As someone with kids under 11 this looks fucking perfect to play together
Just dont use that language near them
3D design can be confusing for the child though... I woud just play some 2D games
Very good call, this would be brilliant to play alongside your kids.
@@WorthABuyreviews while shouting at them "attach the fucking hose ffs!!"
@@Tubeinnitthat's me shouting to my boy, "wake the fuck up" 🤣
I want to be able to play the Riftbreaker in the 1st person POV.
That would be cool
I just bought it based on your review. I didn't even know about this game until I saw your video. Thanks for what you do!
I've been really overwhelmed recently, and I've been craving a 'safe' game. Maybe this is it! I thought it was Valheim until a troll came outta nowhere and smushed me! 😢
Best part of the game was them fucking me ip for the first time
Take care buddy, find your peace
Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen.
With a sprig of Deep Rock Galactic coop or Stardew Valley on the side.
Mental health day, let's go 😊
"Planet Crafter" all the way mate! No threats on Relaxing mode, & you get to Terraform an entire planet using your creative engineering! Check the reviews, & you'll get instant _VIBES!_
have you tried my time at portia?
Genre: comfy
Genre: digital work
@@Cenot4ph This. Digital menial labour.. no thx
Ran across this last night and was really caught by the chill nature people said it has. Glad I bought this. Looking forward to playing it on my upcoming weekend.
Love, Death + Robots had an episode where some farmers in mechs on an alien planet fought against swarms of giant bug things.
I swear that's this game's inspiration but family friendly. It was a good fun episode though, in fairness.
Great show
I would also swear that's 100% the inspiration
more like The Riftbreaker
"Suits" is the episode and yeah, I was thinking the same damn thing! :D
i wish we had a Lost Planet 4 that was made by the crew that made Lost Planet 2.
Yes! LP3 was such a disapointment
og Lost Planet was cooler despite its rough edges.
Not sure if I heard him mention but it will be on xbox game pass so if you wanna wait for the early access to progress before paying full price, could be an option
Is on game pass now
When Kenshi, Mack?
Yes we are back!
@@mablesfatalfable6021 Mack promised to do it every year since it came out. We have to keep reminding him
This, but unironically.
wait for kenshi 2
@@mablesfatalfable6021 He sometime do retro reviews.

I can't wait to play this game!
Gather resources, build things, research to gather better resources to build better things, personalize the aesthetics of the instrument that allows you to perform tasks... or don't. In the most unspecific umbrella terms to allow more games to fit this descriptor, this is all I want. A progression path presented in an aesthetically pleasing way, without feeling like I'm racing against some imaginary timer either in form of resource scarcity (where the compulsion is to progress to a more readily available resource before it's too late to do so), or some arbitrary gameplay mechanic to keep a bar filled (hunger, fuel, whatever).
I'm sick of the convoluted game mechanics of ONI and co. - never built a rocket, not because it's complicated, but because it's absolutely tedious -, so I've been looking forward to a game like this where your progression isn't bogged down by weaponized tedium. I do not even miss the survival elements, they are a compulsory do-or-die chore you need to perform at regular intervals to stave off a game over scenario for a period of time... no thank you. This is why Sons of the Forest is my favorite survival game, everything from starvation affecting health to structure damage from enemies is an option you can toggle. And for the most part you only do combat if you go to places with enemies.
Folks, this is more Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon with 'mechs than it is MechWarrior or Armored Core. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing. For $20, I'm considering it for something different.
I do wish there was something akin to the mine in Stardew where there was minor/optional combat. Non-optional danger would ruin the cozy vibe, I get that, but an abandoned facility with rogue bots that you could go into for some light combat would be cool and analogous to Stardew. Nothing that would come after your farm, but something you could engage with at your leisure.
Still, this might be fun. I can always boot up MW5 or Armored Core 6 to go pew-pew with a mech.
That being said... an open-world mech game (with combat) does sound pretty great. Elden Core? Armored Ring? get on it, From.
I wouldn't have played this game if it wasn't because my wife wanted to play coop. The mech is really well implemented and I haven't had any performance issues.
There doesn't seem to be much in the way of Triple A games coming up but that's probably a blessing. 😂
Well three £50 games drop this week and am doing two of them.
titanfall hippie edition
I think that the devs should at least have an option to turn on hazardous environ encounters. So then you get hostile wildlife etc and the ability to build base defenses if you want that flavour.
I swear, the farm mech looks so much like the Stormcrow from Mechwarrior/Battletech I am instantly sold.
I was hoping for this game to be like the episode from Love Death + Robots S1:Ep4-Suits
Mack--Helldivers 2, my man....What happened? Play it with your friends--it's a blast. I know you don't like 3rd person but I hope you give it a shot 😮
Maybe a DLC in the future to add in that combat/defense option? The idea of having to build defenses and defend areas sounds a good optional option 😉
Looks like slime rancher style game but without slime
A mech without at least medium lasers will take some getting used to, just as a concept.
Ive played this now for over 2 days and dispite my absolute hatred for the grindy crafting mechanics, im truly inlove with the peaceful atmosphere of growing ur own crops as you watch the sunset on a beautiful alien planet as its raining, the water droplets and streams running down ur mech windshield really help the illusion and the audio of thunder off in the distance jst seals the deal.
Its spectacularly comfy if thats ur type of thing!
Ive jst bit the bullet and bought the game after playing those few days for free* on gamepass, cant wait to see where the developers take it❤
An episode from "love death robots" was a perfect framework for a game like this. Farming and mining with alien incursion defense.
no mans sky clean up detail lol
Not sure this is for me at the moment, but I can definitely see why people would enjoy this type of game
Wish a game based game on the Suits episode of Love Death and Robots would come out.
Reminds me of that episode from death love robots with the farmers on the alien planet.
I was hoping this would turn out as that one episode from the first season of Love, Death and Robots. Would have been awesome
Mack got a serious Mech abuse!
lol yeah
I hate cleaning my own flat, you expect me to pay money to clean a virtual planet in a fookin game?
Maybe try House Flipper then? lmao
Can you rebind keys finally? The demo did not have that feature!
the visuals of this game are amazing, very nice
Hey Mack, are you planning on taking a look at the new Terminator RTS game? It seems to have been well received on steam. I have been looking for a good terminator game.
Definitely gonna give it a go, looks nice. Shame Slime Rancher 2 didn't add coop. With these kind of games coop is absolutely a must!
Tiny spoilers
After you open that big door stuff happens u can then go to the island in the top right that has recorces on it u didnt have acsess to before but u dont have to clean it. and thats kinda it for now. the area in the top left dosnt get unlocked as of yet and the game kinda just ends at that point. i mean u can carry on but there wont be anything new byond that point so might be something u put 20 hours into then put down till it gets updated.
It is nice to have a more relaxed game.
I hope this is gonna be a good game I’ve played the demo and I enjoyed it. So I’ve pre-ordered the game a month ago.
This Chanel gets you a real review.
Im Interested in this Game. it looks cool.
The UI looks/reminds me of that outer worlds game
How about some areas that you need to go for better resources could have some danger..
Sorry mack, but I dont think this is the kind of game that will get RTS base turrets and flamethrowers. It might get automated flower planters and cat petting robots instead. lol
I might be in the market for a chillax game...here's a comment for the algorithm.
Review the Solaris DLC for MW5
You are after all, the Mackwarrior
Want a mech day? Play Titanfall during the day, build and paint some Spacemarine Dreadnaughts in the evening, and play Lightyear Frontier for a chill weekend.
Mack please review The Saboteur. Gem of a game!! Was just released on steam after 15 years. Give it a go!
This looks like the kind of game I need cos I've been having a bunch of really really bad days....
It gets to me every time that Mack can upvote something like this slop but dislike dying light 1. All over with the taste lol.
Mining and grinding?
X box games pass, gave it a go and loved it.
Kind of sad... Has anyone else noticed on Steam, the release date (aka today) was removed and it now just says Coming Soon?
This game would ROCK with 6 AC/2s. 😮
Another I played less than an hour before reviewing from Mac
I thought the gameplay loop was starting to get a little boring around clearing about half the zones. Everything end game just kinda felt cheap and limited. Perhaps when finished it’ll be a little better.
I could see it being a good game if you are playing with a young one a total game newbie so it does have a niche imo.
1st thought was this was a Disney game about Buzz & Woody's forbidden love....guess not.
Great game. Thanks M'Dude! If need coop players!
Nice, and it’s on gamepass I believe, will certainly give it a go.
2:34. 🤣🤣
i wish we could make the ui not have the the mech screen frames in it.. id rather that be gone and not in my face all the time
Not my type of game mack but thanks for reviewing it
a very basic cozy game is what i thought! fun but need major improvements the ai voice needs to be less the inventory needs and overhall if 4 people were playing then each has the roles 1 player farming another gathering one planting trees and flowers and another upgrading hope that is how it would work. its so chill probs to chill
Lemme guess… it was humans who were on that planet before…
Hey Mack. When are you going to take a look at Spacebourne 2? It's just had it's v4.0 update, where they've added RTS elements.
You blimming love mech games mack.
My body is ready for your Dragons Dogma review... 😜😜😜
It’s Harvest Moon.
Not sure if it's really your type of game but I hope you'll review Dragon's Dogma 2. Very interested to hear your thoughts on it
I played it like it but not bugs to go boom boom 😮 i need a mingun vroom vroom in bugs lol
If there are no microtransactions on day 1 I'm not BUYING! I demand all my games have pay to win mechanics. My strategy is to demand the inevitable to avoid disappointment lol
Chill Rep and Bank
Mack, review Outcast 2: A New Beginning!
Why does Mack sound like he's having a stroke when he says chill chill chill?
Could be interesting, but only 2-3 Games without killing stuff could keep my interest for more then 1 hours in the last 20 years, so eh.
You can refund any early access game regardless of hours played on Steam as long as it is still in early access
For anyone who wants to try it but don't want to spend on it
A comment for the algorithm.
Any update pn the Steam hack? How it happened
Build it, back, better. Lmao 😂😂
Are you going to WAB popular now games like:
Outcast ll - A New Beginning
Winter Survival
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
Powerwash Troopers for you, sir?
it has a lot of potential but it lacks depth.
kinda like slime rancher
Actually it doesn't need to be worth a buy as it is available in Xbox Game Pass (also on PC)
dragons dogma 2 is it WAB?
finally, the titanfall playerbase gets something
I'll wager when all the door lights are on the door opens and you go through into a new area...and do it all again.
The perfect game for when you take WAY too many edibles.
i played this coop with my 8 year old girl, it's fun at start but after a few hours of playing in the weekend it's getting boring fast.
2:35 do what now
A mech game without combat? Wtf?
Green New Deal.
looks kinda like slime rancher
Mech Astroneer
I ain't gettin' in no mech that doesnt have guns.
when your day job isn't enough and you need digital labor...!! haha jk
2:34 wait what?
Excited for your dragons dogma 2 review, worst launch of a AAA game I’ve ever seen, got to pay to customise your character, and no option to create a new character, plus fast travel locked behind microtransactions, and terrible performance!
This reminds me of that one short from love, death and robots
Looks a bit like No Man sky.
Algorithmmmmmmmm
