And it is Les's self indulgence that we have all grown to know and love. I've been listening to the man since '93. He hasn't ever let me down artistically, creatively, and musically. He may not be a classically trained François Rabbath, however, but his lyrical adeptness and his storytelling skills mingled with his bass wizardry and sheer creativity make up for it and have kept me coming back year after year.
That drummer is awesome. I think his name is mike Dillon. I saw this tour live and at one point he played a xylophone and a drum set at the same time. He’s a true percussionist.
ThNk u. I remember showing some ppl primus back in middle school and this chick saying u need to listen to real music cuz this isn’t.... knowing this was the days of Ricky Martin Britney *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys... which she loved of course in 5th grade what girl didn’t but still Fu for not having a sense of diversity or for me something relatable to my life but more so my head. I was actually given pork soda by my teacher who would drive me home since we were neighbors and she was a wild child for a middle school teacher but bless her heart for being the coolest person ever . Ms witworth.... not related but no one knew I was close to my teacher as a family friend. Has anyone called a teacher by first name in class? Her eyes got so big and nervousness was pouring out of her
Holy shit! I think I just saw the first debate where all parties disagree but didnt resort to children. Kudos to les fans for having some intelligence!
How did he find a Chelo player that plays so wacked out like he plays the bass? Watched them on Kimmel and they were incredible. I want to go fishing with Les!
@b phillip doesn't really tie in. Very different music very different musicians very different technique. Listen to les playing it's completly different. It's like he has a different style for each project.
@b phillip yes it is but that's not a reason to say that they tie into eachother for me. They have factually nothing really to do with eachother. Different to a point where most of his side projects are completly different genres. Also Primus is heavily based on experience that Les and Ler have together. Ler takes a huge influence in the Primus style while les himself described some of his side projects as his specific ideas that he simply needed people to perform. And alot of cover work aswell.
Just because they say that it's not a song in the lyrics doesn't mean that it isn't a song. It still meets the definition. It is a composition (that is, some things arranged in a given space of time) and it has singing in it. That's pretty much it. Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't make it "not art" or "not a song." I think this is about as far as I'm going to go to try and explain this.
its a good song, you have to listen to the music and then say something about it, its that unique les claypool style with all kinds of music influences, thats cool!
yes! one of Les favorite bands is the the residents.. Les was in a movie and he was wearing one of the residents shirts in that movie!! The residents are awesome yeaa
"She believes Trump won the 2020 election She believes the Democrats run a child trafficking ring, She believes God will save her, Instead of the dreaded Covid Vaccine Bow de de bow bow"
I'm so the best. Read the comment below. "Even I was a Wonka fan. So, at least your still smoking. *smiles "and other fans getting jealous. Yes .. well, don't cause I'm such a pretty picture. "Gosh, I hate a tattle-tell -daid it for him. Lol! "She even got the long John. Lmao!
Claypool's talent needs to be recognized. I listen to college radio stations that almost refuse to play Les's music..even with Primus. Thats fucked up.
@MissGravesBlogs hard to tab his stuff out haha most of it is on upright and acoustic basses also les claypool is a beast so its hard to find whats hes doing
this is a great vid but i loved seeing them live with the oddity faire in philly on march 27 at the electric factory. was a high point of my year so far. LES IS GOD!! LIVELONG FROG BRIGADE!! BRING BACK OYSTERHEAD!! SAME WITH SAUSAGE!! GIVE ME SOME FANCY!! PRIMUS SUCKS!!

This is terrifying and awesome at the same time.. That's Les for you!
That drummer scares me to this day
I mean yeah, if you woke up to him playing bongo and just staring at you in the dark
That drummer is awesome. I think his name is mike Dillon. I saw this tour live and at one point he played a xylophone and a drum set at the same time. He’s a true percussionist.
What I love about Les is that ,more than anything he plays for us freaks.

1:44 it’s my favorite part because of the face Les makes and the cello part.

Claypool = Masks
This is pure genius. bow bidi bow bow... fancy band kicks ass!
I can't handle this high art.
This just seems like something that could be on a Tom Waites album! Bloody Brilliant!
Yeah, Les writing songs with political messages is nothing new, he's been at it a decade or so.
Besides, it's funny.
Great to listen on shrooms

Absolutely amazing, love this song and everything off of the new album! Keep these great tunes a comin!
Holy shit! I think I just saw the first debate where all parties disagree but didnt resort to children. Kudos to les fans for having some intelligence!
I saw this live on Tuesday. The dude playing the cello freaked me out. He had this evil grin the whole time.
Awesome show!!
11 years ago! I saw a show from this tour also. It was amazing!
strings look too thick for a cello.
cant get enough of this song
Hello. We are the Avant Garde. We've been waiting for you. Come, take a seat. Here's your duck.
How did he find a Chelo player that plays so wacked out like he plays the bass? Watched them on Kimmel and they were incredible. I want to go fishing with Les!
You just want more of the same!
Les Claypool does not confine himself!
He expands his mind, literally!
How is it possible to love a band, even when they suck so much...
nah this aint primus

They’ve got weird lyrics vocals and stuff but they are groovy and funky
How is this bad lol
Thank You Les!!! I can just never get enough of guy. Just hope hes coming back to San Diego soon!!!
If any of you haven't heard this whole cd yet check it out. There are some great covers on it !

Better love story than Twilight
I have never found a song that I have hate-loved as much as this song.
The Tom Waits is strong with this one.
great job les very innovative
its a good song, you have to listen to the music and then say something about it, its that unique les claypool style with all kinds of music influences, thats cool!
Yeah why don't you just shut ur trap bruh! 🖕

@@101rocketguy .....yeap ..take care rocketguy....don't burn up
Just opinion but, if this happens someday the earth tears appart:
Bass: Les Claypool
Guitar: Buckethead
Drums: Brains
Vocals: Serj Tankian
Just sayin'
Claymot eh I would keep les on bass and vocals and have Serj come in on like when there needs to be singing. Les isn't a great singer he's an vocalist
Just go listen to claypool's bucket of Bernie brains. Serj would in no way fit their style imo.
Danny Carey on drums.
oh shit les and serj, yes
That’s a good group
good stuff. sam bass has the coolest cellos ever. bow buda bow bow.
love the art. great song
love the new stuff!
Oh Claypool... His genius continues to astound me.
LES YOU ARE THE MAN!!!
OH yeah... nice cello and tablas as well.
Well, this never gets old...
Love it
Les is God.
Brilliant.
I dont understand... but all of les claypool's music is timeless!
This was awesome in Knoxville :D
Bow ti ta bow bow ti bow bow
Les is awesomeness
Flippin' Sweet! Les is a masterbasser! Get it?
Haha.
Genius!!!!!!!!
For the most part I agree, but Frizzle Fry is about people getting wasted at the Barrington Hall frat house.
Nice video dude.
Music Like having yoga n acupuncture at the same time. Na this song rocks
Shadyvito! How'd you know I played D&D? The fact that I know how to spell? Wow your powers of deduction are fantastic!
My first ❤is back
You either love this song to death, hate it with a passion, or are super confused about it. Those are your only options.
First time listening to it I was pretty confused...but I was on acid too so explains a lot.
Love it to death. I listen to it monthly
beatifull!
'Tiz sick......
Les is the MAN
Genious.
Here in 2021

The Duo De Twang version is so good 😌
Bam Divi Dam Bam !!!

Les Claypool rocks!
Bow bidi bow bow bibidi bow.

good bass player
~!! BRAVO !!~
I know the gent that made the masks for this video! Just got one off of him too.
And who might that be? Asking for a friend of course...
Such a card, you are, Les
lyrics can play a huge role depending on the song... some music is strictly for your ears' pleasure, some is made to make you think
awesome
funny thing is he doesn't like your political views and would not lose sleep if you stopped listening to him or buying his music.
well said
@MissGravesBlogs hard to tab his stuff out haha most of it is on upright and acoustic basses also les claypool is a beast so its hard to find whats hes doing
One of his idols growing up was Tom Waits.
yup
I sensed it...This guy must be listening to The Residents...oh well it just means he´s a freak with good taste! :)
is it an unpopular opinion to like the duo de twang version better?
This chune makes me wonder what a blue state gal consists of....TEE HEE HEEE..
this is a great vid but i loved seeing them live with the oddity faire in philly on march 27 at the electric factory. was a high point of my year so far.

Same, Saw them Sunday (Calgary show) He looked fucking scary
How to murder a cello and sounds epic. The song:
No, it isn't actually. Sam Bass is on the Cello.
Mike Dillon is on the Tablas.
Anyone here in 2020 watching the votes still coming in?
Low Desert Biker brought me here.
