  • DEWALT DCK277C2 Brushless 20V Max Drill/Impact Driver Set Unboxing!!
DEWALT DCK 277C2 kit for sale: amzn.to/2J2a9ss
I had the chance to unbox a brand new combo set from Dewalt, the DCK277C2 20V drill/impactor combo set and compare it to my older Dewalt XR brushless set which I believe is the DCK281 combo.
Size wise and visually it compares almost identical to my DCK281D2 drill and impact models but with some differences.
    The DCK277C2 includes the following:
    DCD777 brushless drill
    DCF787 brushless impact driver
    2x1.5 Ah batteries
    Charger
    DEWALT bag
You can find out more information on this kit at amazon: goo.gl/udyO1A

This was helpful because I didn't know they were made in China. The extra selling point of Dewalt for me is that Made in the USA sticker. It means a lot to me to support a company that has American workers building their products. I was very close to buying this set but will now look at some of their other American made drills. Thanks.

I was looking for some info about these kits, and I think this video was pretty helpful.
Looks like they are somewhat less power version of what you already have (part prices are generally bit cheaper than those old ones, while inside looks pretty much the same)
Dewalt doesn't have specs listed for those, but they are clearly for value market.
Since I need some lightweight compact drill/driver, I am looking into that drill now.
    * I just noticed yours is hammer drill... I thought it was DCD790.

Kyong Song Hi! My original old brushless was a hammer drill, the new one in this kit is simply a basic, brushless drill. Traditionally I use the impact the majority of the time and I quite like it. The drill does it's job adequately, it's not a workhorse but it does what it needs to do.

Can you please provide the battery model number for this kit?

John Wang hi, they're dcb201 1.5aH batteries. Decent to get started but you'll want something bigger of you're going to use them for an extended period of time.

Is it possible to use higher amps on this model?

As in 60v flexvolt batteries? Absolutely! All 20v and flexvolt batteries work. 12v do not.

Are the inch pounds identical between the brushless impact, and the XR brushless impact ?!

David Derfus Tough to say exactly. My XR is the older version and according to the DeWalt site rated at 1500 in-lbs. The 787 you get in the dck277 combo I unboxed in this video I can't find any info on. It looks like the new dcf887 and 888 jump to 1825 in-lbs if you want some extra torque out of your impact.

Mike Naus thank you, That’s why I was wondering, because this combo is going to be on sale for Black Friday everywhere, and I notice it’s not the XR even though it’s the brushless And that the new XR’s impact drivers are like you said 1825 in-lbs. so I was just debating whether or not I want to spend the extra money to get the XR. Thanks again for your quick response I appreciate it.

David Derfus I would say it depends on use. I personally use the impact once a week but mostly to install door hardware, sometimes to do some light framing. Not something that requires a lot of torque or power for that matter. I should note that this particular impact has never seemed underpowered for anything I've ever used it for. (the drill in this combo is only okay, I can tell it's leaving some juice out there but I only use it for applications where an impact simply doesn't make sense - drilling pilot holes or with spade bits is about all I use it for).

Mike Naus I think it will be fine for me then. I have a number of Impact Wrenches, so I am not one of those who uses an impact driver to remove lug nuts LOL
      Thanks again Mike.
