I’ll tell ya, ladies, and gentlemen, since I’ve started watching Ron, and his crew, I’ve really learned quite a bit, about the laws of physics and how much geometry has to play in these situations!!! As well as, the mechanical advantages of the way he does things!!! His professional demeanor with his crew, and customers is a testament to his FAITH in GOD!!! I would like to say Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to Ron, and ALL of the Midwest Towing Family!!! Stay SAFE and GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! I’m a truck driver, myself, and even before I decided to start watching the different documentaries on Towing Families, I had a LOT of respect for tow truck operators, but seeing the different scenarios that they face, has REALLY opened my eyes, and amped up my respect for them and their SAFETY even more!!! I would DEFINITELY ENCOURAGE every young person, who goes to get their license, whether they are just getting their license for the first time, or getting a CDL, to watch these documentaries, and use COMMON COURTESY, and COMMON SENSE, when you’re out here on the road!!!
I really like Oscar, he gets really involved in the work, moving fast to get things done, he watches thins & notices things while job is in motion, he doesn't stand around or moves slowly, keep doing a good job Oscar
The guys that got themselves into that mess were in no position to be annoyed by anything you might have to do to get them out of it. If it was necessary to drive on their fresh asphalt to get into position to rescue their truck, that would be on them.
Oscar really is great, eager to learn, to help, and to listen and absorb all of Ron's knowledge. I wish I had the opportunity to do this job and learn from Ron.
That is just about the prettiest dump truck I've ever seen. Glad it went well. To that driver, been there done that. To Ron and crew, as always, it's the problem solving that keeps me coming back. To all Merry Christmas!
That is a pretty du mp truck. I like the flag on the tail gate. Super Trucker Dan has a Peterbilt that same color with a big sleeper on it. He has that flag like that on the side of the sleeper. God bless you'll ✝️Dan🇺🇲
Dad always told me to "Keep 'er between the ditches and don't let 'er get away from you!" He let me back his semi to a dock in DC at 13! I was scared to death at the time. I am only 4' 11.5" now! But by that age, I had already been driving dump trucks (Dad taped wooden blocks to the pedals so that I could reach them), tractors, cars, jeeps, and pickup trucks. Good times! Why was I even on a run with him? Because I would throw a fit and sometimes even cry if he said he would not take me along. Thanks for letting me ride along with you guys!
Ron I just love watching you come up with a plan of action and how you ask your Employees what they think not many Bosses include there Employees. Great Job to you all and may God continue to bless you all
I really didn't get the concern about the asphalt. The guy on the big roller knew he could fix it. They guy on the little roller... well, there's a reason he is on the littlest machine on site. 😆
Once again, you guys come together so smoothly as a team and get the job done and make it look so easy. I can also say as a formal heavy, Towing and Recovery Operator that this job is definitely not easy and always has a challenges, but always managed to work around those challenges in certain situations that we are base with just like the ones you guys are faced with on a daily basis, especially this one. Glad to see you guys had a successful outcome. I always like to see a really clean and shiny works Dump truck. Clearly to me from my experience that means the guys that operate this dump truck show pride in their work. Along with your crew as well.
In the end it was kinda easy considering: 1) There were no power lines above you. 2)There was no traffic beside you, Except the roller. 3) It was not on it's side, or in a gully. 4)It was not at night. You could see everything clearly. 5)It was not raining! 6) And no one got hurt. Another great job by Ron and crew.
@@scottcarpenter6443 I believe Ethan has a license. They used a drone in a two-part video from four months ago: "IN THE WATER FOR 5 YEARS!!! PART 1, THE RECON MISSION..." and "PART 2. RECOVERY & CLOSURE. IN THE WATER FOR 5 YEARS!!!"
Amen ! I agree not a slack down and Oscars body! He’s a ray of sunshine that’s for sure! Great job Ron, Oscar, Ethan and Ethans helper! I’m slow typing and couldn’t get back to see if I could find him in the transcript. Thank God no one was hurt nor serious damage to truck! I’m watching this one on Dec. 22, 2024 from Buna, TX! This is my favorite channel!
Good morning and happy holidays Ron and company, I'm with you about rolling on the asphalt rather than getting stuck in the ditch and still having to roll on the fresh asphalt anyway after getting unstuck.
Teamwork and patience got that out. Oscar is very focused, and I think Ethan was absolutely about right when to stop pulling the back end of that fancy dumper truck. Oh and A** for reversing and not messing up their tarmac Ron. Have a blessed Christmas everyone.
I think y'all got a heartfelt "'tar' very much" from the customer for getting that wagon out of the ditch!! Not the easiest of jobs, but not too big a challenge for the team, but plenty big enough. Well done all of you. Wishing you all a joyous Christmas, with peace and prosperity for the New Year! Greetings from the UK and God bless.
Ron the camera is showing enough to the extent that (1) having the knowledge of Towing & Winching this situation is quite critical because of where the load is & where the truck is located. I know you with both Trucks are going to get it out of the ditch and back on the road. 😊 My Father Taught me Towing and Winching . 😊 God Bless you and your crew for they have learned well from you.
Ron I love your videos. I was having a rough day this morning but your videos truly make it better. I love how your always positive and it reminds me that no matter what I may be going through it will get better.
I had a similar thing happen near Manhattan Kansas, when i drove big trucks. Took an exit ramp off of I70 and parked on the shoulder. My passenger drives and steering tires ended up dropping off the concrete. It sunk badly due to a very soft shoulder. My left side steers and drives were about 4 inches off the concrete, i gave up trying to get unstuck by myself. Heavy tow drivers are ROCK STARS!!! They saved my a** from a turned over truck. No extensive damage other than to the passenger's side fuel tank.
Guess the guy had a choice, you could have driven off saying 'call me when it's cured and can take my weight if you're that fussed about it buddy' 😊 Excellent work Ron.
That was a tough one for sure Ron, but you got it done with no damage to your vehicles & minor damage from what you had to do compared to what was already done when it slid off the road & backwards. It's a win take what you can get. Still an awesome job by everyone involved. You did what had to be done to A. Get there safely, and B. Get the job done as safely as possible with as little damage as possible.
Great call by Ethan and great job by everyone involved and also glad that beautiful truck has minimal damage also glad no one was hurt and everyone was safe. Everyone at Midwest truck family and all viewers want to say merry Christmas and happy new year to all 1:15:18
Kinda makes you wish you had a second rotator. Once again, though, you were able to rescue the customer with the tools you do have, safely and efficiently. Great teamwork. Stay safe and healthy, and Merry Christmas to you, your family, and the Midwest Truck crew.
Hey Ron iv recently discovered your channel and I’m in love with it iv watch at least 2-4 of your videos each day and I’m getting worried I might start watching to many and then have none to watch (Ill rewatch them all)
I am going to jump on Oscar's fandwagon 🙃 as well. He does damn well in thinking ahead. I think Ethan made a good call to just get 18 unhooked there at the end. Well Done Midwest!!
The look of the tail end of the tail gate of the dump truck all most 2-3ft drop on the passenger side with the weight on the tail end. Ron I can see it in your face this is a stressful one when you don't have the room and space. But sometimes, you will not get much lemons but use what you have and the space is given. Like you said. Little bites is all it takes to get it done. Even if you like to get it done in less time but this one you have to take your time with it. There are easy days and some there are hard and rough days. Your doing great with the team, keep at it.
Another outstanding job by all. Thanks for adding the comment that Ethan was right and made a good call. That was a tough one but mission accomplished. STAY SAFE OUT THERE Team Midwest Truck.
“This is probably the nicest, cleanest dump truck I’ve seen, so I’m worried about scratching it”. I’d be thinking the same thing 😂 but good job guys! Definitely a tricky recovery, with technically no pavement to use outriggers on. Also liked the rare appearance from the drag winch on the ‘Tator!
Awesome job Tator is huge and needs alot of room to turn around corners great job on trying to avoid the new asphalt but you gotta do what you gotta do great job all MIDWEST CREW
This is one of those jobs that it'd be great to have a skid steer with 3-4 foot spikes that you could shove into the ground to anchor it and a shackle mount in the middle to redirect off of. You could have parked it right on the shoulder on the other side of the asphalt and pulled straight sideways on it. Headsets would've been good too. I can't believe how soft that the road base is, around here it's all crushed basalt or packed decomposed granite that they use. Could you imagine how much easier that would've been if you had two rotators?
It's funny in the end you did it the way I thought was best from the start . i was saying guys bring the front end up on the road and drag it out securing the bed from rolling any further Anyway good job you fellers got er done
Ron and Ethan and Momma Pratt I want all of you to know how much I and my wife Love Your Content and wanted to Wish you and the staff of Midwest Truck Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

That was a great recovery for the position you guys were in and the way the truck was but for you guys to be in front of that truck and not outside where you could get it out that way great job, Ron and Ethan and everybody else
I drove a 10 wheeler tanker for an environmental company and had to do a job at an old abandoned farm house to pump out a 1000 gallon In ground fuel oil tank. I asked the contractor doing the demolition if there were any dry wells on the property where the tank was located he said no and I had him sign a waiver stating there wasn’t. Well as I was backing the truck across the property where the contractor had marked area to drive the truck sank into the ground into a dry well. Two big wreckers later and a massive bill to the contractor who wasn’t happy. I was laughing quietly.
Great job, everyone working together and getting t done. I cannot see why they get mad cause you might have to get on the new road look at what they did.
Ron, a great team effort. Oscar is a keeper. It was a very awkward job.May I thank you for all your vids posted this last year. I appreciate your efforts and have enjoyed everyone. A very happy Christmas to you all at MWT Best Wishes from the UK. Roy W
Awesome job Ron and Ethan and your alls crew great team work that could've been a lot worse glad you had both trucks there to work from both ends ! Having the right equipment ! God Bless and Stay Safe ! Merry Christmas to you and your family and all your crew and staff !
Maybe Ron, just a thought. Try to listen to other people's thoughts and advise. As you seen with Ethan, sometimes they are right. No, I'm not upset about anything but your videos tell so much. Good job again and as always God bless.
Verry funny. The guy was having a bad day but what did he expect you to do? He watched you being so careful but you had no choice but to let the tires hit the asphalt. I would have offered him the wheel if he thought he could do a better job. Oscar wastes no time in jumping in the job to find if there is any way to get a hold of the truck. He is amazing. Great job. This was a stressful one just watching it. You are a man who really knows his job.
Pavers can be a bit too attached to fresh pavement. It's MEANT to be driven on. If a 30t rotator compresses it better than the compactor, you need a better/heavier compactor. Ron never has a "bad day" (on camera :-)), but I know plenty of tow operators that would tell them to get it out the ditch themselves (with far more colorful language) and leave.
Ron thanks for another amazing episode of rescuing the truck!!! It always seems like rigging is the most important part of the job and takes the most time!!! I’d like to wish you and the family and entire crew a very Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year 🎆🎊!!! See you in the next amazing adventure!!!
I've really been impressed with Oscar. He pays attention to details. He was very proactive looking at every angle. Great asset to your team.
@djburris1961: Thanks for putting in words what I was thinking! Oscar has so much potential as a heavy recovery operator! Fast learner as well.

Oscar really is great, eager to learn, to help, and to listen and absorb all of Ron's knowledge. I wish I had the opportunity to do this job and learn from Ron.

Your man Oscar is a roller-looks the situation over-then gets to it. Bravo!
Oscar is quite the asset. Man he was all over that truck looking for options for rigging.
Ill say this much, oscar likes his job and he is always on it. Keep doing what ur doing oscar.

was my thought too.😆
It should just take a little more hand work as they come back with the second pass

Ron, maybe you should add a drone to ROTATOR'S gear, so you could send it up and see for yourself,
