When Carla kisses her, you can see Lavern crying. Gotta see it on a bigger screen besides phone or computer. So many moments in this show that have touched us, but this right here
"For the last fifteen years you've been my role model...but most of all you've been my friend. And Idon't know what else to say. I'm really, really gonna miss you." 😢😢😢😢😢
I just love the Janitor had a moment of empathy and kindness by getting the group a round on him. It really does humanize him. I wish there were moments with him like that.
The saddest part is that throughout the show you can kind of feel that this is coming and still Judy Reyes makes it just as deep as to meet your expectations. Truly the saddest scene in the show and well done with the right mix of comedy.
i love how even after such an emotional scene, they're still able to bring in humour in a none cheesy or disrespectful way and then at the end they can bring us right back to sadness by just saying: "to laverne." the choice of music is also excellent not just in this episode but pretty much all the music in scrubs is first class, that along with many other reasons is why i love scrubs so much, its a show that can never be equalled in my opinion... "to scrubs."
Judy Reyes is so sweet, and this scene really gets to me every time i watch it. You don't expect to see such acting talent in a sitcom usually, but she really makes it believable.
This is the GREATEST SADDEST MOMENT in TV HISTORY...i have shed so many tears watching this...i have lost my best friend and a cousin...Scrubs the greatest show ever!!!!!!!and JD is such a dunce! lol
Scrubs man... they perfected the comedy/drama storytelling in my opinion, going from the powerhouse performance of Judy to the comedic timing of Zach and Christa, great performing, great editing, what a great show ❤
Scrubs isn't the only show, but certainly one of the most efficient at having laughing your head off and two seconds later you're balling like a little child.
If I had one wish in life, is that they'd release this show in HQ on a streaming service. Tired of streaming this in LQ on a shitty website because there's no other way to see it.
this just goes to show how good an actress judy reyes is. THis scene is so sad, i love how elliot is such a good friend of carla that she can appreciate her pain
one of judys great scenes. i hope she has a great career post scrubs. also for the person who said elliot is sad for calling dr cox dr cox well she is a highly officious person
I remember how hard i cried when i saw this episode, having loved scrubs since i was 17 (now 24). Easily one of the best series i've ever seen (season 9 aside). Good times :).
it could be silly and humorous but it really all about them geting by with the sh*t that goes on around them people dieing etc i love it also because its really funny
i watched some commentaries with bill lawrence (creator of scrubs) and he said that they were killing off laverne because they thought the 6th season would be the last, but when they decided to do one more season they promised aloma wright they would bring her back to the show because they didnt mean to fire her and thats why shirley is there in the 7th season
One of the sadest episodes. I am glad that Lavern's actor now plays a different person but it's just not the same. And she's only been in a couple of episodes so far.
the thing about scrubs is his amazing habilitie to mied up sad moments wit hilarious-JD being godfather-. I think, is the only sitcom with the talent to do it of that way. Sorry for my english,,,
on the dvd extra for season six they said they killed laverne off because realistically working in a hospital for six years someone would have died and relates to the show. great clip
they thought it was geting cancelled so they killed her off but when they renewed the actress came back as another character and only j.d noticed they simmilarites
@neutralizor While I greatly appreciate the cleverness and wit of your comment, my observation still holds true if only because of the inappropriate juxtaposition of the words "baby I'm a man I was born to hate" with a woman crying over another woman dying. Further, even if one ignores the literal words and looks at the song's sentiments, they still don't fit the scene, as the song doesn't seem to be about losing a friend or even death, so much as it is about the fate life puts us in.
no show has as much heart and humor as scrubs, truly one of the greatest shows out there
There's MASH, but Scrubs is modern.
medical dramedy about the korean war
This was the most powerful scene . That song set it off.
This or my screwup. Both make me cry. 😢
The Only show that can make you cry and laugh in 8 seconds. RIP Scrubs
Every time I hear a Keane or Coldplay track come in near the end of an episode, I get major goosebumps.
both bands SO ICONIC

*KEANE* The Best Band! :)
yup, them and snow patrol are awsome
And their best song
The only scene in Scrubs that made me cry. Very well done.
MagicEmperor Ben's funeral?
@@Stepoldi Bens funeral... th-cam.com/video/3rirPLLYBys/w-d-xo.html DAMN...
And my lunch? 5x20 dr cox fallen.
One word: GOOSEBUMPS. Easily the most emotional scene from the entire series. It gets me every time.
I love it but the scene with Ben's (Brendan Fraser's) funeral ans Dr. Cox might hit even harder tbh.
as sad as this scene is it had the best setting with the song in the background, carla talking. and the words she says.
J.D. says "in your face" to a vase full of flowers. Perfection.
The saddest part is that throughout the show you can kind of feel that this is coming and still Judy Reyes makes it just as deep as to meet your expectations. Truly the saddest scene in the show and well done with the right mix of comedy.

You kidding me? A simple lack of a heart is not enough to dislike this, you'd need a negative heart value.
This is probably the saddest moment of this show..
not too many shows can make you laugh and cry at the same time like this one
2:08 my grandma did that. She was barely conscious during her last 2 days, but she waited until everyone could say goodbye
Man, this episode made me cry so much.. Scrubs does a great job mixing comedy and drama~
Cosmic scene
Simply Astounding
I really miss Scrubs 💥😊
Gets the tears welling up every time. Always think of this moment when I hear this Keane song now.
This scene keeps fuckin’ me up something fierce...
i dont think i will ever forget this episode... cos of this song!
I love keane, and I'm trying to watch all of scrubs, and when I hit this, the song, and the scene..... I couldn't stop crying.
the most touching is part is when dr cox says there from that guy and janitor just raises his glass, it shows how her death affected everyone
If I had one wish in life, is that they'd release this show in HQ on a streaming service. Tired of streaming this in LQ on a shitty website because there's no other way to see it.
What a sad scene and a beautiful song
I love how Scrubs can have you crying one second and laughing the next.
I cry, everytime.
There will be nothing like Scrubs ever again
Rare is the show that could make you belly laugh and ugly cry in the same episode. This one could...
JD's victory at the end is one of my favorite Scrubs moments
they always put scenes to songs...perfectly. great job here
This episode helped me through a really hard time. I just kept watching over and over. Thank God for Scrubs.
This episode made me cry like a little bitch
😂😊🤣
every time i watch back this episode, just really touching !
Scrubs is the show that I most enjoy.
this just goes to show how good an actress judy reyes is. THis scene is so sad, i love how elliot is such a good friend of carla that she can appreciate her pain
I'm crying now, this is the sad scene that I never see before I'm broken totallity. :( 💔
I actually cried the first time I saw this, the music was perfect for this scene.
First time hearing the song was on this show.
This scene is right up there with the scene in Cowboy Bebop when Ed left 😢
This scene always makes me cry. :( Judy Reyes played her part well. God I love Scrubs, this scene was beautiful.
Wow, man. Good job. My spine and skin is tingling.
i totally agree, scrubs can have you laughing out loud then crying your eyes out, its an amazing show
one of judys great scenes. i hope she has a great career post scrubs. also for the person who said elliot is sad for calling dr cox dr cox well she is a highly officious person
Looked for this song on youtube, found this clip.
I'm going to start binge-watching this show.
brb.
I remember how hard i cried when i saw this episode, having loved scrubs since i was 17 (now 24). Easily one of the best series i've ever seen (season 9 aside). Good times :).
I agree, this is probably the first show since Friends that can be so serious and yet so funny, and actually pull it off.
it could be silly and humorous but it really all about them geting by with the sh*t that goes on around them people dieing etc i love it also because its really funny
Just today saw these episode on MTV Russia...
Very touching... I was crying
Love scrubs
2:59 Lmao. His voice and the way he delivers things makes it so much funnier.
I cry everytime I saw this episode....awsome!!!!

best.show.ever

Only scrubs can make you cry you eyes out for one scene and then make you die of laughter from the next.
This makes me cry every time i watch it
Best show I've seen.
Sad moment, so intense, with a great song.
Great scene, great song, enough said!!!

DUDE, THIS SONG WAS PLAYING DURING THIS SCENE? HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS BEFORE?!
i watched some commentaries with bill lawrence (creator of scrubs) and he said that they were killing off laverne because they thought the 6th season would be the last, but when they decided to do one more season they promised aloma wright they would bring her back to the show because they didnt mean to fire her and thats why shirley is there in the 7th season

the thing about scrubs is his amazing habilitie to mied up sad moments wit hilarious-JD being godfather-. I think, is the only sitcom with the talent to do it of that way.

this scene is soo sad...but at the end i laughed again because of JD.....Scrubs
Totally agree.
This scene was just perf'ect.
they thought it was geting cancelled so they killed her off but when they renewed the actress came back as another character and only j.d noticed they simmilarites
I cry(
What's screwed up they still treat the janitor like a half human.
Word!
It was a bummer when laverne died, she was a good character.
🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭
they thought the 6th season would be the last when they killed laverne, thats why they brought her back in the 7th
R.I.P. Laverne
judy reyes best moment dont worry girl they are all best moments
@fyrebro I know. I never thought a show would come along that would blow away seinfeld, but here it is!!!
LOL!!! @ Jenifer Dilon. JD cracks me up. XD
too perfect!! the scene, the music.. from start to the end..
not a fan of keane nor scrubs.. but it fits! good job!
lol the first time I saw this episode, I thought he was gonna faint. XD

Scrubs=Best show on TV
Sucks it'll be gone soon :-(
@neutralizor
