Hey lily I'm a new mummy and I loved the comments about visiting a new baby - I'm a bit of a control freak so I wouldn't want someone in my kitchen helping me out BUT I appreciated when people understood how tired and emotional I was and didn't stay long and didn't demand to hold the baby. We had a horrible breastfeeding experience and it was so important for me to do every bottle feed and just to have positive close contact with my baby when she wasn't trying to breast feed or bottle feed and not have that stolen by friends or family who wanted a cuddle. You sound like a wonderful sister and auntie :) love how positively you showed London in this vlog too, amazingly diverse and friendly! I love that you always explore new places and aren't into only going to the cool, trendy places but are happy to go off the beaten track to find cool new places. It feels much more authentic!
Oh, my God😍 the tip/advice that you gave us was amazing! I always feel kinda sorry when we go to see new babies because you know, as you have said it is hard to be a hospitable person when you just had a baby. I will definitely help them from now on ☺

I'm not someone that comments a lot, I'm a little shy maybe or simply I think that, many times, the things I want to say were already said by someone else, and mainly I don't feel confident with my English as I'm Italian and I understand English very well but I have not many occasion to practice my conversation and my writing. However, today I genuinely want to say that through your videos you come as one of the nicest woman I've ever come across. Trying to understand people's comments, even when there is criticism and being objective and constuctive about them is a rare quality, that needs to be mentioned and appreciated. I also loved the last part of the vlog, when you talked about those little things that people can do when visiting a new mum. Although it can be difficult to ignore, try not to take criticism too personally as what isn't loved by one might be loved by others. I'd concentrate more on what you enjoy making/doing as if you don't enjoy doing it then the less you will be interested in producing it therefore the quality will slowly begin to slacken and your viewers might notice that. There's a quote that reads, "If you're hearts not in it then eventually your mind will follow" and I feel that this is appropriate here. Overall, I absolutely love watching your content. It's so laid back and natural. I really enjoy the amount of detail that you put into it from the little stories you tell us, the added in clips of product/item close ups, and how detailed your outfit of the days are. You also have a really nice balance of arty/normal clips which doesn't make your videos seem 'fake'. Lily! That's so true about visitors after you have a baby! I bought a job load of cans and bottles of water for people as I couldn't keep making teas for the amount of people who came in the first week. People who did a bit of washing up or took some washing for me were amazing! Just getting one load of washing bought back to me clean dry and smelling nice was the best feeling ever ! Also if you're unsure what to buy a new mother, jazzy pjs that can be worn when visitors come so you look half decent but comfy!
What you said about visiting people that just had a baby is so true!! Us parents need as much help as visitors can give can give, haha! Love your vlogs, with or without the cool editing details. And you did add a lot of them on the second half of the vlog 😉

ahhh best advise you give for people just had a baby...my husband was in military so he was away..... I wished people helped me or brought me food I didn't sleep for first 3 months it was exhausting but so worth it.....

Such good advice about visiting those with newborns. I also like to do this with present buying. If someone at work/in our friendship group has a baby, everyone buys for the baby, but I always make sure we get mum a present too. Even if it's just something like an 'emergency pamper pack' so that one day, covered in baby vom and not having showered for a week, they can lock themselves away with the pamper pack and just feel a bit of normality again.

I've just had a baby 4 weeks ago and I never knew what I was like having visitors, it can be horrible I've always waited weeks and until im invited but I feel terrible that I've never helped people out or taken food! I defo will now! My tips - don't stay too long. Don't keep texting for an invite. Never just turn up! Take food! Don't smoke before you come round! Ps. Lilly - I love your vlogs. Also check on the mom after the buzz of a new baby is gone. Postpartum depression is real and hard.

as a Mum of two and an Aunt of five (soon to be six!) I can not agree enough. Recovering from labour, feeding, sleepless nights, and all the emotional ups and downs is hard enough without a barrage of guests!

Lily! That's so true about visitors after you have a baby! I bought a job load of cans and bottles of water for people as I couldn't keep making teas for the amount of people who came in the first week. People who did a bit of washing up or took some washing for me were amazing! Just getting one load of washing bought back to me clean dry and smelling nice was the best feeling ever ! Also if you're unsure what to buy a new mother, jazzy pjs that can be worn when visitors come so you look half decent but comfy!
What you said about visiting people that just had a baby is so true!! Us parents need as much help as visitors can give can give, haha! Love your vlogs, with or without the cool editing details. And you did add a lot of them on the second half of the vlog 😉
I actually like your more simple vlogs, it's nice when you add the fancy shots too but the simpler vlogs are so much better and more personal!

ahhh best advise you give for people just had a baby...my husband was in military so he was away..... I wished people helped me or brought me food I didn't sleep for first 3 months it was exhausting but so worth it.....

Kinda random, but I've been loving your summer wardrobe this year! All your outfits look amazing!
Such good advice about visiting those with newborns. I also like to do this with present buying. If someone at work/in our friendship group has a baby, everyone buys for the baby, but I always make sure we get mum a present too. Even if it's just something like an 'emergency pamper pack' so that one day, covered in baby vom and not having showered for a week, they can lock themselves away with the pamper pack and just feel a bit of normality again.
I'm one of your older viewers and absolutely love your vlogs. You're cool, down to earth and not "showy offy". I can't bear the "look at me. Me, me, me" vloggers. Keep up the good work I say! ❤️
I've just had a baby 4 weeks ago and I never knew what I was like having visitors, it can be horrible I've always waited weeks and until im invited but I feel terrible that I've never helped people out or taken food! I defo will now!
My tips - don't stay too long.
Don't keep texting for an invite.
Never just turn up!
Take food!
Don't smoke before you come round!
