Credit to the hero developers in Ignis that put this mod together. We’re starting to rapidly get through our bucket list of dream arma operations and this one was pretty much at the top for me. The fact that a setting this chaotic somehow feels less incomprehensible than the normal Ignis ops says either I am becoming far too accustomed to the insanity of these ops or that this episode was more suffering than chaos.

I like to believe lore wise this is when Super Earth realised that it would be more efficient and less costly to just have four Helldivers each mission spec ops style with a shit ton of stratagems instead.
Like the opening moments of this video is enough of an example for even Super Earth officials to say that having an entire army land down instead of a small task force is a bad idea.
For one, the drop pods themselves would crush the many marines rushing in to find cover and fight.
Second, the enemy would know immediately that there’s an attack coming and would be more than prepared.
The paratroopers in ww2 had this issue a lot of the time to my knowledge.
Ergo having a small handful of pods drop down odst style would help make the missions more successful due to a slight element of surprise.
Basically this operation, as fun as it is to watch and probably play out shows why Helldivers are so limited in regiments and squads and why Helldivers planetary invasions aren’t the same as say the clone wars invasions. It would just be a waste of resources.
It feels like Ignis is just a group of soldiers that randomly warps between realities and just does what everyone else in that universe’s military is doing until they magically warp to another one.

My favorite part of Helldivers is the constant screaming during missions. That's not stock standard, it's just me screaming in panic for the entirety of the op.
As someone who loves both Arma and HELLDIVERS this is a dream come true and looks like so much fun.
