The new container is NOT larger, volume-wise than the small grid large; the new one comes out to 13,125L . Which means it's still smaller than it should be, but not by a lot, Edit: as it's 3.5m x 2.5m x 1.5m, whereas the small grid large comes out to 15,625L at 2.5m x 2.5m x 2.5m. There's 2.5m³ difference between the two blocks
You're also incorrect about the Prototech Refinery (large grid) having only 2 conveyor ports. It has 4. The bottom is a mirror-image of the back, just as the top is a mirror of the front. This makes it handy to place a pair of them in symmetrical builds.
These encounters are extremely overpowered for a new saves. I started a new game on Pertam and within about 30 minutes a single blip appeared for a "damaged antenna" 6km away. I jetpacked over to it and found a ship with a functioning nuclear reactor + ingots, 10k iron ingots in loose loot, and a ship comprised of large grid heavy armor. Talk about an overpowered start....
I feel like that's pretty good actually, the slow early progression when starting on a planet feels really tedious, especially if it's not your first time

True. But the modular should still have a bit more volume than it does. Given its a lot closer in terms of blocks than 33%, which is how much difference in space there is.

Further, the SG Small container has a volume of 125, same as the Engineer. Like many things in SE, it increases linearly in size. Don't know why this new container is different, though. It would make more sense by volume to be 3x4x7.
Not even commenting on what seems to me to be one of the best parts of the Prototech Gyros: More than one attachment point. It looks to be a full block rather than the "only the bottom can attach" of the standard model.
you should look up details on each block before recording, if not make a script. a lot of the things you weren't 100% sure on has been confirmed with numbers by others

As far as i checked more or less most prototech block are at least 2x stronger than vanila counterpart Thruster only has twice the power of hydrogen thruster.. battery is 4x stronger redinery 6x faster and 2x more yield so yeah pretty good
Well, x2 hydrogen thruster without needing fuel is pretty big. I can't be the only guy who frequently biulds an awesome ship, but then finds that it has insufficient engine power to fly(or only barely flies at a snail's pace). The Prototech thruster is probably getting used in every creative mode ship from now on...

So the update came out on the computer, adding only the little change to the factions and the prototech blocks. The whole PvE aspect hasn't changed when I updated, and the prototech faction doesn't even load in, and some of the blocks just don't work. I'm not sure wassup but it's kinda frustrating tbh
That's bc Keen decided to release the update to Microsoft the DAY OF the release. Not on MS this time, it's Keen. Bc this is the 1st update that has not released at the same time/day.
the dlc container is slightly smaller than to large small grid one : 5*5*5=125 cubes for the large, 5*3*7=105 for the DLC. DLC is slightly less efficient, with 95.24 l/cube against 125, but much easier to look nice with its irregular shape.
the prototech drill, 3x3x4 and does NOT come in small grid....... YET... i think modders will rectify this fairly quick, along with other proto blocks they think should also be small grid along with any blocks they think should have been proto'd as well..... just sayin, may take time, but i think it will happen....

I was quite surprised, as I thought they were prototech turrets. Part of me is happy they aren't though, because they look so cool and won't be too expensive to make.

Acquire enough frame and parts on encounters and you could build the assembler... However i had an idea for a unique prototech block that makes the frames since the only two unable to be made are prototech frame and scrap. But it also would be barricaded behind an encounter
Check out rotors in actions menu( eg timer).... So much great options. Rotor Lock on and rotor Lock off. So now no guessing. Also. Set angel and reset. And rotate to angel.. I am grinding down timers left right and center. ...also for pistons.. Connectors in actions menus. Collect all on Collect all off.
"insanely" is over exaggerating, the refinery is only 50 over normal refinery with the modules thrusters are garbage pretty much same just different model

You're missing the part where the Prototech Assembler is the only way to craft the components needed to build other Prototech blocks. You can of course also scavenge those components and blocks.

Same blocks remodelled and reconfigured. Cosmetics dlc, how refreshing! Such a shame. Do something new, you lazy ... (772 hrs in-game since 2014, btw)

3 x 5 x 7 = 105 block volume
It's 17% less volume and has 30% less capacity.
No 3x3 piston is criminal but the small grid decorations more than make up for it for til next upsate
