I first saw Iris at a concert in Seattle (1996), with Jimmy Dale Gilmore, and (you know her) Emmylou Harris. I was standing on the side of the stage when Iris was being introduced and Emmylou said, when she first heard Iris' voice "it was like a freight train comin' 'round the bend." That voice is still a freight train, whether it is a ballad or not.

It occurred to me that I've actually seen both Iris and Kate in concert (and I've gone to very few concerts.) Kate- Cotati, CA, Inn of the Beginning, 1976. Iris- The Egg, Albany, NY about 2017 or so.

Nancy sang other ppls songs as well as she did her own which usually does not happen. Until I learned she worshipped Lyndon Johnson she was my favorite female singer,
Iris has such a beautiful voice
Johnson make his mistakes for sure, but he got most of Kennedy"s social programs passed, which cost him and the Democrats to this day. His handling of the war affected him deeply, and probably killed him in the end, but I would take him over any of the lightweights that have come since.
You never see conspiracies for example, a lot testimony that Johnson had lots of fingerprints on the JFK assignation and its this sort of stuff that makes him a person unworthy of support. I suppose I had given Nanci undeserved credit to figure that out. I have since come to learn that those that figure it out and then voice it will immediately be censored from their career. In the end all media who knew more but kept silent concerning JFK end up being "in on it" and that's really why the country is close to enforcing a 1984 culture on society. All those who didn't take the red pill and who didn't peak down the rabbit hole will be hypnotized, they will be happy to voice that 2+2= whatever "Big Brother" announces that day and if they win, ppl like me will be fully silenced @@fubartotale3389
