    I was looking for what radiation is and i learned how to transport different radioactive materials.
    That's the most "documentary" thing ever

    So no actual explaining of what radiation really is...

      It's particles moving in a wave

      @@Master_Ed No quite. Electromagnetic radiation doesn't need a medium though which to travel. eg. light and heat from the Sun travels to Earth without any medium in between.

      None stable nucleus releases these 3 types of radiation, like a lamp does, but invisible to the eye ( ultraviolet)... these radiations Gamma damage and distort ADN and every living organism... sounds dangerous!

      @@joekd7519 you are exposed to radiation everyday. it’s not just about alpha, beta, or gamma rays, it’s about how much radiation DOSE that you take in. on average, a regular citizen is exposed to EXTREMELY LOW amounts of radiation from the environment that can easily be repaired by the body. if you are a nuclear powerplant worker, you are exposed to higher doses of radiation, but that amount is not harmful either. you just have to be smart about your actions, like sitting in the sun for too long and getting a sunburn; if there is a material in your house that causes your radiation dose to go up, remove it immediately.

    Still haven’t told us exactly what radiation is. Just how one transports it.

    I'm kinda bothered by how he pronounces the word "beta".

    Hi sir/ma'am
    Please can I use your video in my video explaining ?

    To radiate. Heat, light, radio waves, and ionizing quanta

    Yeah I still don't get it. All through middle school, High school, and the 6 years that I've spent watching videos about radioactive materials; I STILL don't know what the fuck radiation is. Can someone put this shit in baby words for some of us? I don't mean treat us like retards either. Just explain this shit simply.

    There are 4 different ("Main") Sources of Radiation. Not three. You listed: "Cosmic, Terrestrial, and Medicine"/Man-Made if you will. You forgot Solar. Or are you just lumping that together with Cosmic? :P

    • @Phobos_Anomaly
      @Phobos_Anomaly 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      IceMaverick1986 My guess is that they are indeed lumping it together with solar.

    Why is radiation used in agriculture ?
    Oh yes , it is in a need to know . . .

    • @paulanderson79
      @paulanderson79 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Irradiation of food with gamma rays to eliminate potentially harmful bacteria. Plus heat and light from the sun which enables crops to grow etc.
