"Ooh this doesn't look that bad, maybe it's just one of those creepy-lookin' wholesome game" *Sees bullet on the upper screen "Welp" Edit : Nvm i just saw the full title of the video smh
it's got a good mix of influences- Zelda, Animal Crossing, Undertale, and the Dark Souls-esque mechanic of your life and your currency being one and the same- enemies drop blood, you need blood to stay alive, and blood buys needed boolets, with later areas requiring much more ammunition. The bosses having a "you need X many bullets" so you don't wind up in an unwinnable fight, and the enemies respawn mean staying topped up on Ammo and health is just a small chore, so you can play at your own pace. I kinda like game design where you can play aggressively, but playing playing it slow and boring for a bit makes it easier. Like yeah, Dark Souls is hard, but farming for herbs and buying a truckload of arrows can make it way easier.

@@m.g.trazor417 Ah okay. Well since you gave me some info about the game I might as well give you all that I can recall of it. From my memory some organization made a virus called the Heaven's Smile. It's an episode of Lassie. Timmy fell down the well, and Lassie is getting help. Except Timmy is a demon that can corrupt reality, and Lassie is trying to banish the demon so they and the rest of the transformed villagers can rest in peace.
From what I gathered, the pit was once used by humans in the old village to toss away anything and everything they feared, hated or disliked, starting with one truly horrible person (the king of infinite space) and then more bad people, before the town judge got drunk with power and started throwing innocent people in there who displeased him, and then he himself was thrown in there, and from there everything spiraled out of control, with everybody throwing in people, places, things, and feelings that they couldn't tolerate until that pit just became a black hole that sucks up despair and hopelessness. Then that pit became so thick and heavy with despair from everyone and everything that was tossed into it that it just couldn't contain it anymore and it spilled out, swallowed the human village and turned the remaining humans into animal people, who then tossed the old village into the pit and built a new "animal village" over it. This would explain why going far enough down into the pit takes you to the empty hollow human village. At a certain point in the game you see a dead body that looked identical to you and checking it reveals that the body is a "seed", which means you are a seed as well. The fact that you have to bury yourself at the bottom of the pit shows this. What are you a seed of? Hope. You are a seed of hope, and your goal is to bury yourself in the deepest darkest bottom of the pit, so that the hope you have inside you will sprout like a seed and fill the pit with hope to replace the despair. The idea is that one day the hope will become strong enough to save everything and everyone.
Animal crossing? Sure. But there's something to be said about vague similarities to Undertale, Resident Evil, and Silent Hill, as well as maybe Gungeon. Very faint and simple parallels.
Ending 1: you plant yourself hoping to change the nature of the Doom Pit to a Normal Pit as you put down roots. Ending 2: you feed a trickster god, loose a demon for lulz, and plant yourself where you started because why not?
Overall, there are only two real animals. The crow, and yourself. Everyone else alive is a victim of the pit This is because the original evil that was pushed down the pit is corrupting everything, and now slowly starting to spill over. Hence why all three other animals are so expressive; they were once human. Ending 1, you bury yourself, with your hope, in hopes that you're enough to tide over the fear, corruption, sorrow. Likely not to work. Ending 2, you release the evil that had been cast in the pit, the first seed of corruption, at the expense of your friends dying and Animal Town being destroyed. Likely for the best, as they're already warped by the darkness. In killing the source of this evil, you go and return to slumber... Likely to try and use the hope within you to restore the land, to undo the evil that had taken it.
