Block. You really make me so happy man. You have no idea how much your riding, moding, talking, and personality mean to me(: you’re a great guy and seriously feel so blessed to be watching your vids! Thanks man!
Wind protection- life changing. Rock the windshield height that works for you, not your viewers. I didn’t have any problem watching the camera through the shield. Quite honestly, I appreciated the undistorted clear view. For myself, I don’t think my shoulder would like me very much if I didn’t have wind protection. I rode in pain for a lot of miles without a fairing. Now the ride is much more enjoyable!
The wind comes up your legs and up your chest. That's why we put fairing lowers on the fork legs. And yes you need to look over your windshield, the first time it rains you will understand.
The fairing creates a bubble of air that circulates behind it and causes helmet buffeting. I bought the windsplitter screen from Harley, which has a vent to eliminate it. In 2015, Harley started putting vents in all their fairings, to combat the issue.
I had an experience with Memphis Shades where I had an issue with one of their products. They resolved the problem and I must say I consider them to be a rock solid company that backs up 100% whatever they sell.
I’ve noticed a lot more wind coming up from underneath as well but overall, I am really happy with my road warrior fairing as well. Makes a huge difference at highway speeds. Great video Block! 👍🇺🇸
Did a long ride yesterday on my 2020 Fat Bob, my neck got quite tired from the wind on the helmet. I am ordering one of these next week. Thanks for the great review. Greetings from South Africa.
I had the heritage and the windshield did the same thing. My beard would beat the crap out of my sunglasses. I bought a roadglide ultra and no longer have that problem.
I ride from Winter Garden to Waterford Lakes daily via I-4 to avoid tolls and bad gas mileage in my modded Jeep. This seems like what I need for my Low Rider.
Winter Garden to Waterford via I-4? How, I-4 isn’t close to either of those, it’d be smarter to just ride 50 the whole way if you’re avoiding tolls. But 408 would get you there in a fraction of the time, I’d guess at least 70% faster than light to light on 50. But yeah, the fairing helps a ton with commuting for sure. It’s a game changer!
I got no problem with the view! 13" seems great to me. Maybe that's because I'm used to these kinds of motovlogs, but I think you should keept that windshield.
Yeah, the wind from the tank, I've heard a lot of people describe that too. you know if you want to keep going you can put lower fairings on it, I'm memphis shades would hook you up with the lower fairings too 😉 curious to see how it goes cuz I have a lot of tank wind with my windshield as well, But having a hard time with fitting lowers because I relocated my turn signals to my trouble tree 🤷♂️
Shade looks fine with the camera. When I got my first windshield there was an adjustment period. Before long you won't even notice. About the wind coming up from the bottom, you'll find this funny... First few days or so I kept thinking something was wrong with my bike because I hear and different type of noise on my bike, but only when I accelerated for the most part. Finally discovered since the wind was moving upwards, it was carrying the noise of my gremlin bell to my ears! Felt silly when I found that out!
I thought about putting a Memphis Shades batwing faring on my Sportster. I saw someone else with it and said nah. It just doesn't look right for a Sportster. That faring would probably look good though.
Block not gonna lie you’re the reason I traded in my road glide for a low rider S haha , took it for a test ride and knew when I got back it’s what I wanted !
Kyarikan ??? Makes a deflector that bolts on under the Tripple Trees. I HATE fork fangs! And wanted something to help with the wind coming up from under the windshield on my RoadKing. Installed one of the Tripple Trees deflector and it has helped a bunch.
So you didn’t say if you felt that side wind on the highway like you did just before or not..dig your channel and already bought the la pera bare bones for my 48..now I want a low rider s or slim club style...thanks Block! $$$$haha
Awsome video man 👍 I get the same thing with my elpaso Memphis shades where the wind feels like it's coming from low at about 60 to 70 mph im looking into getting some lowers for the bike witch is a Yamaha xv950 (bolt) hoping that will stop it , screen looks good on the lowrider man and video angle is good 👍👍
You said before that the sissy bar is by Top Hand Ventures but their site doesn’t show bars for new Softails. Did they make you a custom one? Did you choose a stock one and made it work; if so, which did you choose? More info please.
They have them n the website for new softsils. My dad has one on his 18 slim. Used to have one on my dyna street bob but took it off and got bags.. high quality product though
I like the thought process on the bike. I am going through the same. I also don't need all the stuff that comes with a faring, but like the protection behind one. Did you consider a batwing? Or would that be too much?
Hey block! I’m looking at getting one for my iron 883, i know they dont officially make one for sportsters but i do put miles on my sporty (not ideal for a small tank i know) and at higher speeds so it’d be nice to get that wind blocked out do you think it’ll be effective on a sportster? Also any other essential mods to do on a stock iron 883? Thanks in advance! 🤙🏻
Hey, just got my '19 883 and just put on the Memphis shades Cafe Fairing. I love it, I'm sure there are others out there that can help more but the style this one has and it also blocks some wind is great. I also suggest to get Python Slipons, they are loud and sound beautiful. I also am replacing my lights too, just got a new headlight and soon to get the indicator and brakes done. Hope some of this helped or gave you some ideas. Also look up Miles Miller on youtube to see some of the parts I suggested.
Hey! I'm buying this exact fairing and windscreen for my 2020 Lowrider S. Is that screen the dark smoke or regular smoke? How tall are you? I'm 6'2", but mostly legs. I'm wondering about wind buffeting for me
3 Percent Mick I once saw a comment on another video, where the guy said that he disliked the video, because he rides a different bike, not Harley but something Japanese. Also saw a comment on League of Legends video, where some guy was playing Yassuo and a viewer disliked, because he didint like playing against the champion..
Can’t please everyone, and definitely not trying to! I said awhile back once, that I could post a video of me saving a puppy from drowning, and people would still dislike it! lol
You're from Orlando right? If so I lived there, now in Clermont; but anyhow I never have a clue where you are lol Actually got my '19 Iron 883 from Stormyhill Harley, if you know where that is.
What is the height of your riser and bar combo? I wanna get a road warrior fairing but dont know what windshield to go with with my bars so it looks good
Aaron Woller sportster-Softail standard/streetbob. Dynas of course. Sport bikes are endless Duel sport is pretty much good from the floor which is nice.
Block, how tall are you?? I’m trying to decide how tall of a windshield to go with for this fairing and the 13” seems to be perfect for you. I have a soft tail slim S
Careful you don't strip and snap the cheap cast aluminum brackets and bolts. Mine broke after 6 months of regular use, rendering it useless. 2 of the 4 trigger mount brackets stripped out real fast, one snapped. Contacted Memphis Shades customer support 5 times for replacement parts but never received anything. Now I'm looking for something of better quality bc $400 is too much money for such poor quality hardware. The fairing itself is fine. The mounting hardware sucks.
Did I miss the walk around just to see what it looks like from the front, side on the bike. I'd prefer a larger clear screen off the Heritage or the Batwing for more protection in Winter.
As for the line of sight. I think it's perfect. For me it is right on the line of ground and air. I'll say keep it like this.
Brabo Biker Copy that! Got one I’m going to be trying that’s a little shorter just to see, but glad to know it’s perfect! 👍🏼
I just put the taller windscreen on my RW. REALLY love it over to 10". And you viewers can see better XD
Block. You really make me so happy man. You have no idea how much your riding, moding, talking, and personality mean to me(: you’re a great guy and seriously feel so blessed to be watching your vids! Thanks man!
I didn't even notice it being in the view until you pointed it out 😆.
And didn't bother me even then.
Jarrod C Glad to hear it!

Greetings from South Africa.
I know that H-D make a wind deflector that mounts between the triple trees that helps slows that air from coming up from below.
Can you share a link for that?
Looks good. I have a Memphis Shades Hellcat on my bike.
I had the heritage and the windshield did the same thing. My beard would beat the crap out of my sunglasses. I bought a roadglide ultra and no longer have that problem.
I added this fairing to my 2019 Fat Bob. Went with the 15 inch and am totally happy with it! Buy the handguards too!
Tar Mak I have same setup
How tall are you? I'm 6"2 should I go for the 17 inch? I have a 2012 Fat bob.

I think the windshield is fine. We are looking through it a bit but it is clear enough to see through.
Have the same fairing with 15” shield. Does great but I do get those same updrafts. Still, way better than the Sport Glide stock fairing.
Shade looks fine with the camera. When I got my first windshield there was an adjustment period. Before long you won't even notice. About the wind coming up from the bottom, you'll find this funny... Fork mount wind deflector, AKA fangs. Will stop that wind from coming up.
I just noticed you kept the mirrors up top. That’s a change for you.
Biker Boot - flip soon! lol
I have a Memphis Shades drop top on my Roadstar, looks silly works amazing.
Love the view.
I thought about putting a Memphis Shades batwing faring on my Sportster. I saw someone else with it and said nah. It just doesn't look right for a Sportster. That faring would probably look good though.

Taylor King - Lol, happy to help! 😁
Hey Taylor, are you happy with your switch? I am trying to find the cash for a road glide but could afford the low rider now.
Thanks Shady! 👊🏼 it’ll make those trips to Tampa / Y’bor more bearable for those upcoming dual vlogs 😁
Have you ever considered the TXR fairing. Its a little wider than the Memphis shades one. Might help better with the wind from the sides
Can't wait to get mine in the next few months
Sweet. Can you do a video on your gopro and mic gear set up? The voice sound at highway speed is better than most other videos.
Line of sight looks good, how’s the visibility at night though? Shield looks tinted?
Revecho Rides - no issue at night, it’s a light tint
Kyarikan ??? Makes a deflector that bolts on under the Tripple Trees.

Brabo Biker - need to make that vid for sure!
What speaker system do you have mounted to it? I think it looks killer! And do you have a install video? How easy is it to put on and take off?
Windshield and go pro looks fine to me
I think your next modification should be adding springs to the outside of your rear fenders. Oh wait....
M m - RIP Dyna... 2005 super glide owner here....
Can you do a review with the 15 inch screen? I'm Thinking of getting the 15 or the 17 for long rides.
They say a tank lift will help a lot with the air coming from around the tank.
As long as you don't mind your fuel gauge being inaccurate and always guessing how much you have left.
@@MichaelDeming My fuel gauge has always been inaccurate. I keep track of my gas the old fashioned way, with my trip odometer.
