    What a great comparison video, thank you. That helps me out a lot. I'm surprised by my order of preference! I checked the video out on my 4K 32 inch monitor. From my least favourite to favourite:
    6 Victure AC960
    5 Brave 7LE
    4 Campark V40
    3 Osmo Action
    2 XTU S3
    1 Brave 7
    For me it was close between 6 and 5, then a gap to 4, then a biggish gap to the top 3, which I had close to each other. I did find it tricky to compare my top three because of difference in field of view. Maybe I simply preferred the Brave 7 as it was putting me a bit closer to the details I was looking at, with its narrower field of view.
    The XTU3 gave me the feeling of the most depth in the image - that jumped out at me and I thought it was the Osmo Action! The Brave 7, though, I liked the sharpness better and felt I could discern more details more readily. I suspect it's already been sharpened pretty strongly by Akaso (my V50X is already maxed out on sharpness for my taste).
    I didn't expect to prefer the Brave 7 to the Osmo Action. The Osmo has a bigger sensor as far as I know, and a more powerful chipset. But I had the Brave 7 top after not knowing which camera was which and it stayed top for me on closer review afterwards. I guess this means I'm buying a Brave 7. Thank you, I'd been on the fence about it or whether to spend more to get the Osmo Action. Could be the Osmo is better and it's just a personal taste thing with me.
    I can see some folks prefer the Victure AC960 and Brave 7LE, which were nice but rock bottom of these ones for me, so I guess our eyes all work a little bit differently and/or we are looking for different things in the images.
    PS you have a great voice that reminds me of a few folks who do voiceovers.

    That was an awesome blindfold comparison, thank you! You always do great reviews!
    I chose the XTU-S3 as having the most pleasant video colors, but chose the Osmo Action for having the best EIS, which is far better than any of the other cams'. The XTU is almost GoPro like with its colors, but when moving it around, even with its EIS on, it's nowhere as stable an image as the Osmo Action. I'm considering buying the XTU-S3 for my son to kick around with. $140 is still a pretty decent price. Thank you again!

    Thanks for the time and effort you put into the comparisons. I think the Brave 7 LE had the worst sun glare. I think I preferred the Victure the best.

    Hi - just watched your videos on the XTU S3 and really enjoyed your content. Very helpful so thanks for that! I've subscribed to your channel so I definitely plan to check out some of your other videos! I was just wondering whether you had any thoughts on either the XTU S3 pro? I guess if the S3 Pro is a real improvement on the S3 I would definitely consider picking it up for B roll footage purposes. I have also watched your videos on the XTU Max Pro and Gamsod 6K and have wondered whether they should be on my list. Of the 3 cams you have reviewed which one would you recommend? If you have any thoughts that you can share with me on this I'd be very grateful and any insights you might have on the S3 pro would be keenly appreciated. Again thanks for putting out such great content - you're a real pleasure to watch and listen to!

      I have not reviewed the XTU S3 Pro so I can't comment on that camera, but IMO the XTU S3 has a better overall image. Hope this helps

      Thanks and yes it does. I had pondered about the XTU S3 but at just $77 currently l did wonder about it! That said, If you rate the S3 over the other 2 cameras l mentioned (assuming l'm reading your response correctly) that is praise indeed and based on that l think I should probably take another look at the XTU S3 as a B roll camera! Thanks so much for your response and Happy New Year to you.

    I have the Brave 7 le and based on your excellent video, I am thinking the S3 is a good compromise, seeing how much the osmosis action has gone WAY up in in price and is no longer being manufactured... I am having trouble with wind noise while riding my bike. Any suggestions... Keep those videos coming...

    • @WORTHITORNOT

      Maybe use an external recorder with a lav mic that has a "dead cat" furry cover and sync audio in post/editing as that will get rid of the wind noise. Hope that helps

    It seems like to me that the XTU was half skipping frames in some of the shots, even in the driving one where it was most likely mounted to a suction cup mount. I do have to agree that given the price of the knockoffs vs the price of the Osmo I would save up and buy the Osmo. I have one and outside of user error (like not setting the shutter speed correctly for the framerate) I have been really impressed with what it can do, and I got mine last year when it was still around the $250 mark. The auto face detection for exposure would be nice to have on the Osmo though so there is that in this cameras favor, however I feel it is a bit much for not as much up side as the Osmo.

    Have you done a low light test with EIS on and off like you did with the Brave 8? I really like the contrast on the S3 far better than the Akaso cameras, which seem to blow out the highlights and wash out the shadows. At the same time I'm wondering if it does as well in low light vs the Brave 8 or if it'll be underexposed. Thanks!

    • @WORTHITORNOT
      @WORTHITORNOT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not as all action cameras really suffer in low light because of the size of the sensor and lens aperture.

    • @WORTHITORNOT

      Yeah, I suspect the price will drop again when they are just about out of inventory to clear them all out. When/If it drops again I will post up in the community tab about it.

    Pls, why dont you make a video, where you compare the best low-budged action cam (below 150 USD) with the best stabilizer and the best low-light of all low-budged cams, with the gopro 12 or DJI 4?
    For most of us action cam user with not a lot of money it makes no sense, to see the many videos on TH-cam, where low-budged action cams are compared to other low-budged action cams.
    Stabilizer and low-light quality is most importand for us.
    Thanks

    • @WORTHITORNOT
      @WORTHITORNOT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly the reason why I don't do those type of videos is because the GoPro Hero 12 and Action 4 would destroy the budget action cameras in every category.

    Hey there good brother, hope all is well, i have a little question for you, i just scored the "Keelead Action Camera K80 4K Dual Screen WiFi 5m Body Waterproof 60FPS 20MP" By the looks off that cam, it looks like a clone off the XTU actioncams, however i could find little to almost nothing about that cam, what i've seen op YT was okay, maybee you can take a look. Since you did so many cams already. I bought it to replace my broken Dragon Touch camera. Can't waith to hear from you, tnx in advance...

    Hi again, went down the rabbit hole and watched (liked & subscribed) a lot of your videos ... never heard of XTU before ... when I check here on japanese amazon (my location) I find an XTU MAX 4K 60FPS for around 190$ after coupon (the S3 is 150 after coupon) .. but I can only find Japanese reviews on youtube somehow ... is that a model you are aware of or is it maybe branded differently for the western market? I am actually / mainly looking for a cam that I can use to grab the best possible stills from video, so I keep circling back to the GoPro 10 ... also a bit of a brand loyalist there ... but then again, there are so many great budget cams... and my first foray was the SJcam 4000 (which is still working, despite my sweat corroding the ports) ... so ... open to good ideas :D Love your videos

      I have seen some reviews of the XTU MAX on TH-cam and seems like a good camera. XTU is sending me their new XTU X1 MAX which they say is their best offering yet so I'm excited to see what that one offers.

    The XTU colours seemed rather dull and lifeless to me! The Victure AC960 did quite well in that regard with its bright colours. (I have the Victure AC920, (with a couple of little problems regarding file access, file dating, and file storage problems, and no way to update the firmware to cure the problems!).
