I would be a liar if I said I didn’t go and start rewatching Band of Brothers right after we finished this campaign. It was a surprisingly fun experience that sparked a new interest in the time period for me so I’m stoked all around to be making a video out of it. ZF Digby is like an SCP of FPS's ... he just appears in the visual media of other people playing shooters.
Same with Whale he's also one of those guys that seemingly knows and plays with Everyone

The idea of a convoy cursed to eternally "march on" while trapped in WW2-era France, fighting a never-ending war of physical and psychological horrors, is both peak Ignis and peak SCP.

The thought of being a soldier in Normandy, and having someone in his squad constantly screaming about foul curses, blood sacrifices, and being taken by the sun god etc sounds absolutely hilarious.

I like how these Arma missions have progressed. Before, it was "Let's take it easy on the players and all have a good time." Now, it's "This is war and war is hell."
There's something hilarious and chaotic about just hearing Rimmy barking commands in the distance while everything burns around you lol

A single battle made Jay’s crew a tank ace and survived against an infantry push behind a rock wall.
That tank crew is getting Silver Stars for that operation. Tank Aces and a withdrawal, at night, through enemy infantry, displaying..... (Checks notes) gallantry and bravery in the face of overwhelming odds.

The black and white film segments with radio music were all perfectly made and executed, all these years of turning your funny moments in Arma into film and you've only gotten better at it
I get confused between if I'm watching one of rimmy's older arma videos that's formatted as an actual 20 minute video and if this is just another Jay video and it really is giving me unholy whiplash like "ah yes, tight coordination, random almost planned orders. This was Amazing Rubix, the editing is impeccable and felt like watching a movie, cuts of comedy interspersed with impactful moments. I could and would absolutely watch a full length comedy war movie like this!
Seeing Digby in a RubixRaptor video was not the crossover I was expecting
I said this in the last Arma video, but the quality in Jay’s videos has gotten way better, especially with the little bits in between every mission
The stream of this was amazingly comedic, especially when Red2 got put into the abyss and when the radio fuckups at the beginning of the session. Absolutely golden Tier RubixRaptor!! (And not GoldenSpatula tier)

less than five minutes in, one of the prhases i hear is: "Where is scorch? hes buried under all these bodies!", truly, its peak content
One of my favorite things about this channel is that it balances all the cool and awesome moments of Rubix and Ignis pulling some amazing stuff with all the stupid and crazy ways they failed and lost an entire squad to poor spacing or a physics failure.
People whose videos only show them winning are boring because it feels like they're cutting out all their bad moments to make themselves look better. Also failure is REALLY funny, so there's no reason to not enjoy the chaos.

Quite a few dramatic ups and downs in this one, it's almost like watching a tragi-comic war movie.
The exchange at 10:55 where Jay heals the sole surviving M10 crewmember seems somewhat genuine to me. It doesn't feel as much like a couple of guys playing a game where the squad will respawn, but closer to a couple of soldiers who haven't fully processed that their comrades are dead because the enemy is still out there. The "Welcome to Dog" line was especially good.
7:34 I think Rimmy will be happy with his spirt wolf girlfriend.
The tragic contrast of scene and music starting at 6:35 ish was palpable.
