I’ve really enjoyed the Real Panzers SFX, it has this really amazing ammo cook off flame that comes out lf the hatches, and it is amazing, it works with most tank mods (like CUP and RHS and even IFA3) and the vanilla tanks. 10/10, 100% would recommend.

Hello Knightkin, I recently acquired the RX 6650xt GPU, which is exactly what I needed for an enhanced Arma 3 experience. I'm currently enjoying the game with numerous mods installed. The anticipation for Arma 4 is mounting, and I'm eagerly looking forward to its release.

got a rtx 3080, i7 proccessor, 32 rams, and a m2.0 and still running arma 3 on 30-50 fps, how can you run the mods then
@@Criseth Dude, you ran it on Server ?, because you have Beast PC right there, I'm running it on 16gb ram 3200mhz i5 125600k. and without SSD, I'm getting 60+ constant but sometime 50, or even reach 100, on 1080p everything is on ultra
and 120 mods exact! some are vfx and visual tweaks. FYI. something must be wrong there. i Mostly fool around in single player editor

Does the video settings mod fix anything with how the game uses hardware? I find that arma 3 don't utilise all of my systems hardware while Arma reforager does and has a smoother experience.
Unfortunately, nothing does. but there are some people trying to find a way to make it work. if they do find out I will share about it here on this channel

You Team has better special effects to do, these are explosions, smoke, fire, bullet ricochets, and shell craters. There must be a feeling that I really walk on the ground, and not on a plane. Arma 4 is going to run on a new Bohemia's own new engine - Enfusion engine.
Arma Reforger that runs on it already has far greater optimization than Arma 3 does
Haven't played reforger have you? I've played Arma since it was Operation Flashpoint, spent literally half my life (I'm 37) playing the Arma series.. Arma 4 is going to shit on anything Arma 3 mods can achieve, as good as these mod developers are the platform hasn't changed much since Arma 2 so they're limiting themselves continuing to make mods on that engine. Those lighting and weather mods are built into the base game in reforger, the radio mods too.. BI is doing good work with the new engine and all the mods currently in reforger are helping guide the path to A4. If you really care about the future of Arma you'll play reforger and continue to support development of it until they end support for it.. As a Beta tester of Arma 2 and an Alpha tester of Arma 3. I encourage anyone with plans of playing arma 4 to pick up reforger too, even if it is just a glorified tech demo and a 1:1 remake of the original OFP map, it's your chance to mould Arma 4 by giving them feedback in the tech demo. Just sayin' as nice as these mods are, I've moved on from Arma 3 as Reforger with no content looks and plays better than A3 with all its content lol.. Max graphics at a constant 90+ fps in a multiplayer PVP server and a new optimised engine vs A3 in all its glory capped at 30fps and all the limitations of it's 20 year old engine.. See you in Reforger

Haha yeah sometimes Arma 3 looks like a movie. Especially the Graphics RDLC. Unfortunately its not on Unreal Engine 5. Check out Operation HarshDoorstop for that.
I’ve been watching ARMA 3 gameplay for awhile and always wanted to get into it, I bought the game and played 3 hours and I wanted to play more but all the mods is overwhelming, this graphics mod makes me want to come back and try again, but where to start?

As an introduction to Arma 3 I recommend playing the campaign, just to get the basic grasp of things, after that I highly suggest you find a group to play with, since (in my experience) you're not going to go very far on your own, plus it is much more fun to play with your squad/platoon

A perfect colection of visual upgrade mods would be cool as a stand alone sepreat of the A3R as i and my group would be interested to have our game look like squad with our current mod setup
You can use this collection w/o A3R, though I would like to know why you are not using A3R.
@@nannertime As the units i play with prioritise realize mods and run full ace and kat, probably use a lot of the mods you have in A3R but never seen the fill list. and even if that A3R did work with all the mods we use i don't know if we would care enough to get the full list as we like to make costuom compositions for the unit that only take the bits we use for our mod line. keeping the mod line size down as much as possible. haveing 70gigs of mods when you only use 40gig of it is not ok for us.

No. Some of the mods require adjusting in game video options. and you have to load the mods in the launcher

If everything is brought to the smallest detail , you can enlighten the Gaming industry in the best light .But it will be better if you release a separate remaster of Arma 3 so that everyone's jaw drops.

is the realistic sound mod included in A3R?
The realistic sounds are in the Sounds RDLC. Why? because they take up several GBs and aome of those sounds are very loud and some people don't like that 😅

Damn, Arma already requires massive pc requirements, the reason why I was never able to play it until recently. I can't imagine this new engine.
Since this Graphics RDLC and Remaster is still on the same engine, its very lossible to play on max settings with minimal FPS loss

Arma 3 Remastered base is released. Its still being updated to. The Remaster DLC ACE and Graphics are released. The other RDLC still require updating and testing.
Thanks for the feedback. We can dig trenches using ACE RDLC. That reminds me there is a foxhole mod we might be able to use too. There will also be the Logistics RDLC which will allow you to base build (aka setup sandbag walls).
What do you mean by mods for landing and landing in equipment?
My next video will touch on destruction. There will also be a lot of physics improvements in the Jets, Heli, Cars, Tanks, and Realism RDLCs.

Yes. Between Ultra and the Max settings I experienced some drops in frames per second.

The Graphics RDLC does not need ACE. All dependencies are included in Arma 3 Remastered. Watch the video on ACE RDLC if you want to add Ace
for some reason i can't go past 20 fps with a fucking 6700xt and 8700k on 1440p, with low settings. i have like 20% use on both gpu and cpu....
Watch my video on boosting your FPS. Arma is weird and doesnt use all your hardware. Youre going to want to play on Ultra settings and follow the other steps I mentioned

GPU doesn't really matter in Arma 3. Its your CPU single core clock speed, amount of RAM, and RAM clock speed.
My game runs Arma 3 fine with these mods at 2k resolution and AI
@@nannertime Hey there, I have an "AMD Ryzen 5 5500" and a "Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 12GB VRAM OC Model GPU"(The 2nd best RTX 3060 12GB GPU that Gigabyte makes). My RAM is 16GB total of DDR4 3200 MT/s CL16 in Dual Channel mode(2 sticks of 8GB DDR4 3200 MT/s). I only run games at 1080p. I have a 1080p 144Hz 25in LCD IPS panel with 5ms pixel Response time. I was wondering if I really need 32GB of DDR4 RAM for running Arma3? would I actually see any performance? I thought having 32GB of RAM only really mattered in ARMA 3 if you were trying to run it at higher resolutions like 1440p or 4k. was I wrong about that assumption? I did hear from someone that if you have at least 32GB of RAM and use the TB_Malloc memory allocator, or whatever it's called, with Large Page Support Enabled that you would get a noticeable improvement in FPS even at 1080p but I cannot be sure of this. It sounded like it could have possibly been snake oil, or only offer very minimal FPS improvements that aren't worth the effort. BTW, are you a believer in using the "ARMA 3 Steam Performance and Profiling Branch" to help get better performance. I think it helped me, but i'm not 100% sure since i made a few other changes too. I have a "Ryzen 5 5500" Zen 3 CPU, a "Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 12GB OC" GPU, and 16GB of Dual Channel DDR4 3200 MT/s CL16 RAM (2 sticks of 8GB = 16GB total), and my Arma 3 in single player easily runs at 60fps almost constantly and that's with 6000 overall View Distance and Object Distance. in fact i sometimes get 75 - 110 FPS but at least 95% of the FPS are higher than 60FPS so I capped my FPS to 60. It stays there most of the time, however if I go over by the capital city of Kavala on Altis and there are a buttload of A.I.'s and people and can sometimes go down to a lowest FPS of 37 - 45 fps but not always. also i use the "ARMA 3 Steam performance and profiling Branch" and I also use "Process Lasso" to up the cpu Priority to "Always High" and under "CPU Affinity" I Uncheck The CPU "Core #0" to get Arma off the First Core. I also use "PIP: Low" setting, and use "Water Reflections: Standard".
View Distance is Probably the biggest issue when dealing with arma3 performance optimization/setup. If you are only going to be on the ground(Not Piloting Aircraft) then you can turn your view distance fairly low and most likely won't notice. i wouldn't put it lower than "Overall: 2700" in that case(unless you can handle more) with objects set to the same(2700) or mabe try object distance at a number closer to 1/3 or 2/3 your Overall View Distance. play around with the settings a bit. I hope I was of some help to you or anyone else. 🙂 Good Luck with ARMA 3 and Have Fun my friend.
BTW I'd like to add that I use a Gsync/Freesync setup with Vsync: OFF.
I also forgot to add that I used Process lasso to make my Power Performance Plan change to use "Bitsum Highest Performance" whenever i Play Arma 3. It makes all the cores run at maximum without parking any of them when they are inactive. it's basically like an even higher performance option than "Ryzen High Performance" or "High performance" Power Plans. Just watch the Temps on your CPU. I have mine Watercooled with an AIO. also never leave that bitsum highest performance power plan on at all times. make sure it goes back to something like "Ryzen Balanced" or "Balanced" Power plan when you shut off Arma 3. Process lasso should do it automatically if you set it up right.

Yes. The Graphics RDLC is designed to be used all together on top of Arma 3 Remastered.

Hahaha yes! Actually its better to play on Ultra settings for most people because Arma uses less CPU and more GPU then when on low settings

Ironically, I'm currently working on BettIR! I've got a loooong promised update to finish, but it will completely change the mod. I've been also making a high-fidelity F-16C for Arma with a team, but we currently realized a major part of the cockpit has to be completely redone, so it set us back. Apart from that just been doing some smaller projects, like an Izlid mod or some addon's for Karmakut's milsim unit. Been a busy time, lol
Definitely feels like spinning tires when balancing several projects at once.

The arma3 game engine is so old, it is going to cancel your supermachine with 4090RTX. It needs an overhaul before anything else needed to be done
Haha true. There are a couple of modders trying to fix the single core cpu problem. I will let you know if they successfully complete that project.
@@nannertime For now. prompting it on a console to force it in multithreading is the only thing. I never understood why you would program a game to use the gpu, which will throttle with the cpu sharing the workload. dumbest thing ever

yeah that's not surprising. that's kind of an old card from 2017. I would think it should be good enough for vanilla. your CPU is probably the real issue. But with these Graphics Mods you probably would need a better GPU as well. i would recommend the "AMD Radeon RX 6600" (for around $200)(it gives similar performance to an RTX 3060 12gb but is much cheaper than the 3060) or if you can afford it an "AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT" for performance thats somewhere in between a 3060 12gb and a 3060ti but closer to the 3060ti but at a much cheaper price as well. Keep in mind this is only a GPU recommendation for Arma 3 (in 2023 and later)

Cool video, but outside of ArmA 3 still looking like shit, adding all this bloatware on top of it will make any good mission run like absolute garbage for anyone involved. Reforger is a step in the right direction in that regard.

graphics mods are all well in good but what about mechanics? specifically, movement. if you really want to change the game, changing the movement is how thats going to happen. because right now i think the massive problem arma 3 has is its player controller and how terrible it is. Arma 2 was bad, but it was much better than this. like the fact i can turn on a dime as fast as my mouse does while standing still. Why? atleast Arma 2 had mouse deceleration to do something to address this. thats just a very obvious example of what i am talking about in terms of "movement".

but why am i bringing this up? well seeing as you spend alot more time with A3 mods than i do theres a better chance you know of a mod that does this or even better if there isnt one you might know a person who would has the ability to make one and pass on the idea.
Arma 3 Remastered (A3R) base preset is what you need. It contains the movement mods you are looking for and comes with controls that are compatible with the mods and RDLC. the controls are also modern.
I also made a video on movement mods awhile ago when I started the channel.
You can use A3R which fixes the mouse speed for the aiming deadzone. You can turn on the aiming deadzone, which would force your to move your mouse a tad more when aiming. You can also just lower your mouse sensitivity.
The Realism RDLC comes with a mod called AD Spam ZigZag killer that also limits movement to be more realistic.
This is just gonna make the game lag, stupid idea.

@@nannertime Of course it will run fine for you when you have an expensive PC with all the best parts on the market, most people don't have that and hosting normal operations on servers is already often laggy for everyone so adding all this crap would make it unbearable.
"Real Lighting and Weather" - Twice installed and twice had to uninstall this mod, This mod should be called - "Unreal Lighting and Weather", because, it just adds bugs to the game. This mod will make the illumination of the full moonlit night, the same as during the day. This looks unrealistic. The player even without NVG will be able to see one kilometer ahead, while the AI without NVG, still not will see beyond 30 meters! Mod will give the player a terrible imbalance , because on any given night, the player will gain an huge advantage over the AI. In addition, the possibility of making cloudy weather completely disappears, when the entire sky is covered with clouds. Player will see cloudless sections of the sky, anyway, even if you don't want it, even if you changed the settings to maximum cloudiness.
Yeah, that's why I don't use it in the Graphics RDLC anymore.
