I never ceased to be amazed at the predicaments that professional drivers, farmers and neophytes find to halt their plans and when all seems lost, along comes Ron. Great recovery.
The groaning you did when you picked the length of chain out of the box brought back memories. I still have some of my towing equipment from back in the day. It surprised guys when they grabbed the 1/2" chain and had to drag it. I miss the work but I'm satisfied to watch the videos from home.
I agree that kindness is universal. OUR Father in heaven wouldn't want us to be any other way. Very aweaome recovery as always Ron. Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
"Oh, Oh, Oh!" Is what I was thinking as I see you pulling up to the site. Narrow road, on a ridge and needing to pull the patient uphill. This IS going to be the challenge.
I guess Ron's neck hurts from having us all ride around on his head, so we get a different angle. Its actually kinda interesting to be the vehicle being pullled.
Thanks Much Ron. Your pull had me thinking ? You had a 2 Part line on the Drivers side a single on the right. We had a hit & run Murder of a Tow op local to me on Christmas Day...... They caught the perp.... Mike M.
Ron is making Tator jealous by playing with the new truck poor Tater but awesome job on doing the recovery and being safe hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and hope you have a HAPPY NEW YEAR can't wait to see what 2025 brings your wsy GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Ron, I think the front end of truck needs an alignment and reclock the steering wheel. It should be at 3:00 to 9:00 O'Clock. It will prevent premature wear on steering box and tires. Great job at keeping truck from going in the basement 😊. Happy New Year.. Bob from North Idaho.
Ron, At 10:48 i watched you do something that scared the living daylights out of me. You casually walked across your untensioned winched cables while they were attached to the load. Wow! I know your job is dangerous but I also know how safe you like to be. I also know how much I enjoy watching your recoveries and want to do so for a long, long time. I was at a 4wd recovery when a man did thus exact same thing. AT THAT EXACT MOMENT, the vehicle being recovered slipped back down the hill, tightening the synthetic winch rope. Lets just say he urinated blood for a couple of days, but it changed the way I do recoveries. We came to realise what a dangerous thing that could have been, and we wede only recovering a 3 metric ton 4wd. A dump truck on the end of a wire rope slipping could well slice a man in half! PLEASE, RON, BE SAFE OUT THERE. WE LOVE YOU AND WANT YOU TO BE MAKING MANY MORE VIDEOS TO WATCH!
Another outstanding job completed. Ethan Star looks good all lite up in the not so bright light of the day. I have been in a situation like that with a loaded flat bed with lumber. That is a tough pull even if the motor did run for the steering and air purposes. STAY SAFE OUT THERE.
Originally from Missouri, Ive been in Texas since 17 years old. I really miss the beauty of the state of Missouri . Your videos really take me back. Really enjoy all the rural sights. I grew up along I-70 and Hwy 19. Montgomery and Hermann areas. Thanks! Stay safe out there brother Trucker! Thanks for all you do!
I imagine everyone watching this on TH-cam to be that kind of kid growing up that when they saw something like this going on down the street from their house they would be right there watching the whole time.
I have just stumbled across your channel surfing the tube for interesting things to watch. I can say I was delighted to see this. You are without a doubt a full professional. I know nothing about heavy recovery, but even I said to myself that chain aint gonna be sufficient. Thanks for the entertaining video Ron. Subbed.
Hello There Mr Ron Pratt Sir & God Bless You & All Of You're Whole Family & All Of You're Whole Staff As Well & I Am Still Praying For You & All Of You're Whole Family & All Of You're Whole Staff & Everyone That Is Involved In The Automobile Accident
Wow. Always know it's going to get interesting when Ron has to drive his big truck through the residential area. Great recovery. What you want to bet they were trying to snag that bucket out of there with a pickup truck?
If I remember correctly, they stated they had attempted to use the mini-ex that was sitting at the top of the property. Thanks for watching and God bless.
But I noticed that Ron has yet to fill #18 with every conceivable item like the rotator is. The box where the wood block were replaced was noticeably empty.
Hey Ron, may I ask if you’d ever consider making a video on you reorganizing one of your trucks? Checking the straps/endless loop slings for tears and showing what’s acceptable wear and what’s not acceptable wear and should be tossed? Thank you. Merry Christmas and hope you have a Happy New Year.
The rotator in my personal opinion would have been better suited for that job as yo could have pulled from the side and you could have stayed upon the road ! But as you not knowing the situation to begin with and you went there in the new Wrecker I understand you had to work with what you brought ! Good job as always and very professional ! God Bless and stay safe ! Have a Happy New Year !
When you were trying to pick the axle with the lift at the end, could you have pushed the outrigger on the left side of the truck down hard to angle the truck to match?
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas unfortunately on Christmas eve a tow truck operator lost his life helping a disabled motorist. He was hit by minivan and the driver never stopped please send prayers out to the man's family.
Matt you need a headset radio system. I watch Ron Pratt at Mid west Trucking who has a headset system that works well. You need one. It would take a lot of frustration out of your job. Awesome job , awesome video.
I never ceased to be amazed at the predicaments that professional drivers, farmers and neophytes find to halt their plans and when all seems lost, along comes Ron. Great recovery.
Ron, this was a real workout, both for you, and for the heavy wrecker. An old school recovery, without the rotator. Thanks for bringing us along.
The power of positivity and a big truck with hydrostatic winches.
How come you didn't have to disconnect the drive shaft
@@tonybevilacqua2266 They did they just didn't show it in the video. If you watch the whole video without skipping you can hear them talking about it.
@@tonybevilacqua2266 He didn't show it.
Nice video and nice to see the new truck in action. A rescue without any additional damage to the rescued! Thumbs up!

Steering wheel alignment would drive me NUTS!
I was thinking the same thing and this is also on a what 4 month old truck. I wonder whats messed up.
I was literally just coming to ask how the wheel could be that far off on a new truck 😅
Simple fix. Also, some people like them being "off" Not sure if Ron set it that way, I skipped to the actual pull.
Love these videos. A heavy tower myself. These videos teach me on how to do things. Great content
I agree that kindness is universal. OUR Father in heaven wouldn't want us to be any other way. Very aweaome recovery as always Ron. Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Great way to start the day. A good cup of coffee and a video with Ron and Ethan
I forgot what day it was, then I saw this video. Always a pleasure to have videos from Ron Pratt.
Ron you all amaze me every time. Great job getting that out.
"Oh, Oh, Oh!" Is what I was thinking as I see you pulling up to the site. Narrow road, on a ridge and needing to pull the patient uphill. This IS going to be the challenge.
❤️the tow cam view 😊
When a customer says we gotta stop meeting his way , now that’s funny anywhere
I guess Ron's neck hurts from having us all ride around on his head, so we get a different angle. Its actually kinda interesting to be the vehicle being pullled.
lol this is a good one!
You heard that he said that he discovered his helmet cam wasn’t on when he thought it was?
😂
Nice to have a different view.
Through the magic of buying two of them….
Ron, it was a bad pullout. You two had everything right. Great job to both of you
That camera angle from the Mack’s bumper was nice. Like to see that again.
Absolutely. That was cool
Thanks Much Ron.
Your pull had me thinking ? You had a 2 Part line on the Drivers side a single on the right.
We had a hit & run Murder of a Tow op local to me on Christmas Day...... They caught the perp....

@@RonPratt Ahh, I missed that part.
Awesome to see everything bright yellow and brand new in those lockers. Not even broken in yet.😂
But I noticed that Ron has yet to fill #18 with every conceivable item like the rotator is. The box where the wood block were replaced was noticeably empty.
Great video, that wasn't a good spot to park a dump truck... Time to replace the truck.... 😮😅
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE
Ron you and your family and Crew have a great and wonderful New Year's Day! And everyone else that is watching, don't drink and drive 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
That was a big one the job looking good nice work Ron 💪 👍👍👍👍👍

I enjoy you video guys
Keep up with the good work Ron
Nice video. I always enjoy those videos with more than one point of view.
Another award winning recovery!
Hope you had a Merry Christmas!!
Ron, when you were stepping over the cables I was waiting for the "Pratt fall". Glad you disappointed...haha! Have a Great New Year!
Cool shot from the cam attached to the front of of the dump truck.
I am just curious how much more does, if any, the rotator weighs compared to this truck.
The rotator weighs around 72,500 lbs. This truck weighs around 45,000 lbs. Thanks for watching and God bless.
@@RonPratt O okay.
Good job Ron 👍
I was freaking out about the extension cable running Infront of the truck 🫣
Love watching your videos on TH-cam God bless
Merry Christmas, Ron.
Thank you for Christmas

Another outstanding recovery video. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I now it's later but merry Christmas to you and family plus staff
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Nice work Ron and Ethan! Merry Christmas to your family.
Listen to all of your “old man” groans. 😂😂😂😂. And Ethan is so grown!❤❤❤
Whenever I see some of these I can't help but think "how did they manage that?".
Different prospective I like it
The brakes on that Mack sound like a bunch of rubber chickens in a exhaust pipe LOL
👍
I was wondering who showed up to supervise 😂
Good morning from COLD New Hampshire
I (we) wondered why no pic of the truck. Now we know. Great job again.
The rotator in my personal opinion would have been better suited for that job as yo could have pulled from the side and you could have stayed upon the road ! Fun camera angles!
mmmmmm!!😵💫

Man I was hoping to see the Rotator in action oh well I do love both # 11 and 18
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas unfortunately on Christmas eve a tow truck operator lost his life helping a disabled motorist. He was hit by minivan and the driver never stopped please send prayers out to the man's family.
Sad to hear.
May their memory be a blessing, more so at this time of year.

Easy reduce👍👌
It’s too bad your helmet camera was not recording. Would have love to see that one come out of its hole. Thanks for another great video.
Merry belated Christmas ron ps i see these rigs now daily as i live along us460 and you dont realize just how big the tator is in these videos
At first view your steering wheel needs adjusting one spline to the left or the tracking is out! - - - Best wishes to all the Midwest team.
owner of the company you have great guys i see it be there teacher for the guys in the field RON everyone knows you
automatic push the gas pedal it go's Ron can do it magic man
These jobs take longer than you would think. This 1 probably 3 to 5 hours.
Man it's a damned shame that Freightliner/Western Star don't offer steerable drive axles, it'd make maneuvering in situations like this a lot easier
Very different camera angle I like it. Could you have used the back how to help pull it out?
