There’s supposed to be a small ball that catches in the groove you want to place the steering shaft where you want it. My local (long-time) John Deere dealer had one of the balls in stock. You might get lucky, too.
Thanks. These old Johnny Poppers sure have a neat sound. Thanks for watching and good luck on your project. If you have any questions, I’d be glad to try to help.
That’s awesome that you got your granddaddy’s tractor. Unfortunately I did not install a hitch on this tractor. It was on there when I drug it out of the woods. I’m sorry that I can’t offer any advice. I’d be happy to try to help answer any other questions. Thanks for watching!
I have done it with the tank on and it’s very tight. If you can, I would remove the tank to replace the switch. Only 4 bolts hold the gas tank in and it frees up a good bit of room. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Awesome, like the sound of the tractor

Love my M, fun project
Nice tractor. Well done in getting it running. At the moment I am working on a G

I am 60 and just got the M my granddaddy taught me to drive on when I was 6. I want to put a 3 point hitch on mine. How did you do yours?

Nice tractor! I have one just like it. Question for you - did you have to take the gas tank off to replace the switch?
