Considering what it looked like before it has come out really good.

Thank you so much! I am pretty obsesses with finding new ways to do stuff or a "hack". I've been trying to find new ways since I was a kid. More stuff coming...

Do you sell your furniture? I hope you do because you sure could. I love to thrift and upcycle furniture but it's a hobby. In my spare time I renovate houses (I live in them a couple years and then sell) so thrifting furniture naturally happens for me. Thanks for sharing.

I use acetone to remove painted furniture too if it’s a small project I spend a dollar at the dollar store. I found that if you place paper towels on the wood surface then poor on the acetone and then wrap with aluminum foil or Saran Wrap and let it sit for 20 or 30 minutes it scraps right off!!!

Did this have a poly on top that also go removed with the acetone?

I would try a blow dryer. Heat a spot and wipe with a towel or rag when it gets warm. Whatever you use to wipe the wax off, be ready to throw it away.
Depending on how much wax there is, if you have a plastic putty knife (you can use metal very carefully as to not accidently rip fabric) you can scrape off the surface and go over with a rag. Please let us know how this turns out!

I would have put paraffin on it set fire to it then colour it then varnish then sit my glass of brandy on it while sitting comfortably 😆

Surely this would be quite an expensive method to strip off a flat surface such as a tabletop compared to a sander.
    Good for edge detail though.

I agree for a huge piece, not economical. Great for edges, small pieces. places of detail, legs, etc.

Acetone does not contain alcohol. And maybe tell ppl to rub with the grain? You just repeat incorrect & senseless info.
