Y'all know this is just my opinion, right?
that album cover is hard dude wth
Love the album cover as well.
Just DJ'ing at the beach
@@myles7453not just that, he's DJ'ing on a fricking saw 😭😭
And it's actually a real photo, not ai or edited
One of the best album covers of the decade imo
This might be one of the hardest album covers ever made, its absolutely fire

I gotta thank Melon for introducing me to Iglooghost years ago
Iglooghost has some of the most unique production around right now. I hope people start picking him up as a producer for vocalists, rappers, etc. Clear Tamei is still one of my favorite Iglooghost songs though.
Black Light Ultra tho
Got the pleasure of meeting Mr igloo after one of his festival shows. He killed it with his own visuals and all original songs for the smallest crowd I saw all weekend. Super nice guy too glad he's getting love for this release
Saw him and Babii in the Rico Nasty pit at a festival years ago 😂 so awesome
I heard he spawn namü itself to do a verse live is that true?
man i wish he would tour in the states i need to see this man
how the fuck is electronic music able to give me so many goosebump in one singular album dude??!?
Inevitably there is a person behind the machine and it's truly fascinating what some people come up with to do with them. Ideas are boundless and we shouldn't restrict them to just physica/digital constraints. They should be allowed to grow in whichever medium we can express them through.
Favorite album of the year so far. I wasn’t sure how he would elevate his sound after his first two albums and this feels like such a flex of his insane talent and musical wizardry. Love the aesthetics of this album, love how rich and textured the sounds are, love how freaking hard it goes. Front runner for best album cover of the decade too.
Iglooghost is a generational talent and my successor to Aphex Twin, as heretical to old heads as that may be. He's doing shit that others can't, and he's still so young.. like RDJ was when he was in the game early. He also fills the Blank Banshee shaped hole in my heart
we must hope. the abum has an aphex influencd aesthetic, more than his older projects
Yea I felt the aphex twin influence on this album but not too much. He has his own and unique sound
@@brycehenson8224 people just don't know any cool musician aside from Aphex and keeps putting him anywhere as if there's no one else in this world
@@brycehenson8224im not saying it is heavy influenced, but it's closer to that aesthetic than his other albums.
@@CamelliaFlingert stfu u dont know shit about me
Saw Iglooghost live a few days ago where I believe the set was primarily material from this album. I was surprised at how much of his own vocals are a part of the music, and he performed it as if in some hypnotic trance, and that energy was reflected in the audience dancing along. I love seeing artists completely possessed by their music, and I'd highly recommend going to his shows if you can make it!
you also saw him in berlin ?:D
@@nuudaaa Copenhagen 😎
thank you so much for this comment dude i had no idea he was touring live and now im gonna see him next weekend
@@spooty75 saw him in berlin a few days ago . and to be honest im a big fan of him since the old releases but i was kinda disappointed. he was so busy singing and his singing is not the reason i listen to him .i think its one of his weaknesses to be honest. how did you like it?
@nuudaaa that's fair. I was expecting something more like his Boiker Room set, so I was surprised. I still enjoyed it, and it was something unexpected with a passionate performance. The crowd really seemed to dig it too
Thank you for reviewing Neo Wax Bloom back in the day. It was like a rollercoaster for me. This new album instantly got my attention, like you said, for weeks of constant repeat now.
same
the mix on Seammus' vocals sells the idea that we are hearing an overly compressed radio transmission of a mixtape.
story telling will always trump musical fidelity in my eyes :)
@@floweryhue1214 i wish he talked about the worldbuilding behind the album but maybe fantano isnt the person for that
@@aSmallGreenDotwhy do yall need lore bro it’s just music
Idk if anthony will see this but thanks for introducing me to new artists such as iglooghost. I never knew i would fw this type of sound until i checked out based on your recommendation. I have literally found so many great artists because of you so yeah thanks once again
no problem bro
Same honestly

Some GOATED artists in here. I’d also throw in Mr Bill and Lapalux
Its reviews like these that got me to subscribe so many years ago. You have a beautiful way of describing abstract sounds without sounding glib.
Love the direction Gloo went with this. Heavier, darker, scummier. The build up to this release was awesome too with all that Exoportal stuff feeling like classic internet forums meeting with some post-apocalypse world building. All the Imagery tied to this album is awesome and unique, and that isn't saying enough about it. If you like this album you should check the site out, it brings life to a lot of the themes of the album and lets you poke around in its world a bit.
Been following Gloo since Neo Wax Bloom and if he keeps innovating like this he's gonna end up an electronic music legend.
honestly feel like he's made it to legend status with this album frrrr
Literally the hardest album cover I've ever seen
More like Igloo-GOAT Amirite?
fr 🔥🔥
Easily one of the most chaotic and mind-bending electronic albums I've heard this year. The production is INSANE.
You got any recs for electronic stuff from the past couple years?

I remember catching his set at the tail end of primavera in 2019. It was like 4:30 AM with the sun rising above the sea behind the stage. It was the weirdest and the most amazing psychedelic experience I've ever had
My fave of the year so far
Finding artists like Iglooghost is why I watch anthony. I've heard so much awesome unique music because of this man.
I agree
Me too
myself included
RIP to Anthony's home😔😔
Wait, was it really?
@@user-jz8dd3zj8e I'm just joking😂 I was referring to his thumbnail game lol.
Didn't expect to see this review so soon!
Yeah it took some time lmao💀
clear tamei is still my favourite track he's ever made, I still listen to it till this day
This album teleported me to a place like no other album has for so long, shit is fucking WILD.
Honestly this album is so inspiring, my entire life, I've wanted to make concept albums about radio and environmental scapes my whole life and this album has kinda affirmed and inspired a lot of those ideas lol.
It feels so surreal in a way and I live it so much lol
Iglooghost's music, visual art and its surrounding lore unironically fills me with so much genuine joy 🥺🖤 His work makes me feel like he's one of those rare artists who have maintained their childlike imagination and carefree attitude towards creating, while still also being super technically skilled. It's just pure fantastical fun without pretentions or cynicysm. ✨
Let's gooooo, Iglooghost is goated
Been a fan of lil ghostie since the first EP on bandcamp and I'm just blown away with where he's come to now!
Think this is Iglooghost's Magnum Opus from the cover to the music. This is HOTTTTT!!!
Loving these new melon thumbnails.
I'm surprised there was no mention of throwbacks to 90s and 00s industrial music. I heard so much Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Frontline Assembly, Funker Vogt, and other gritty, rusted distortion in this album. As an elder millennial, this album sends me through decades of electronic bleakness. I can't stop listening to it every day
Great review. I like this album but didn’t fully know how to describe what was happening on it until watching this.
Looking forward to the review of new bmth
Gotta be a perfect 10
nah dewdrop signal is for the true igloo fans, the way that piano melodies are like essential on all previous iglooghost music, you can tell TME doesn’t have any cause it’s such a switchup. dewdrop signal is the only song w piano melodies (the 2nd half of this song is such a tearjerker like that bass and the lil piano melodies on top…… i literally cried)
Loving these creative thumbnails melon
6:48 as if every single full and short album and EP he’s released didn’t single handedly prove that
i'd love to see you reviewing Sega Bodega's new album
he really needs to check it out, dennis is really good
Anthony stop giving 8+
That yellow flannel needs to rest
This is absolutely not the album to be saying this about.
Iglooghost has been playing around with UK Drill for a long time, he actually introduced me to the genre with his Chalk Shrine Mixtape but he brings such a fun twist to it! Seammus is such a talented producer and sound designer and I feel like he drops off a few winks to his contemporaries on this project, namely Oneohtrix Point Never, Blank Banshee and SOPHIE. I also found myself thinking about SALEM's King Night during a few tracks.
Agreed, one of the electronic futuristicaly oriented albums of the year, somethink producers yearning for years! And hope he will putt envelope even further with next project artisticaly. Thanks for inspirational rewiev!
Album of the year !!!!
Ghost is gonna go down as a historical artist of our time I think, he is starting to have a pretty big influence on electronic music as a whole
cant wait till you done one of mines
8 is to low bud, good try tho!
Review Clancy it came out a hour ago from twenty one pilots trust it’s up their with trench!!!
This album went unbelievably hard for NO REASON!
Iglooghost is so cool, all his album art, track titles, musical style… I dunno I just totally fuck with everything
2024 is turning out to be a fantastic year for music
Thanks melon, I've loved their past stuff but the first couple tracks didn't grab me so I'll give it another listen
I put Iglooghost in a couple of my spotify playlists!!
"I hate the ocean!!!" Thalassophobes when they hear this album:
This album is everything. I think it's the most accessible compared to his previous work . Amazing 🔥
Exquisite. Now. Time for the crumb album.
live show was crazy too!
Sooo much good music this year wow
album literally goes fucking crazy for real
My AOTY I have always wanted this specific sound but never heard it until now
we need a review of the newest black dresses album since u seem to like the loud ladies!!!
Clear Tamei still one of my favorite EPs and this album was amazing
The seer LP has a lookout duty, love that
Iglooghost is cemented as a top producer at this point
We are not back, we been here
Insane intro
plz review the new black dresses album
Personally I would've liked to see you engage with describing the premise for the album (it's concept/story as detailed on iglooghosts social media), the visuals on his instagram, promotionals and music videos, and the entire fake forum he wrote. It's interesting to review the record ignoring these elements, but they're such a big part of the context of what you're hearing so I can't help but feel like it's a disservice.
Yooooh, killing it with the vids lately
YELLOW FLANNEL HAT TRICK
I’ve sat with this record for alittle time know and i can say that in my book, this is a light to a strong 9.
thanks for introducing this to me
Been waiting for this one. Let's go Igloo 🔥
so glad he got the yellow flannel, even though i personally preferred neo wax bloom this one still goes hard as fuck, see you talking about this album during list week
if you're enjoying electronic music such as this, you should most definitely check out the new skee mask record, who is a producer in a class of his own
How has this just appeared after two weeks? Looking forward to hearing what you think.
I cant believe Anthony Fantano is only 137 years old!
This album is fresh as hell
Immaculate production amd creativity. Music for my adhd soul 💖
Anthony really edging us with that 10/10
Year coming in clutch with all the electronic música
YES
I too love filling my ears with salty briny beats ❤
Antonio el Fantas
That cover by Ab, I saw personally, seems this project was locked for a long time in some parts
Should've been the first 10 of the year. It's their most coherent project both thematically and sonically. It finds a way to work within the conventions of its genre while still pushing the envelope. The production is diamond crisp, and the lyrics are the best they've written in years. I don't understand how you could just give this a 8.
How can you not understand how he could give this an 8 when you're literally commenting on his review of it?
I liked it more than Melon did too, but the score is very consistent with what he said in the video...
@@In.New.York.I.Milly.Rock. I'm a Fantano fan, I don't actually watch his reviews.
