I love NYC and I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the history of the city in order to solve a treasure hunt that started there in the 80's by a dude named Byron Preiss. I think it'd be really cool to talk about that in one of your videos! Somewhere in NYC there is a 40-year-old "casque" burried 1-3 ft deep, and if you find it, you can redeem a $1,500 gemstone. All of this can be found in the book called The Secret: A Treasure Hunt by Byron Preiss. The whole book revolves around immigration, folks leaving the old world to come to the new. This would be such a cool Sick Plug I think! Keep up all your badass video's regardless! I'm learning a lot from you, and if I'm ever in NYC I will definitely be hitting you up for a massive tour!

The floors are the same as my old shop in the West Village, thankfully 4 tenants after me they’re still there😃! Oh to be back… soon, but *not* the EV, when I moved back to NYC after living in London in the mid-80s I said ‘never again’ as it’d changed/gentrified so much in just 6 mos! Gimme the “grit” back & I’ll consider it👍!
Tom, nice job, thank you. Have you thought about going across the river to Jersey City. There is a great Spanish restaurant there called El Sabroso. They just celebrated their 30th anniversary . They specialize in Puerto Rican and Central American food.
Very cool. My husband lived on saint marks for over 20 years and always pushed me check this place out, I always refused. Now that we moved uptown because our beloved East village is not as family friendly…. I will 100% drive down to check it out, business like that’s are fading away
I had a great grandmother who sort of had a speakeasy during Prohibition. Guys would come to her home to play cards with my great grandfather and she sold them glasses of home made wine. It was a nice way to make a few extra bucks.
Love your videos! Entertainingly comprehensive and informative. For a bit of constructive criticism though. You should stop interrupting the people you interview, or just abstain from the interview all together. You do not seem to be interested in the response they have to your inquiry, but more concerned with your next question.
I love your efforts Tom. I love your video tour's. I cringed just a bit with the unscripted efforts. However, I do like your effort to interview. I think you could benefit from a third person like I think it was Lucy. Your niece if I remember from the Tampa tour. She could maybe keep an eye on potential rambling or potential distractions to your video or interview messages. I think you all are great. Just keep dialing it up. Although the mug shot is a feature of your video's. The stepping on it for comedic reasons made me sad. Because I think of you as the 🌟.
