@@kajmak64bit76 That's a good point, it's harder to sync the environment up with 64 players in bf, so it's probably not fair to compare the 2 games side by side. But I feel like BF5 took a good step forward destruction-wise, while BF2042 just dropped small scale destruction for giant maps with no personality, and I think that was a major mistake from a map design standpoint
This is why it's basically my main game. I went back to BF2042.... oh dear. The Finals is what happens when all the good Dev's leave and do their own thing without EA messing it all up.
Im not entirely convinced bf would be better with this much destruction given the settings the games are usually in. It works really in the finals because of the map style imho.

If you’re having trouble with landmines all over objectives, there’s many ways to deal with it: Pyro grenade will clear out gas mines Smoke grenade will clear fire from pyro mines Just shoot explosive mines And if you run medium, use data reshaper. This will turn the mines into harmless potted plants. Hope this helps out some newer players, and see you in the arena!
Data reshaper is great for so much. Anything that an enemy throws at you (excluding bullets) you can reshape into a harmless plant or table. RPG? Grenade? About to explode gas barrel? Turret? Barricade? Dome shield? All will be Table. And you can turn props into barrels. Barrel spam is cool too
I stopped for about 6-7 months after launch when my homies stopped playing and regretted it. I started playing again when my girl got her PS5 and I downloaded it for her, played a few matches, and then reinstalled in my PC. 😂😂
The Finals has easily become my favorite game, especially coming from a BF background. It has a great development team that is passionate about their title and backed with a great supportive community. I really hope to see this game thrive and season 4 was a step in the right direction.

This game is from another timeline, one where quake and unreal tournament never gave way to grounded military bro shooters. A match in this plays just like an unreal tournament match at its core, an unreal match where someone might come through that wall at any moment. So good. I love all the setups you can roll with this, I’ve been a fan of smoking up a room and flying in with thermal vision, no one else can see but I can! Game is full of mechanics like that, allowing you to ply various playstyles out of one class.
Having played the finals from season 2 i can honestly say its one of the most consistently fun games (especially FPS games) out there now. I find myself returning to it consistently as it balances casual fun with more serious technique. The community is also generally a little older and more mature. The UI while not perfect is much more streamlined and usable than CoD has become… real joy to play
I’m not sure how to explain but I really like how polished this game feels, the sound, the lobby, customisation and so on… it feels like a well made game with a good theme.
The finals has literally everything going for it. Good gunplay, good movement, awesome animations, incredible destruction, cool ass skins, free to play, interesting classes and weapons, like it's crazy.
Mark my words The Finals will indeed stand the test of time and only get better and better with each update. These guys have to be some of the most passionate and competent developers weve had for a live service game in a long time. Ive dropped all other FPS titles to main this game , have been diamond every season and currently top 50 in season 4 world tour. Coming from someone who swore never to touch competitive games again approx. 10 years ago, I came across The Finals on a boring night and oh my lord... I don't know when was the last time I fell in love with a game like this one. Been playing for 2-3 months now and I am enjoying it so so so much. A shame how underrated this game is, especially given how unique it is.

Day 1 player here and the evolution this game has had I really hope more players come over. Yes it gets sweaty af during the weekends and it can be intimidating learning and maneuvering but there’s some chill people like me that just play for fun. Nothing better than getting your first team wipe.

My friend tried to convince me to play this 2 seasons ago… I was an Apex head. This is now the only game I’m excited to play after work, they’ve made great improvements and the new map is so much fun.
As long as this game is live I’m not playing anything else, been locked in since S1 and I’m hooked. The next battlefield is gonna have to be a banger to get me to switch back at this point.
That is an issue they definitely need to fix. I feel like as time goes on they're definitely going to get on that but even then that still might happen
I play heavy all the time because despite the lack of mobility he’s obviously the major defensive and supportive player which I just really indulge in and the lack of movement hasn’t hindered me at all. He has his place and people just need to be fine with his con, that’s what makes interesting gameplay, taking sacrifice for potential gain and learning how to play to those high strengths and weaknesses.
Great vid, was taken completely by surprise by the notion that the battlepass took too long to complete. I usually play once or twice a week and never have failed to finish a battle pass in the two seasons I've played.

However, I personally think power shift does a great job of fulfilling the “TDM” role within the context of the finals. So I don’t think the original commenter even knows about the different modes in the game considering he only says “i’m not big on the current ONE”

Haven't played the finals since January just because I hated playing light against Heavy getting 1 shot my RPG and the shotguns being the most broken thing against any class but its good to see them making community wanted changes and I am absolutely coming back to play

I got back into it a week ago and I can't remember why I stopped playing. Super fun. No game has destruction quite like the finals, and very few get you as amped as when you get a last second steal on a cashbox in this game.
i find myself consistently coming back and playing the finals after every update, which I’ll say is pretty normal but even after time updates for some games wont entice me to come back. The Finals just gives scratches that itch
This game is a lot of fun if you have a squad of friends all working together in those final moments to qualify. However, there just isn't enough things to grind for, and solo Q-ing is no fun at all
solo q-ing is ok if you interact with the team. say hello via comm wheel at the start, ping where you want to go, ping ok, when others do that, try to revive even as light or heavy as much as you can, say thank you when you get revived etc. I never use voice chat started as solo q and be gold 2 in ranked and have like 16 "friends" in my list that i just know inside of the finals and get an invite almost alwas immediately when i open the game. And if I ant to play alone I just ignore the invite. Trust me most of the people are in solo q and really just want to find good teammates so use the tools you get from the game. Best of luck!
I just started last week playing this game and I dragged all my friends into it. We now play at least 2-3 hours of this every day. I ended up buying a 20$ bundle because of how much it gives you but wow am I enjoying this game. But man am I sad I missed out on getting the wire defib skin back in season 2 I think it's one of the coolest things ever
Been playing since OB and this game is my jam, barely any devs do level destruction anymore, and that sucks since randomized destruction actually makes games feel totally different on the same maps and doesnt get stale. IMO true game skill is adaptability to new and unique situations
This is my main game, love it. If you try it and don't like it, you simply didn't find the right play style/class to play with. This game is for anyone that likes shooters and has thumbs
I've been addicted to THE FINALS ever since I played the Open Beta. The movement, the gunplay, the destruction, the strategy. The insanely cool and unique cosmetics, both free and purchasable. AND you can Mix and Match items from different sets to make your character UNIQUELY yours. Not to mention how attentive Embark, the developers, are with the community and their feedback. They removed Nukes & Dead Go Boom, fixed Las Vegas, added community-made skins, brought back Ranked Tournaments, and so much more. As long as The Finals is able to be played, I will 100% be playing it and supporting it.
The boys and I have been playing the finals pretty consistently basically since launch. It's fun, has crossplay, free, and super casual, so it a great game for various skill levels and play styles. Most of my friends aren't hard-core into fps games but there's other playstyles that can be just as effective. In my opinion a very fun and accessible game

They need to fix their server issues. The last 3 weeks have been more brutal than the first 9 months combined. And the audio cue in Bank It is broken.

He has his place and people just need to be fine with his con, that’s what makes interesting gameplay, taking sacrifice for potential gain and learning how to play to those high strengths and weaknesses.
The destruction is indeed one of the best ever we have seen in a FPS game.
Great vid, was taken completely by surprise by the notion that the battlepass took too long to complete. I usually play once or twice a week and never have failed to finish a battle pass in the two seasons I've played.

@@derick5295 i think they said they’re looking into adding something like it. not necessarily that they would add it straight up. However, I personally think power shift does a great job of fulfilling the “TDM” role within the context of the finals. So I don’t think the original commenter even knows about the different modes in the game considering he only says “i’m not big on the current ONE”

No one wants ANOTHER tdm or battle-royale. We've had one too many. This game is trying to be unique and actually succeeding whilst being really fun. Please don't ruin it with tdm

Haven't played the finals since January just because I hated playing light against Heavy getting 1 shot my RPG and the shotguns being the most broken thing against any class but its good to see them making community wanted changes and I am absolutely coming back to play

I got back into it a week ago and I can't remember why I stopped playing. Super fun. No game has destruction quite like the finals, and very few get you as amped as when you get a last second steal on a cashbox in this game.

i find myself consistently coming back and playing the finals after every update, which I’ll say is pretty normal but even after time updates for some games wont entice me to come back. The Finals just gives scratches that itch

This game is a lot of fun if you have a squad of friends all working together in those final moments to qualify. However, there just isn't enough things to grind for, and solo Q-ing is no fun at all
solo q-ing is ok if you interact with the team. say hello via comm wheel at the start, ping where you want to go, ping ok, when others do that, try to revive even as light or heavy as much as you can, say thank you when you get revived etc. I never use voice chat started as solo q and be gold 2 in ranked and have like 16 "friends" in my list that i just know inside of the finals and get an invite almost alwas immediately when i open the game. And if I ant to play alone I just ignore the invite. Trust me most of the people are in solo q and really just want to find good teammates so use the tools you get from the game. Best of luck!
I just started last week playing this game and I dragged all my friends into it. We now play at least 2-3 hours of this every day. I ended up buying a 20$ bundle because of how much it gives you but wow am I enjoying this game. But man am I sad I missed out on getting the wire defib skin back in season 2 I think it's one of the coolest things ever
Been playing since OB and this game is my jam, barely any devs do level destruction anymore, and that sucks since randomized destruction actually makes games feel totally different on the same maps and doesnt get stale. IMO true game skill is adaptability to new and unique situations

I've been addicted to THE FINALS ever since I played the Open Beta. The movement, the gunplay, the destruction, the strategy. The insanely cool and unique cosmetics, both free and purchasable. AND you can Mix and Match items from different sets to make your character UNIQUELY yours. Not to mention how attentive Embark, the developers, are with the community and their feedback. They removed Nukes & Dead Go Boom, fixed Las Vegas, added community-made skins, brought back Ranked Tournaments, and so much more. As long as The Finals is able to be played, I will 100% be playing it and supporting it.

The boys and I have been playing the finals pretty consistently basically since launch. It's fun, has crossplay, free, and super casual, so it a great game for various skill levels and play styles. Most of my friends aren't hard-core into fps games but there's other playstyles that can be just as effective. In my opinion a very fun and accessible game
