I think it's very funny your experience in the US about food prices, because it's so common to change what you eat on the menu restaurants have built in price changes for basic accomodations. It's a 50/50 if it's built in cheaper or asking about and getting it cheaper, due to Americans being fat.
Always interesting to see 2 games taking 40 minutes and then having 20 minutes left for the remaining 1-3 games. Spoiler: especially in this case where the score is 1:1 after 40 minutes. I've not finished watching yet but knowing at least 2 games will happen in 20 minutes in such a heated series is exciting.
No vegetarian options on Mexican cuisine menu seems so strange to me. If you do eggs, chile rellenos are bog standard. If you don't, its so easy to sub in grilled veggies, and then the are penty of items like quesedillas, flautas, sopas, where meat is highly optional even traditionally.

I'll add that while smaller Dutch cities were a but tricky to eat vegetarian, Amsterdam was quite good.
