but also that you can throw it on people to "stun" them like when using the goo gun. It can stop Cashout steals, revives, or even screw with a medium trying to revive his teammate. Overall I can fully admit thay Goo Nade is my favorite gadget in the game, and I don't see a reason to move away from it when playing the game lol
Free fire has gloo wall as its meta for like years at this point. Its a mobile game. Its called something very similar to gloo wall and is used the same way in that game too.
Goo grenade is very underrated fir it’s use that’s true, it gives light a good defensive tool for the objective and is very good with grappling hook.it’s also good to throw goo and throw a grenade over goo mid fight
@NeonGutzYT uses goo grenade a ton and will make an impromptu platform off the side of the map where nobody checks to hide. and if the cashout is by a window, you can knock it over and out the window off the map, where you can use several goo grenades to build a goo tray to hold it there to delay a steal
If you are getting chased, a lot of players prefer to not shoot the goo since they would need more than half of their mag to make a hole (depending what weapon) big enough to go thru, at that point they are at a time and ammo disadvantage.
goo grenade my beloved!! imho i feel like it goes underutilized because most people play light and light players often don't need to interact with environment destruction/building, but that means they entirely miss the movement aspect of goo because they havent had a chance to figure it out yet
you can also throw a goo at stealers and interrupt, just dont miss otherwise you end up giving them cover lol. and you can also use goo to chase people down if youre playing melee. another use, but ive only managed to do this once and on accident, is separating teams; someone enters a room and you lock them in before their team follows in making it an easy 2/3 vs 1. anyway, i feel bad for using goo in my loadouts because it slows down my xp gain to a crawl. i usually play medium and i already have black defibs that you just cant not run, if i run a goo then im only leveling 1 gadget. and when i finally max out the zip i will be leveling zero gadgets because imagine not running a jump pad or zipline on medium. but ive definitely noticed losing a lot more without goo, especially when out in the open and people on my team dont have cover gadgets. all i have is goo cans. maybe i should start playing with reshifter to have access to more goo cans but it takes me so much brain power to use it effectively, i choke and never use it. data reshifter PSA - you can reshift turrets, APS and barricades.
i agree its really underrated, but i feel that demat and charge are kinda prevalent this season and counter it. it's also about tradeoffs with other items for the slots...
I think flashes gloo and thermal vision is the final form of a grapple light player. Warpgate is usefull when you are trying to find uses for it and for that you need to be low enoigh ranked where you arent constantly pressured.
i hope i dont see this used against me but ima spill the sause, stealth light with goo is beyond broken. when u vault a structure in stealth, theres no sound compared to moving side to side. getting into fights doing chip dmg then gooing infront 9/10 the player thinks your hiding behind, hits nothing and forgets about you. been doing this with dagger for ever and its to good
Goo is nice for most players, either really skilled but especially for bad players. Good players use dome because 5 seconds of cover while not missing and shooting their targets is all they need to get a wipe or advantage in a fight and wiping teams and stealing while there's nobody to contest is way better than situationally trying to sneak a steal with goo on 3rd parties or mid fights
I think people don’t use it because heavy’s barricade is just better, harder to destroy and more consistant and faster to place. Medium simply no have to space for a gadget like this since he is forced to use defib and mobility. Light the only class where it can be good imo
Ive seen an enemy heavy do this in quickplay. He would put down a goo wall and then run up to it at the same time as you. He would then use his flamethrower and burn through the wall like a badass.
my team abused the heck out the time during season 3 when goo burned for liked 12 or 14 seconds. we'd barricade the cashout with goo and when the time was right we set it alight. was a very effective stall, only counter is smoke nades/canisters but no one uses those or even knows that it counters fire.
for fortifying an obj, sure, you have some time to run around and look for goo cans. but nades are really good for movement and escape. if you need to cross a gap fast, youre not gonna go hunting for 2 cans, or when youre running away you may not find a can or manage to grab one to block a door.
Goo nades are better because of how much they cover. If im not mistaken canisters are 4 across now and goo nades are 6 across. Not to mention goo only last 1:30 second, so if you set up as soon as you get to a point with canisters most of the time when they get there they either start to disappear or already disappeared. Plus nothing will ever beat having it in your back pocket for quick plays like as soon as a teammate goes down, if someone is chasing you, or you need to steal the cashout/defend a cashout. And if you have a really big brain you can create the most disgusting off angles like in the trees above that one point on Kyoto, combine that with a very high damage gun like the pike and you can kill people before they realize where you even are. The possibilities are truly endless while a canisters possibilities are way more limited because of its availability.
Bruh ive been telling everyone this like to goo nade can do a million different things, and heavies with sledge hate it when i block em while running 🦧
