Here is the phrase you mentioned and it's meaning At 19:06 "Softly, softly, catchee monkey", this old Engllish proverb means that if do not rush or if you avoid being too hasty, then eventually you will achieve your goal - in other words, be patient. It is an Ashanti (Ghana) proverb quoted by Lord Robert Baden-Powell, Founder of the Boy Scouts.

I am glad you showed the cow that started bleeding once you pulled on that detached hoof horn. There is nothing wrong with posting the truth and you have a great job that has real results that affect many lives both animal and human in a very positive way. By all means show us the raw clips, I know I come here all the time and am watching your older videos in reverse order just to see new content that I haven't seen yet. Instead of your watchers focusing on the bleeding, they should imagine the amount of relief the animal gets from your work. I have tried to watch other hoof trimmers and honestly you are the best I have seen. Please keep them coming.
I think the name Felix would be great for the coo. Not only does the name mean "happy" or "lucky" and your videos bring so much joy and happiness to all of us, but the name is a lucky omen so the coo is then your lucky charm. Also, in a fandom meaning for the name, yes if you've seen Wreck It Ralph, I'm sure it jumped to mind of "Fix It Felix" and you help fix the lives of all the adorable animals you trim the feet of. Both of the ways of viewing the name (meaning of the name and fandom view) tie together bringing you and all your viewers and your adorable clients together with the adorable coo plush.
Oh !! That poor cow. Thank you for helping her. I watched Craig's serious face.... 👍 great to have someone who cares as much. Consider yourself very lucky to have him. Great job and great job to you Craig 👏 👍 Bravo 👌

You look fantastic! Love your new hair cut and beard trim. I enjoy watching The GP, always. The video was amazing. Hope you all have a most wonderful day. 😊
I grew up on a small farm. My dad had Hereford cattle along with a vegetable garden. I've never seen hoof trimming....not sure if I was too young or it wasn't of interest to me. Great work you guys do and I see it's truly needed and appreciated! I really enjoy watching your channel.
We were talking about toutube at work the other day and i brought up your videos and a 27 year old kid (im 44) said "yea i watch him to, idk how i got to his channel, but i love it!" We bonded over hoof trimming lol

Been watching you for quite a time now, from living in that small town, parking the crush in that tiny driveway, lots of maneuvering, and setting off in the wee small hours singlehandedly. Then you added Craig, who was so shy at the beginnings and is now so confident, with his driver's licence and loads of experience...and his fitness. Kevin is developing well, too. Obviously his bad back got a lot better. I'm so happy for you and your family. Life had handed you a lot of lemons and now you have a lemonade factory. Congratulations! I absolutely love these videos I've been watching the channel well over two years and I absolutely love the fact that your not picture perfect so to speak and that you admit it. I do also love when you discover a problem especially when it's not obvious right away and that sometimes when you get a explosion of either pus or the red stuff it looks bad to us but to you you've just discovered the source of the problem and relieved the cow of the issue potentially
Please, please Ask Mrs GP where her cute dishes are from! I adore them and am coming to Scotland soon and would love to purchase them. I’m from Colorado😊❤❤❤
I'm a city gal though very interested in "nearly" every aspect of agricultural life. I grew up in Chicago, Il. On the way to my grandparents' home, I saw a pair of bovine mating. I asked my dad what was going on- his answer was "He's helping her breathe". I've not gotten that picture and explanation out of my mind in over 60 years! LOL! Whoever invented this machine is likely a millionaire by now. It looks much more efficient than the old way of doing hoof trimming. Vets probably use this method too. Very humane and so fast!
Honestly, I'm surprised the cows don't bleed more often, just with how inflamed and angry the lesions are. You're so careful with them, but every time I see how bag those hooves are underneath, I cringe in pain for them. 😢
Liked the idea you interact all day as you sort how to deal with trims. The clocks, of trimming discs, are a good idea. Best wishes on the bull's progress.
You're the third person I've heard say "Softly, softly, catchee monkey" in 60 years... The other two are my father and I. Must be our Scottish ancestry.

Charolais are such sweet babies. I miss living in the country. I miss cattle. 12 years of city living and I still don't fit in.
Just watching this video and i may be wrong but i cant help but to think that when you see these cows have these serious issues that it hurts you to see these cows have to go through this but at the same time you have the thoughts that younare doing everything in your power to help them....your a great guy Graeme and you have a good crew.
I second the name Felix. That suits him well. My child agrees too.
i fw this so heavy vro
12:48 I love the curious cow in the background.
This isn't just a father, son, duo. It's a best friend duo enjoying fishing at their favorite pond. Love you guys.❤
It's brother-in-laws having fun while at work, trimming cattle hooves.
Oh !! That poor cow. Thank you for helping her. I watched Craig's serious face.... 👍 great to have someone who cares as much. Consider yourself very lucky to have him. Great job and great job to you Craig 👏 👍 Bravo 👌
I could watch you guys trim cows 🐄 get all day. It's so calming.
I would suggest Parkurbutt for your mascot that you glued to the dashboard. Enjoy your vacation in Spain!
I agree. The plushy should be called Hamish MacGregor.
Poor bulls, they are so huge they need 6 legs! At least they'd be able to walk comfortably. They are so awesome!
Thanks for devoting your life to caring for their footsies.
I loved the opening had me laughing what a beautiful family
love from Auckland New Zealand
We were talking about toutube at work the other day and i brought up your videos and a 27 year old kid (im 44) said "yea i watch him to, idk how i got to his channel, but i love it!" We bonded over hoof trimming lol
12:22 the way you guys talk to each other about the hoofs reminds me of the way I talk to my coworkers about colour in the back room 😂.(im a hairstylist) It’s definitely the same thing, everyone is different as a cow would be.
Crack on and I'm wishing you well!
Kind regards to Ashley and Craigs and Kevins wifes: Running the background works they are doing an amazing job, too.
As an engineer I absolutely love the idea of repurposing your disks as clocks ❤
Oh, it looks so sore. Thank you for helping them. ❤ and thank you for sharing your life with us. 😊
I can see it now, Graeme goes to trade in the truck in a few years and has to apologize for the bovine stuck on the dash 😂😂😂😂
Craig is looking jacked! I love this whole group! Wishing all of you health and happiness! Also I love protein bars even if they have some less ideal ingredients ❤
7:38 Craigy looked at the camera as if he was thinking he had words to say that weren't appropriate for the camera 😂😂😂😂😂
You chaps make it look so easy ....we have always done our girls ourselves and i know that smell ...im a bit ott with our girls feet ...ive got em in crush as soon as i see a limp ! Must admit ive never had any of my cows with foot problems as severe as the ones ive watched you block ...
You do a great job ! Well done chaps !
BtW ..im an old farmer girl and been handling cattle for 45 yrs. My whole life is cattle and im really enjoying your vids !
Stumbled onto this Chanel, now I can’t stop watching, I find myself getting excited when a new episode comes out, love your humour in such a serious job, you definitely love your job and provide such a needed service. Well done to all of you
Seamus. Your mascot is Seamus. Only name what popped into my mind. Love from the PNW of the USA.
Such a great team and always makes me smile with the banter😂
So glad you helped out this poor creature
Thank you for the musical intro. Always love it. And thank you for the care you give these animals.
Thank you for taking such good care of these love,y ladies!
Cleaning the crush between jobs is also important to keep any potential sicknesses from spreading between farms.
He said that.
You were teasing Kev, but my thought was: isn’t it great to see Kev bend down like that!!!
"Scotty" The Mascot!
I love your kitchen!! The wall with refrigerator, oven & microwave is brilliant!!
I think that a good name for that sweet cow on your dash would be Milkshake.
Anyone else see the coffee mug by the wall as they pulled out?
Maybe that is where the headphones are?

Mascot suggestions:
I.O. Dean
Cam (dashcam)
Jeep
Hamish the Great
I. R. Baboon! 😂
I actually really like I. O. Dean, it’s clever
Oh, good! I was watching the first upload and it disappeared! Now I can finish it!
True
Mine said cannot replay at this time... I'm F T Chuck... 😂
Same i was 10 min in and it vanished
@@manuela1711I too was 10 minutes in when it disappeared! We must have started watching at almost the same time!
Honestly, I'm surprised the cows don't bleed more often, just with how inflamed and angry the lesions are. You're so careful with them, but every time I see how bag those hooves are underneath, I cringe in pain for them. 😢
he seemed so upset about it too :(
Any one else spot the coffee mug @3:23 that Graeme lost the other day?
Haha love your antics. Ash is such a kind beautiful girl, glad she keeps you on your toes. ❤
Liked the idea you interact all day as you sort how to deal with trims. The clocks, of trimming discs, are a good idea. Best wishes on the bull's progress.
Since you glued his arse to the dashboard, why not Elmer?
That's moovelous!
That's excellent since Elmer is the name of the bull that is the mascot.
@@elaexplorer Yep, he's on every bottle and stick.
Elmo!
7:21 Solid burn, Graham. 🔥
You're the third person I've heard say "Softly, softly, catchee monkey" in 60 years... The other two are my father and I. Must be our Scottish ancestry.
Hi Graeme, from France! One question and one suggestion for you: do you have à french flag and do you Still wants foreign’s fans flags? We would be happy to send you one^^ and for the cutie mascotte, we already call it " mini graeme" with my men^^
Thank you for your work and what all your incredible team/family are doing for those Lively cows!
We love your work, long live the hoof GP !
I just love your videos. I'm not a hoof trimmer but i do love watching the videos
