    We love our Froli Sleep System that came standard in our NuCamp T@B 400. I honestly didn't see what the big deal about it was until we slept on it. What a difference it makes!

      @Travels with Delaney we haven't slept on it yet but will for the first time this weekend. We'll also be using our Northern Lite for the first time. Let's pray all goes well :-) See you soon!

      @Barbara Nelson I'm so glad that this video has helped someone. That's what we like to hear. It's also great to hear that their customer service was good to you. The mattress and Froli system look really interesting. You two have been working really hard on the improvements to your new camper. It's time for you to get out and enjoy yourselves some. Time is getting tight for good camping weather. We're going on what will probably be the last one for us up here for the year. We have to get ready for the long New England winter. Get out, have fun and enjoy.

    Condensation is a result of warm humid air contacting a cool or cold surface. Since the cab over has only a certain "R" value, wouldn't it be better to just add a vapor barrier insulating foam sheet
    under the mattress? Say, a 1.5" foam sheet with a 7 "R" value. Less cost, less height increase, no screwing down, and it addresses the problem head-on?

    Same thing happens on our boat. Providing air flow helps. I installed a solar vent fan in the head and we leave the door open while we sleep. That exhaust fan along with cracking a window/hatch provides air movement.

    Diesel heater will not make water and even blow it out the exhaust pipe. I use my diesel heat just in case I run out of propane and I ran a fuel line from 60 gal fuel tank from my Dodge 5.9 diesel and it works great. I met a old guy that ran heater hoses from his motor back to his truck camper to keep it warm in cold weather with quick connects and when dropping the caper unhook the lines and hook them back to gather . He ran the coolant threw a trans mission cooler with fan and it did a great job and only if you winter camp or go out west to Elk hunt and that’s where we ran in to him at Jackson Hole Wy .

    I didn't know about this product. Going to have to look into that if and when I do get my truck camper someday. The new Northern Lights have the ventilation and the cabinets in the side. To blow air underneath the mattress. I know at the beginning of the video you said you were thinking about doing something like that. I think that might be a good idea.

    Thanks! That 15 off really helped. Just ordered the Queen for our 22fb Airstream. Hoping we can attach some of the elements (separately) to the top of the access hatch under the mattress so easy access is still possible to the trailer's front wiring harness, etc. below.

    Excellent video. After several years, do you still use the Froli system? If not, what did you go to and why? What do you think of the mattress? We have a mid-level Temper-pedicure and are trying to figure out the mattress question for the TC. Always enjoy your videos and how well you two get along. Keep them coming!

    All of them do that are on platforms . And especially if there is a window at the head of the bedBe sure to always check inside of those cabinets from time to time because moisture builds up in them especially since they are under windows .

    • @RunawayRoses
      @RunawayRoses  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Freelander thanks for the advice, we definitely do check in our new one. We usually keep the cabinets open in between trips so that no moisture is trapped there. Thanks for watching!

    I love it guys. You made me start laughing. We put a box mattress in our camper, had same experience. Look forward to seeing you guys. The bed system is pretty cool. Look at the system. Did you purchase 2 sets to cover the 60 by 80 space?

    • @RunawayRoses
      @RunawayRoses  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Steve Miller, yes, it takes 2 sets of them to cover the queen size. They're kind of expensive but I really think it's going to save us from mildew and that is the goal :-)

    Why do you need the ventilation?

    • @RunawayRoses
      @RunawayRoses  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Travels and Travails: Enduring Adventure you need ventilation because of the way the mattress sits on the cabover area. It creates moisture. A system like the Froli helps to prevent any mildew from building up there because it allows air flow. Thank you for watching! ~Carla

  • @PembranchFarm

    • @RunawayRoses

      No we never added the red clips and we have used it in 8 different campers. Love the Froli. Thanks for watching!

  • @BillSprague
    @BillSprague 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you do cut slots along the sides next to the Froli, could you put computer fans I the side boxes to pull air through the foot area? That could pull air through, as you travel. Just shut them of at night, if the noise is a problem or use the for white noise. Just a thought. BTW, where did you end up hiding that body? 😂

    • @RunawayRoses
      @RunawayRoses  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol, that mattress was very cumbersome for sure!! That type of fan is exactly what Todd was thinking about putting there. There is actually a pretty big gap on the sides between the mattress and the side so we are thinking that we may not need vents or fans but we will wait and see. Thank you for watching!!

      @Harold Gatlin, the queen size kit sells for $398, which is actually 2 basic Bed in the Box kits ($199 ea.) 12 elements per row, 10 rows across.
      Sometimes the double kit ($319) with an additional 12 pack ($42) also fits. This would be 12 elements by 9 elements across.
      Here is also a link where you can get a 15% discount:
