Thank you. I searched and searched and all I could find was someone replacing the purge valve only. The hoses on the CC had become so brittle that there was no chance to just plug and play. I just replaced the hoses and valve on my 2010 Volkswagen CC. I was about to dismantle the intake manifold when I decided I’d try one more time to find a good video and you saved the day. The CC is slightly different, but that little Phillips screw was the difference. I got underneath, took an extension and finally found it. To get it in was a beast. I had to carefully fold the hose to get it through to the front but it worked perfectly.
Thank you so much for this video. Genius! I just finished replacing this on my 2011 A4 Avant. Love the commentary and really hate their "genius" engineering for putting that screw on the bottom. I could not get it undone so had to break off the old connection in the end. Again, thank you so much for your efforts. Cheers.
Jesus this video has me laughing hysterically, I feel your pain and I don't think I could do this all the time; I'm trying to figure out a small evap leak on my 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro and so far just removing the ignition coils to get to my plugs (#4 barely has any room to grip or work in a screwdriver) has me feeling this. It seems like I did get rid of my cylinder 1 misfire though! 190k miles on mine, trying to keep her goin'
Im getting a p2293 and p12a4. Any idea what it might be ? I already swapped the fuel pump, Hpfp, fuel rail sensor, car drives fine just throws those codes
I broke the part of the purge valve that connects to the bottom of the intake manifold while I was removing the intake manifold. Do you have a part number for this replacement? 2012 Audi A4 2.0T TFSI Quattro
I have a 2012 audi a4 and lately when I fill my tank up with gas and turn on the car the next day it idles poorly and turns off, is that caused by a failing purge valve or something else?
Can I just replace the purge valve instead to replace all hoses? I can just disconnect purge valve from the hose. I have just code 456 small leak every couple days and car works fine.
I know but why to risk it to break something, leak is probably in purge valve not in the hoses. Thanks for the video, if I decide to change everything It will be very helpful.
Well the hoses are heat shrinked on the valve, so in order to remove it, you will have to heat the hoses, and take the valve out, and then do it again to put it back in... it not sure how the hoses are going to be after that... so that might be a potential leak there...
i know this video is 6 years old but can anyone tell me which wire (black with yellow and yellow with red) goes on which side of the connector? I somehow have no picture of them in the plug
What does this valve do exactly ? My car is running rough with a flashing check engine light. When I’m stopped it vibrates and when the car starts running fast the shaking decreases. Will this help? I changed coil pack , plugs, injectors, cleaned carb, changed pcv valve....
I’m not getting an error code. But the engine rpms surges around 40-45mph. And also have a vacuum suction on oil cap. Replaced pcv recently. 2006 Audi A4 2.0t. Do you think I should replace my purge valves?
Yes! I beleive so. I had the same code pop up on my a5 2.0t tfsi engine and I had replaced the pcv valve and the vapor canister purge purge valve and it did the trick
@@liamnikas2320 I changed it no luck I finally bought a after maket intake and it fixed it 🤔 weird MAF was brand new unless it was defective, but engine light has not came back it's been 3 weeks already

Thank you for the video! This procedure also works for the 2013 VW CC. The part is very similar. I also took off the air box to get better access.

You are a hero and I love all your Audi vids. Helps so much!
Thank You!!

Do u no where the purge valve is located on a Audi A4 b8 tdi caga engine 2010 as I can’t find it anywhere cheers
There are a lot of "genius" things done on the Audi, sometimes I want to put some gas on it and put on fire :)))
Amazing you completed this without removing the TB. Can the check valve fail that connects to the IM?

The Camera work is a bit better..you sound a little frustrated...But I think your a good Mechanic..you'll get through the Day...
If the valve tests good, what else can be the issue?
I trusted this video Just by hearing you’re accent
I replaced my pcv , high pressure fuel pump , & vacuum pump and p2187 keeps popping up. Anything thoughts of what it can be ?
Same here, have found the p2187 issue?

Do you know how much they charge to fix a gas leakage ???

Theoretically yes you can, but the valve comes with all the hoses ...

Which screw?
Do you think the vw tsi (mk6) is more reliable then the a4 tsi? 2009.
I think they about the same...
Where is it for a 2018 s5?
Do you have a video for us 3.2 A4 owners ??!!??
I keep getting a p0444 code for purge valve open. Is it stuck open? Do I need to do that test or reset something?
Did you ever get it fixed i have same code

You would need to check the codes and see what is the exact issure, what your describing sounds like a fueling issue and misfire
I not disconnect the part you disconnected to blow through. I’m afraid if it’s not broken it will be by the time I get this off

Vacuum is supposed to be there...
that’s normal, as for the rpm surge purge valve will not help, that’s something else...
Awesome content!!
Can it be a purge valve giving me a Intake Air system Leak? P2279?
It could be, but it could be something else too
What is the name of that parts that you removed?
N80 evap purge valve, it's a 2 wire solenoid valve
Could this cause P2187 and P2279? I change my pcv valve 3 times already codes keep coming back after being erased

It lets the engine suck fuel vapors out of the charcoal canister, to prevent pollution.

I had a slightly rough idle. It was the purge valve sticking open.
why not remove the intake manifold to get to it easier , while you at it clean all the intake valves. youll be more happier with the outcome.
