Oh my gosh! I'm 32 years old and always wanted to learn to french braid. After years of trying & giving up and many, many "easy french brading" tutorial videos NOW I get it. French braiding is so hard when you have thick hair, it goes all over the place! And my aching arm is not helping.

I have the same problem! my hair has to be wet usually to braid it and even then it's still too thick.
I tried to pony tail my hair once. Either it looks ugly or the hairtie breaks.

I can finally French braid my hair!! After several failed attempts, I had given up years ago. Now that my hair is really long, I miss having it braided so I decided to try again. After watching your tutorial, I was able to braid my hair on the first attempt!! It was a little sloppy, but I undid my hair and tried again and it was perfect! Thanks for the tutorial. I didn't realize it was so easy!!

I finally did it! After trying for two hours yesterday and my hand cramping, I Learned how to do it. I think the key is to not over think it too much. Good luck to everyone else learning!

You make it look so easy! I too have thick hair and I get all tangled and confused where I'm at then somehow start undoing what I've done. You do a great job explaining. Also yay for redheads with gaps ;) I have a gap too.

Just practice. When you mess up, look at the things you dont like at fix them. I used to not be able to either, but i kept practicing (and breaking things out of frustration) and now i can do it.

Thank you for this video! I just recently started learning to French braid my own hair at 31 years old after braiding other girls' for years (including my daughter). The tip to hold all three pieces of hair in one hand and switch back and forth is so helpful! How to add in the new hair has been the biggest struggle and that has made a huge difference.
