Stakuyi I notice you forget about planning bonus. Even when you're defending, draw up a battle line. Your troops will build a planning bonus which gives a bunch of bonuses.

I freakin love bulgaria in hoi4! It’s so freakin fun and keeps you occupied with things to do from beginning to end! I also love their tendency to start as probably the weakest balkan nation (bar albania) at the start of the game, but will generally end the game as it’s strongest.
The fact that every path is interesting and fun is impressive. Every other nation has at least one dud

You could try czechoslovakia as in the novel "Frogs in milk", defeat germany by refusing münchen, conquering austria and assasinating hitler. Then integrate balkans and wait for the soviets to attack into poland (I'm not sure if they will or if there are any of these options at all).
"Bash some Fash" -- I can see something rubbed off on stakuyi from the Anarchist Spain playthrough.
Fun fact: there’s a Star Wars mod for HOI4 where you can just annex/core Romania for free. Not sure why, but it’s funny.

Can you do the Mayan path in Kasierredux? Also, you did get cores on Turkey but you only got core on the states west of the Bosporus
Turkey is not cored in this path
only the parts of turkey in the bulkans get cored, so instalbul and west is cored but 99.9% of turkey isnt.

I know the flag is what Rigas Feraios imagined a "Balkan Federation" would be, but Jesus it looks bad.
I had my favourite ever run on this path. I ended up playing until 1953 and conquered everything except for china who had decided to join my faction early on and it was glorious.
If Rakovski could see this, he would be very proud.

I think one of the odder leaves I have had a game end with, and this was before the updated peace system, was east and west Germany but east Germany was the German Reich who immediately declared war on democratic Poland again and quickly died and was absorbed by west Germany
After watching the video and realising you went the path to corportate with the tsar and did not become monarchy after eating the countries is strange to me,cuz you can its pretty fun to do it
That moment when the whole German Reich just decides to go walkabout and ends up on the other side of Poland.
I have to say , you are the first person to go unite the balkans with bulgaria and not using spies to do it early enough to get albania also.

I literally got two achievements (Prussia of the Balkans and Balkan Problem Solved) earlier today doing the communist path of the Balkan Federation... and then he posts this mere hours later to show that it's easier going democratic. What timing!

Smartest move woul've been to give Besserabia and wait for the Axis to attack Russia. Then wait for Germany to bleed itself dry in Russia while extending it's army deeper east. Then attack the Axis when it's at its weakest and after it falls go after Russia (It'll still be battered and bruised after fighting the germans for years.)

just tried this but none of the others joined the faction? and albania said no and drew me into a war with italy who capped greece and took over my territory because i still had the army restrictions.

As a Bulgarian, I can say only one thing.
A United Balkan Federation is the dream of every open-minded individual over here.
But we also know that is impossible, because neither the West, nor Russia will allow it.
Propaganda is so deeply integrated in the minds of people that hatred for the neighbor is basically the most common thing you can see over here.
The "big ones" do not want to see the Balkans powerful and independent, because that way, when we are split into smaller states we are easier to influence and control.
I have friends from Macedonia who KNOW that their country is fake and they are just Bulgarians, Serbians and Albanians, who think they have a history (reason for this is quite simple, you just have to open any non-Macedonian map of Europe, and you can see that Macedonia never existed, aside as a territory in Greece/Bulgaria(just like other Bulgarian territories like Tracia, Dobrudza, Dunavska ravnina, the mountain regions and so on).
If every Balkan just gets 20-30 IQ more and start to think for themselves and the facts that it is going to be beneficial for everyone, we can see a UBE (United Balkan Empire).
I am not the best in politics, but I am pretty good at economics. A bigger territory with greater resources means greater export and less dependency on imports for different materials for every one of us. Then you can re-invest that money into poor regions, create a better standard of living for people, which in turn will boost population growth and workforce, which means more working citizens, re-invest taxes and income from exports in infrastructure, education and production. Profit. Which will basically put us on the map as an economic superpower in Europe, maybe even bigger than Germany.
But no, we must stay divided, corrupt, hateful and dumb. Because thats how the people pulling the strings profit at the moment. No one cares about the people, everyone cares how to become a billionaire as fast as they can, before the next election. One of our prime ministers (Boyko Borisov) who has traceable background to the KGB and organized crime groups (a.k.a. - The Bulgarian Mafia), has assets across his family worth several billon dollars. But the mafia is behind him so who is going to do something about it :D Two dumbasses came to power after that, failed to hold a stable government, because Boyko Borisov's party sabotaged them. They still managed to steal about 600 million for about a year, with foreign "investment" deals, which really hurt the economy. They basically sold our entire power grid to the US for nothing. Needless to say, the electricity bills jumped 30% after that, because the US "investor" wanted to drain the economy as fast as possible, just because they have the capability to do it :D Do you see how absurd everything is... We have the Democrats, who want to sell everything to the US. We have the Socialists who want to sell everything to Russia, we have an entirely Turkish political party, who wants to take half of our country's land into Turkey. There isn't a single party who fights for the well-being of the people. We can't even unite our own people, let alone create a United Balkans :D Maybe if I find 100 trillion USD on the ground, I would try to do it by media influence, start as a faction, like the EU, and then combine it into a single country. Otherwise it is impossible.
