I would unironically love to see a comic series where Carnage tries to become more of an anti-hero, quenching his thirst for blood on other psychopaths instead of innocent people
Well, Carnage has the right idea in the end, but maybe not for the reason he expects. He uses classic hero logic at the end there, but in his case, he should act alone because no one else will see him as a hero for quite some time. He’s just getting started.
He clearly has some of that DNA and definitely knows Spider-Man I’m gonna guess this carnage is the offspring of the venom that used to be with spidey which would pair up pretty good with him saying “ur friendly neighborhood carnage”
He imitates Spider-Man in almost every way in this comics: Gwen Stacy's death hommage in his flashbacks, reporter as his love interest, quote about Great Power, quote about Friendly Neighbourhood, constant jokes/funny situations and etc
I blame that stupid lady for him going back to his ways. If only she had held true to her word, even after villains reverted back to evil, he'd still have that shred of good in him. But nooooo We can blame her for Absolute Carnage and Death Of The Venomverse.
@@thewrathfulsloth2384 Exactly! Why did she have to go and do that?! Sorry if I sound whiny but... but... HE COULDA BEEN SO COOL AS AN ANTI HERO. Don't get me wrong, he's cool already, but as a permanent anti hero... wow

Carnage/Good? An odd mix but a unique one. I am glad that the fact that the reporter was not genuine with helping him be a better person that it didn't revert him to go back to his evil ways. Great stuff as always!
The tone of this story to me fits Carnage perfectly. It's deranged and humours in a dark way but also morbid and somewhat sad. Even if its because of a force compelling him to do so and he is absolutely awful at doing it, it is kind of nice seeing Carnage try to be a hero and help people with his powers. Unlike Venom however Cletus is just so messed up he can't even understand how to properly do good, even if he is compelled to do so. It's tragic how he latches onto and tries to learn how to be decent from a woman who is essentially a sociopath with just as little regard for others well being as Cletus used to have. Maybe with the proper instruction he actually could've rehabilited himself in some way. I see this as a twisted darkly comedic tragedy ultimately, especially considering the next story he appeared in after this in the AXIS event he died saving Spider-Man.
Symbiotes take aspects of their hosts and since Cletus was its first host it became as insane and murderous as him. They’re so perfectly bonded that it’s impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins.
Can we acknowledge the actual awesomeness that is Carnage feeding his sins to sin-eater, causing him to grow building sized to then go "Oops, forgot one, THE ONE I'M NAMED AFTER!" causing him to overload and self destruct.
Carnage would make the ultimate hero.Compared to other symbiotes like venom or riot.He is has more resistance to fire and sound,he is almost invincible.

Yes, Axis: Carnage. This and Deadpool Vs Carnage are the two greatest Carnage miniseries and the perfect explanation why he’d never work in a PG13 Superhero Movie.
Axis Carnage for me is one of the best phases of Carnage, I'm just sad that it didn't last long, I would love to see a whole saga of Carnage trying to be a hero, but because of his psychopathy he ends up doing the right thing in the most controversial, brutal and stupid way possible.I wish he had something like that in the future much better than the current god crap he and Venom are trying now.
I don't think Carnage gets redemption. He'd probably just end up like that guy that absorbed sin... Just showing up thinking that he's doing the moral justice when he's really just killing people again.

Not to the extent he's some boyscout but to the point of what they're going to have Eddie do now apparently as Carnage: killing serial killers etc, Marvel Editorial stll able to make some Red Band label out of it.
