Shocking Canada isn’t involved in this coming World Cup. Luckily we may see them in Qatar rather then France

New Zealand was and hosted a brilliant world Cup which was in 2015 then it was Japan in 2019 which was also good
I love the world Cup as its the only pro rugby union competition u see these sorts of teams and you see the different teams and their player who some of which leave their jobs just to represent their country in rugby's Premier competition
And some get professional careers out of it that counts for rugby coaches n mangers too
For example Eddie how who took Japan all the way too the semi finals of the first Asian and Japanese rugby competition of which inspired all these new young players coming threw and ofcourse the job making Japan so disciplined and making semi finals and Eddie the Japan manager was scooped up by England Rugby 🏉

2015 was in England. New Zealand was 2011. Japan 2019 was the best World Cup so far I think, despite the typhoon.

Also but a lot of American football drop outs after college football do not get scollerships into football or baseball academy's so they join rugby if the coaches and spotters get the athletes and catch them train them at training camps before you know it you have decent run clubs with world class coached like Eddie Jones and they leave jobs in hope of a professional career in Europe or England the best league in the world they keep playing even if there is international games on n that gives second choice players to prove themselves

Yet another example of the shocking decline in Canadian rugby. While other countries invested in the grassroots, developing clubs and facilities to grow their own players, fans, sponsors, and coaches, Rugby Canada took money from the clubs to pay for their “elite” programs and executive perks. Not very smart. Canada may never again qualify for the RWC.

Both nations have aged in world cups in years gone by and done well
However these so called weaker nations have to play in a real competitive game may be it friendly matches but say romani play or train in nations like new Zealand and get the investment in their countries schools and club training
The USA should be up there also but they havnt even got football I mean soccer! Excepts from the ladies soccer team
More investment in these countries and you will get better players coming through
Canada and Romania will never do anything if they are not getting n playing the so called stronger nations

I don't know how you can say that Romania aren't playing in "real competitive" games given how competitive the REC is.
Georgia are clearer a step above them but they're on a very similar level to Spain, Portugal and Russia (sorry Netherlands). Lots of good competition at that level.

It's true that more competition and access to more games will help
You are right. But none of it can gaurantee success. As you yourself point out the US has been playing football ⚽ for how long now? They have had a pro league for about 25+ years and what do they have to show for it? Are they especially good at it? No....not at all. They couldn't even qualify for the last FIFA world cup. So clearly It's not just about money. If that were the case sports would be dominated by rich countries only. Except look at Brazil in Football ⚽, or South Africa in Rugby 🏉. Or India in Cricket 🏏. None of these countries have excelled at the various sports because of money (even though it's part of it). It's because the respective sports are Ingrained in their cultures. Everyone in those countries watches, plays or has played the sport. Kids are everywhere outside playing the game. From the schools to the streets.
Is any of that true of Football ⚽ or Rugby 🏉in the US? No......not at all. In fact their own sports are FAR more popular. So they ....or any country....can throw as much money at it as they want. It's not going to magically produce results.
Countries like Romania or Georgia probably have a better shot because there aren't already a whole lot of more popular sports in those countries. Their sports scenes are quite undeveloped overall. And their populations are not big. But even so it's going to be an uphill battle for them too. How does IRB give more games to more countries? Rugby take a lot of wear and tear on the body. So tier 1 nations can't just play any and all teams to give them more experience. The only way is to earn your way into a higher level competition as Argentina did in the Rugby Championship. And as Japan is trying to do.
