Used to live in Manchester, TN where Bonnaroo is held and got free bracelets/tickets. Saw Les Claypool a ton of times there, but this was by far the best performance.
very very good...........................................................................................................................................................
it makes me so happy when he sings 50 cal. this video was great. it seems like most of the other stuff was improv. he prolly didnt even know he was going to be singing 50. cal until les started in with the bass line for it.. haha
It was so hot that day, my first bonnaroo, cant imagine wearing that get up and playing. Dust ball of hot wind, i was soaked in sweat and dusted in dirt.
i was at this show. in my mind it feels like he used a different bass for every song. anyone else there remember how many times he pulled a different bass out?
There's stories of pleasure...there's stories of pain..there's stories of pig masks and electric bass
I can't get over how cool this is and how casually they deliver this badassness.
This world needs more people like Mister Claypool...
@@gunslingerfire OK flying frog.

Plus MIRV
@@cyberhatter Indeed.
No, there’s the perfect amount of Claypools. More would make him less awesome.

I watch it a couple of times per day and it never gets old!
@@paulbreault4513 Me too!
I was there
mirv is underrated if you ask me
This beat is slamming. Great tune to blast on your car radio on your way to work. It's better than coffee.
I blaze this song on my way to work all the time 😂
Even better WITH coffee!
Me: listening to this downstairs...
My Wife: WTF are you listening to ?
Me:
oh you're so witty
I woulda said...." Mind your business devil woman"!!
Feels like yesterday I was in the crowd watching this live!!! Can't wait to go back next year for my big 20th anniversary of my 1st Roo!!!
Best version of this song ever! Never gets old!
the best
Trust me. Yes it does!

@@colonelofrky5065 You know it brother, he'll get old and forget. But we will live on to remember. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
imagine going to a classical musical school to learn cello and end up in a place like this. seems like a dream
what a sitiation!!
I did go to a classical music school, and I’d love a gig like this.
@@macleadg HARD SAME!
Imagine your name is herm
Bonnaroo was a bad ass experience that I treasure from back in the mid to late 2000s. Flowers, PCP,shrooms, Christina Aguilera and Claypoole.
I used to live in the town Bonnaroo is hosted and would get free tickets every year. This was one of the best sets out of the 4 years I went!
Manchester, right? I went to Roo 03 04 and 05. The town folks were all super cool the years I went
This performance was a highlight of Roo 08. It was so good live.
The Cello man rocks.
Used to live in Manchester, TN where Bonnaroo is held and got free bracelets/tickets. Saw Les Claypool a ton of times there, but this was by far the best performance.
All the tracks they did together at Bonaroo are so enjoyable.
I wish I could have seen this.
Absolutely the coolest version of this song Les! Love you music, sense of humor ♥️
I never can get enough of Les Claypool! Fabulously creative!
MIRV is a fucking great performance. Miss em with Les.
best show i've ever seen, still come back to listen to it all the time.
Still one of the sickest fucking tunes , even after all these years...
I agree!
I agree!
I agree!
never heard .50 before, and this is a second for rain, but it was a flawless transition
this was my first time seein claypool. the whole set was badass
Les Claypool best bass player ever
James Hatfield aproved
I agree
Palo is a real down to eath dude. He has a great personallity to be as popular of a drummer as he is.
I love that insane MADNESS , when it's in control , Less Claypool is a Stuper Geinious , 😬 , one of the best , ...
Now this is experimental and alternative!
Magistral gestion du groove, mental à souhait!
Les Claypool is a mad genious.
Man this is just one of my favorite songs ever
same here. I never heard this until last week and I can't stop playing it.
Mine too. Then and now
Remember this song
Dude holy shit this is so tight 😂
Did anyone else notice that bow twirl at 3:14?
It was pretty cool, right?
very very good...........................................................................................................................................................
Doesn't get any much better , this gem , while absolutely wasted. Love it !
Awesome quality!
Seeing Claypool live with Gabby Lala was a special treat. (Nice gentleman)

Everything works with the drummer, set the beat, Les would be great all by himself but both together is Great....♥
it makes me so happy when he sings 50 cal. this video was great. it seems like most of the other stuff was improv. he prolly didnt even know he was going to be singing 50. cal until les started in with the bass line for it.. haha
1:04 air playing an electric double bass... Don't see that one often.
Is that what she was doing? Lol I couldn't tell this music got me excited 🤣
I would have to say that Les claypol is one of the best Bass players in my generation I'm 56 and he's definitely not one demential
This song is awesome. Love It.....
Mind blown.
The rain during MMJ was shitty but Claypool melted my face off!
the best part is this whole video!
Good stuff. Another favourite of mine is their rendition of Thela Hun Gidgeet. Les completely destroys the bass solo
coolest sounding cello ever.
Fine example of out Crimsoning the Crimson.
2020 still here
It was so hot that day, my first bonnaroo, cant imagine wearing that get up and playing. Dust ball of hot wind, i was soaked in sweat and dusted in dirt.
Slappy Slappertone McNonsense! The unsung Gods of music.
These guys rule!!
this is amazing!!
Paulo Baldi
Funny. My memory of this day is almost as fuzzy as this video.

@bucjason Sam Bass does indeed rock, you should check out his work with Deadweight with the same drummer here, Paulo Baldi
Epic!!
Claypool owned. He knows it.
Primus are so cool
6:55 ADAM JONES in the front row!
Yes Les is awesome, but could we please focus on the cellist for a minute? I mean,GODDAMN.
I think its the guy from the band "Deadweight. Saw them once years ago, and he absolutely ripped!!!!
Does Les Claypool eat drummers? This is a serious question!
2:47 buckethead's brother in the audience
What a fuckin jam
that pig mask is really very funny.
RIP Ron Roach. AR

Cool
Les: I will play with the weirdos! 😂
Can't turn this up loud enough.....
And here we are in 2024. Where oh where have all the bad to bone musicians gone?
Les is still touring and making music. Every big band from the 90's through 2000s came through town this year.
They're around
