At one time in laikipia was in class 3, the pokot attacked. We were locked up in classrooms by the teachers, they themselves hid in the staffroom and others fled. Pokot bandits ni 'bad news'
Very well articulated re the push and pull factors and how to address them. Economic empowerment and security are indeed the top key factors. For example in order to disarm the communities you have to first of all guarantee their security from within and and also from neighbouring hostile communities across the boarders. Without adequate security, it will be almost impossible to realise economic development and or empowerment via education.
Fighting them back may not help much. These guys are like super trained police officers. The government should find a proper avenue of recruiting them into the Kenya Police Forces through the attractive salary payment, with that the Bandits can willingly present themselves for the jobs
The fact that the POLITICIANS,BUSINESS MAN,POLICE and fellow people are the reason why punditry will never end,we have said several times why do you send AP officers to north rift, despite the fact we have said they cant survive, alot have been killed, even if we buy big vehicles it wont help,we need vast roads build across the north rift.
Good info. Kindly use a script on a screen or organize the story in writting to help with narration. The flow is lacking, its clear you have many things to say but sometimes forget hehe sina ubaya.
Good introduction, good story but poor narration in between, punctuated with a lot of discord in the flow of the story.Try to improve the narration to make your documentaries more captivating. I love your idea and the original intention of your channel, so please don't let me down.
Its like they dont hav a will n a way to fight these bandits coz if they were quiping they cud head to haiti,,,thus why i international community were mocking us we cant even secure Nairobi.
Great article, although instead of agriculture I would say what can solve their problems is proper mining.... I think actually agriculture is part of the problem.. Because if you think about it they can't compete with the fertile parts of kenya in rhe Kenyan market when it comes to food but if they mine they can subsidize their agriculture and do like that woman then grow something but just to feed the locals It's like we assumed their needs... Remember Africa doesn not have a real food economy and most of our agricultural products are just made and sold from local markets and not stores... We mostly produce cash crops... People always forget this
and all local NGOs and governments pretend to "fund" crop farming in north kenya yet we all know that it will not bear any fruits, atleast not before we introduce large scale irrigation in north kenya.
That whole area is dry. Nothing will grow there properly unless they establish irrigation schemes. The only farming that can work is Livestock keeping. In fact that Area has the largest livestock market in East and Central Africa. It is Called Nginyang.
A Great story Great video editing A Great script well put together. Good narration……… but (my two cents) trying to keep it purely English and minding your accent & pronunciation, that is greatly hampering the flow of the story (in short) kuna ka struggle kiasi. What if you just flow with the story, allow yourself to mix Kiswahili & English as the story goes along. Then the few ammm, eeehhmm, aahhh, will disappear. N.B I do not there are parts you spoke in Kiswahili. Just saying you just use mixed language from the start
The way the police are shooting it's going to take them long before they win this war, they are just shooting even without seeing the enemy is it that they are scared or they don't have enough training
I will not agree with you airing attacks on GSU camp on Kapindasum area, that is a ploy of stage management to one profile ethnic community, where was media personnels?so that you believe it was game, attacks happened unaware
Ooh my bad... I heard about it in 2013. I must have switched places of my first hearing. Thanks for your kind correction and support. Much appreciated sir.
Secondly you are totally ignorant of that place you are reporting on hearsay that even us know it's false like having mark is of past.which means you never went there but building your story on what you heard.
North Rift region is slowly becoming the Darfur of Kenya.
If not checked,it will have a domino effect on the rest of Kenya.
I just discovered this channel with the Aberdeer accident case. This channel is a real gold
Thank you so much for bringing this to the lime light. watching from Isiolo.

Fighting them back may not help much. These guys are like super trained police officers. The government should find a proper avenue of recruiting them into the Kenya Police Forces through the attractive salary payment, with that the Bandits can willingly present themselves for the jobs

💯💯true
Interesting but most of the story covers your image in a storytelling mood rather than giving actual scenes...my thought though 😊
Good thing to see East Africa Defence vehicles Made in Uganda...aka Mamba
SLDF was equally well organised... This one is a simple Job for the KDF
wild wild north
How can a developed country like Kenya...fail to deal with bandits????
You’re talking about some of the toughest most rugged “undeveloped” terrain in the entire world.
Sometimes press ask for demonstration from police reservists. To get what to post.
Its like they dont hav a will n a way to fight these bandits coz if they were quiping they cud head to haiti,,,thus why i international community were mocking us we cant even secure Nairobi.
did you shoot this video in murang'a
Ulitaka a shoot kwenu?
🔥
Why Government is not serious with bandits? It beat the logics if government can not eradicate bandits what happen if we will be infused by neighbours
what I see here is not just a lack of resources, these police units are undertrained, and just pull out more battle-hardened KDF in Somalia.
Great article, although instead of agriculture I would say what can solve their problems is proper mining....

We mostly produce *cash crops, error

Boss ASTU is under Administration police

The news we want
Both communities speak their neighbours language fluently,
A Great story
Great video editing
A Great script well put together.

Just saying you just use mixed language from the start
Follow ur story one by one
Poorly investigated but it's just okay
Banditry
That valley on min 26 is malaso area not baragoi
Make your storytelling consistent, begin with little explanation of the genesis of the conflict
CAN you give us history wich leaders in kenya has ever been arested and prosequeded and they are behind bars curretly
Get their Godfathers first.
You take forever to make a simple point 😢
They are human being
Until its heard👍🏿😢
That is Malaso,not Baragoi
Till nemba… hehe
Turkana and Pokot are human beings
apart from goodarticulated english you are a comedian
Thanks for watching my comedy basi
Buana instead of a documentary it has become a lecture..... Yawah
Politician playing game with security of the nation. Corrupt security officer also selling there own also
How?????????????????in the name of God
The disbarment lotiriri massacre is feared because it killed innocent civilians so it was a failure that government should compensate pokot
Why not go after politicians funding the bandits
You know right now yeye ni freelancer not like before he could be financed
lol a whole cs showing the country where bandits reside .. naskia aibu on his behalf,
his face shows how clueless he is
The way the police are shooting it's going to take them long before they win this war, they are just shooting even without seeing the enemy is it that they are scared or they don't have enough training
They surely don’t want to be there.the bandits have major advantage in knowing the terrain and blending in with the civilian population.
Those were locals( formally called kpr),that were guarding the school.
Eish.... sleeping
No one is stopping you a guy...
And then it has claimed the life of Our CDF ..
I will not agree with you airing attacks on GSU camp on Kapindasum area, that is a ploy of stage management to one profile ethnic community, where was media personnels?so that you believe it was game, attacks happened unaware
The story is below your normal standards bro
No vision, wewe tafuta likes tu
Historian. Lotirir is not a Turkana name but pokot name.😂😂
Very unprofessional. The mixture of English, Swahili, and Sheng is not appropriate.
Says who?
I wish you would give your narratives a more serious note and not present it as a comedy show.
Can I send you the definition of comedy ndugu?
FAKE , scripted!
Yep. Scripted by you. Thanks for watching
